Yep, extra steps are always a good thing. I put the K&M Steps on a couple of my IH's. They work really well. I call them old man steps. Trouble is they were close to $400 when I bought them. Now the damn things are close to double that. There are some really handy people out there that can build them a lot cheaper. I think you will be really happy with the ones you have now.
My friend Cory bought a set of them for his 986 and seems to like them. I used them a few times when I drove his tractor and they seemed to work well. I really AM happy with the steps I just installed on the Olivers.
People said “when you turn 40 you’ll feel it” I said BS until turned 40! No questions asked when they said it about 50 lol. Oh I like to say “I’m a full figured fella “ anyway nice upgrade
Man yeah Mr Charlie, that is awesome!! They turned out great!! I love that the 1086 has three steps, so I know exactly!! Job well done sir!! Enjoyed seeing ya, turn some wrenches 😁😁 Look fwd to seeing whats next!! 😁😁👍👍🌽🌽🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks Nelson - hopefully the next thing will be bringing home the "new" White 5100 planter with the splitter for planting soybeans - or maybe planting oats if things dry out - we've had over 5 inches of rain over the last week.
Well, there’s no doubt that makes it a lot. Easier to get into a tractor in your right as we get older. It’s a little bit more difficult that good fine.
Looks great 16:18 Charli😅e. I know it'll make it a lot easier. I knew I was gonna have problems getting on and off the😊 4020. So I made me a 2 step. And put on it, send me a text and I'll send you a picture. Thanks for the video, my friend. 😊
Yes, my Brother in Christ. Thank you so much for the text message. You'll know more about my excitement. When I can talk to you on the phone. I'm going to send the picture in an email so that it does not get cropped down so bad. You'll be able to see more detail. Please let me know that you have received it. Thank you. God bless you, my Brother in Christ. 😊🙏🙂
Great video again Charlie, I have a loader frame on my Allis that works perfectly as a step. I can appreciate the ease of climbing on and of with a good extra step, extends my energy a little hopping off and on picking up square bales lol
Yeah, the big thing is situations where you get on and off many times during any given day - I think that's what gets to a person most. So, I think this will be a big help this planting season, as I will be using my 1550 for planting corn and my 1650 for planting soybeans.
You'd have to check with Tom to see if those steps would bolt up to a 2-70. I never had one, so I don't know how the step situation is set up on them. You might also want to check with Maibach Tractor to see if they have something like they had for my 2-110.
@@pagrainfarmerI'm almost positive they will. From what I've seen looking up parts there is naturally differences with motor, transmission, and other internal parts and sometimes even in the same model year. Generally frames, castings, and main parts are shared. Since they share the same frame size alot of times I'll see white 2-70 listed with Oliver 1550 and 1650s.
I need to get around to making a couple steps for some of my tractors too. These look like good steps, I have not found any that will fit my Fordson though or my Moline. Less stress on the knees and back prolongs the working life I was once told.
That's the truth. I think the steps are especially helpful on days when you get on and off many times, as in planting season. Sometimes getting off, I hit the ground pretty hard - definitely heavier than I should be, but I'm working on losing weight.
@pagrainfarmer I'm working on that, too. Some of the medications I'm on are known for complicating that. I have been focusing on my diet, but I'm just not getting there yet. Weather is turning nicer, and I have been feeling better since my brain surgery. I will be getting out and moving more and more.
I know what you mean about needing a little help getting on your tractor. I tend to struggle a bit getting on the 770. I'm older than you so it's even harder at times.
Look like a nice addition. Many of us ain't as limber as we used to be.
And any younger farmer who now thinks that it won't happen to him, well, just wait. It happens to us all.
Those steps look very nice, should serve their purpose.👍
Yes, I'm very pleases with them. I think they were a good purchase and very easy to install.

Yeah, it catches up with everyone. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
That is a great improvement Charlie, and looks great
Thanks Jan! I think it will really help out.

Great to hear from you. I think the steps will help out, especially in planting season when I’m on and off the tractor a lot.

Thank you, sir! I think I'll be happy with it.

Thanks for stopping by, Thomas. I appreciate it.
I've had some stiffness lately making it harder getting on equipment, I may have to get a set for may 2-70.

Well, I guess all that's important is that we keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep on going as long as we can. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I wonder if the third step would work for my 1755 cab tractor. It’s a long step up right now
I'd give Tom a call. His number was in my video. It might bolt on to your 1755. I don't know.
