    Excellent video, thanks for posting. I had a water ingress issue on my cherished Audi 8P1, I have had the leak fixed (perished seal now renewed) but I need to take the passenger seat out to aid trim & carpet lifting to enable full drying, be interesting to see if I can find a video on this as want to make sure I do it correctly!

    Hi mate, absolutely superb video! At the risk of sounding stupid, is there much of a different with a 2013 plate Audi A3, 1.6 TDI? I am absolutely struggling to find any guide!

      We haven't removed the seat on a 2013 model, but from experience the process should be very similar.

    Do you need to disconnect battery for half hour or so,,,, to eliminate risk of airbag deploying, and after reconnecting will it put any lights on dash regarding airbags, I ask only because I removed my glove box to replace heater motor, and after refitting it showed lights on dash for passing er airback, thanks in advance

    Hi there
    Great video, but I must have fallen asleep part way through because you started on the drivers' side and finally removed the passenger's side.
    Did I miss something ? ? ? ? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

    Hiya thanks for the video. Any idea if this is the same method for the 5 door version? Cheers

      Yes, the bolts and the electrical connections are the same on the 3-door and 5-door models.

    Will the Audi A3 S Line 8P
    Alcantara
    Half Leather
    5 Door Sportback
    Complete Set Of Seats fit my Audi A3 sport 2L TDI 2005 (55 plate) including all the wiring with no problems?
    Also are these seats heated? Thanks

    • @SelectVehicleSpares
      @SelectVehicleSpares  2 роки тому

      Yes, as long as yours is also a 5-door model they will fit. The seats in the video are heated, if you buy heated seats, but your vehicle doesn't have the wiring for heated seats, you would need extra wiring and a different heater control panel for them to work.

    Great video👌, do you know what the second plug is that you disconnected?

      The second plug is for the seatbelt warning switch.

    Great video! Did you disconnect the battery before removing the seats? And did it bring any dash lights up after refitting? Thanks

      @SelectVehicleSpares  3 роки тому +3

      Hi. Yes it is always a good idea to disconnect the battery before doing any electrical work. We didn't get any dash lights when we refitted the seat.

    I went straight in and didn't remove the battery and after refixing the seat back on I now have the Airbag sign on. I think I might need to check the fitting again or clear the fault code with a diagnostic machine.

    hey guys, do you know what's under the passenger seat carpet? (left hand and facelift but 8p)
    let me explain: my car somehow got with a lot with water under the carpet in the passenger foot, so I'm thinking if there's a module/unit there, it's in danger...
    if you say there is nothing, I'll be relieved.
    thank you guys.

    I have a Audi A3 2007, can i switch the seats with all Audi A3 from 2004-2012?

    • @SelectVehicleSpares
      @SelectVehicleSpares  Рік тому

      Yes, as long as they are from the same model (e.g 5-door seats in to a 5-door vehicle), and they have the same options, such as electric/manual adjustment, heated seat function etc, then they will be a direct fit.
