Thank you so much! I was able to prepare properly and complete a replacement of both headlight assemblies with no issues all thanks to this video! ❤❤❤❤
Very good tutorial. Just shows that modern designers are not too concerned about the diy mechanic. Having said that it is unlikely that a headlamp would need removing too often.
The 2010 model should have a brace under the headlight that needs to come out. two of the headlight bolts are connected to it, and the brace is connected using two bolts near the radiator. It's hard to explain but if you're have trouble getting the light out you may need to take out the brace as well. The video got me 90% of the way though 👍
Blessing. Also If you don't have a narrow T30 To reach down to get the headlight screws out you can use a long flat blade screwdriver Without damaging the T screw.
Good vid very easy to follow, I'm going to do this on my S3 with the Xenon's, well basically I need to swap out the passenger side ballast so I need the headlight off to get the actual part number, is the ballast attached to the light, in the light itself or attached to the car 😅
If the weather is warm you can try removing the bulb cover from the rear, and letting the lamp 'air out', this may help get rid of the condensation temporarily.
Wot ball ace just to remove the headlight full bumper off and change head light bulb as there is not enough room to get the plug off the back of the bulb
@@SelectVehicleSpares do really have to? because it looks like, that the light is fixed with 3 screws from the top (to unscrewed them with the long screwdriver)
No problem mate let me change a lightbulb, only need to remove the wheels, the bumber the tube with windshield washer fluid, the guards, shrouds, transmission, computer, air conditioning, engine, quite easy really just a 2 day job
If you just want to remove one of the headlights you can undo one side of the bumper and also the top bolts and pull the bumper away from the car just enough to get one out.
@@SelectVehicleSpares , I wonder why it wouldn’t pull out with just the top 3 t30 bolts undone , what a pain the drl holder got bent when I was trying to replace the bulb and shattered inside I can’t see what’s wrong with out getting the headlight out .

to replace the main beam bulb in that exact headlight requires the lamp to be removed, so yes, It is removed more often than it should
@@faer075 On the 2006 A3 we used to have you don't have to remove the lamp. There is access to the bulb from behind the headlamp under the bonnet.
@@bmw-e30i had to remove my front bumper regardless and the back hole gives you no room 😂

Excellent tutorial. Thanks for sharing I’ve got to get my headlights out cause I hit a piece of wood and broke the lens.
Excellent demonstration and explanation. Thanks very much!
This is so stupid, on a 2008-2012 fiesta you can remove the headlight in 2 minutes, this is overcomplicated for no good reason 😢
Haha your comparing a german Over-engineered piece of equipment to a fiesta. You sir are a clown.
Wow thanks. Got to change a light bulb on mine. 👍💯

The ballast is attached to the headlight casing, on the underside, usually held in place by 3 torx screws.
@@SelectVehicleSpares perfect thanks 🙏
Thank you this helped me tremendously 🙏🏾
Much appreciated - thanks for sharing!

Is there anyway to demist / clean condensation inside without having to remove the headlamp? Thanks

How to replace headlghtwasher .mounted in the bumper on the 2016 s3
Thank you guys!
I bought the light myself not thinking it be such a hassle, unreal 😑
so can i remove the headlights without removing the front bumper? thank you
You will at least need to remove one side of the bumper to get access to the lower headlight fixings.

Thank you
I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO REMOVE RADIQTOR AND OTHER STUFF IN WAY SO I CAN TAKE OUT ENGIN AND REPLACE IT WITH NEW ONE
I need new plastics covers. Mine are toast. Anyone help to find just the plastic front lenses.

Thanks Audi 😢

I've broken the clip to take the headlight off
Cioè per cambiare una lampadina bisogna fare tutta sta caciara??? Meglio buttà la macchina!
No, this is to change the complete headlight, not just the bulb.
Can’t believe to remove a headlight the first thing you need to do is take the under tray off 😂
bloody hell just to change a bulb... Thanks for the video though
Taking full bumper off for headlight lol
It is a fucking pain. But hey, at least you know no one is gonna be stealing your headlights!
Yeah the A3 is painfully complicated on the headlight compartment. No room behind to even remove the bulb.
takin off the bumper is super easy, putting it back on is a shit show.
Trovo assolutamente assurdo in una macchina che costa oltre quarantamila euro, doverla smontare metà per sostituire una lampadina.... che vergogna!!!
Never buy Audi again! Why they complicate our lives so much!?
I had to remove my bumper as well on my FRS, toyota isn’t safe either!
Take out the whole fkn bumper? Wtf…
