I have the same radio and the steering wheel controls would not work directly with my 2008 Ford Taurus. I had to use this adapter - Axxess ASWC-1 Steering Wheel Control Adapter.
I have the s8 Ultra and I had been working fine for the 3 months ive had it but now CarPlay just stutters. wired or wireless, it just plays choppy audio, its super annoying. Atoto support have given me heaps of things to try and nothing is working. Its practically the reason I bought this unit so im pretty annoyed. If anyone has any ideas to fix it, please let me know! I purchased the Atoto S8 10" and everything is going well except that the clock setting get's out of sync like it completely disconnected from any power source... I thought these radio head unit comes with an internal battery for saving info and time? I tried disabling the clock and enabling automatic time zone and both did the same as if the internal battery had completely died out... I only had the unit for less than a year but I had this problem since the day I installed the unit. It never bothered me since I always have my phone mounted next to it, but it's that little annoyance than I wish it would go away... Thanks!
so far everything hooked up and all functions working. Only one thing that concerns me. Have you noticed the backlight screen pulsing very slightly? It’s almost naked to the eye but if you look closely you can a very mild pulse/flicker.
Hi! I just purchased this radio and I'm trying to wire it as we speak. I see you have some connectors for your rear camera, but I dont see anything to connect to the rear camera on mine. Am I supposed to purchase something separately? And if so, could you tell me what I'm missing? Thank you!

Did you link the usb port you have installed and the usb plug with an interconnect? I guess a double sided female piece? I have the same deal where I have two usb ports built into a round socket that plugs into my current system which has usb ports on the back vs that proprietary wire connector of the atoto.

use the handset data, share the hotspot data to head unit. open the wireless function of your car radio, choose your handset's hotspot name. Then tap the projection/screen mirror button, it will do.
Hey, Quick question I heard you say google maps will only work if you have internet connection. Shouldn’t this have satellite gps since it has the gps signal adapter. In other words shouldn’t gps work without internet connection?
I have the same question as it says "In-Dash" gps. So my assumption is it's supposed to use the GPS feature without internet like a factory radio does mostly nowadays...🤔🤔
Thank you for the video. I actually purchased and installed this system. There are things I like and some I don't like. You mentioned you can turn the display off and still listen to music, how? The power button only mutes or shuts down the whole thing. I went through the manual and can't find the answer. Can you please explain how?
@@mathaab actually press and hold power button turns off the radio completely. All music shuts off. There is no way to blackout the screen and still have media playing. Even in the darkest setting the screen is bright.
I was on a trip driving at night and the lowest brightness was distracting. I looked through the settings and found a screen time out. Let's you listen to music and blacks out the screen. Not sure if that helps you.
@@earicruz9105 I found that setting too, but the second you adjust the volume or disturb the unit in anyway the screen comes alive and stays lit for 30 seconds, the shortest setting for the dark feature. Atoto needs to address this. Also, while using the bluetooth for streaming music, The only screen on the display is a goofy wave feature that goes to the pattern of the music, I would prefer album art.
Have you heard of some issues with subwoofer output being too low? I want this unit and have 2 10’s with a fosgate amp for the subs another amp for highs
I bought an A6 performance and that is the exact issue that I have with it. I am utterly disappointed to say the least. I even bought a DSP and a line driver hoping that I could use it to get it to sound better but didn't have any luck
great review without a single word about the viewing angle of the QLED which is important to know how good and clear the screen looks from the side - the driver do not seat infront of the screen..i now have an IPS based system and screen looks good. i dont know if going with QLED will make things better or worse. i don't trust promotional clips about QLED. i wished the review would show the screen from more angles. having said that - thank you for sharing this review.

you can get an adapter for your steering wheel but it aint cheap. Most steering wheels nowadays run by canbus. The old ones it was quite easy, it was just plug and program in the headunit.
yes. Mine is this model. Does look kinda cool but i couldnt fix it properly. It doesnt move during driving tho. Youll lose the steering controls if you dont put an adapter. Also it's not easy to install since you need a cable to run to the steering key lock for accessory power (basically tells the radio when to turn on or off). Audio is top notch as gps, wifi and radio reception. Also calls are pretty good.
How much ram does yours have? I just ordered the S8 gen2 standard which has 3 gigs, hoping it's enough. My Kindle drives me crazy with it's low ram slowness.

I just bought the Atoto S8 but I am having problems with the volume, which even in Volume 1 is exaggeratedly high that it is even impossible to talk. I have a Hyundai Santa Fe which comes with a factory amplifier. Could my problem be here? Any suggestions that you can give to the technician who installed the multimedia center for me?
I thank everyone for their responses. The problem was that I had a factory amp in my SUV and the speakers were double amplified. Directly connect the speakers to the multimedia center and the problem was solved.

You don’t need wifi for gps that’s what the gps antenna is for.

@@wrybread 2GB RAM which good for just listening to music and Google Maps. But if you're switching back and forth it might lag. But 3GB might help it

Did you install it using a interface that is specific to your car ?
Go into the equalizer app and make sure "loudness" setting is disabled. I think mine was on by default so that should help.
