He's also probably one of the most vigilant entities in Doors. This guy clearly hates your guts and will do anything to get to you. He ran all the way from Door 50 to Door 100 just to get to you. Even when you supposedly escaped, we still tries to stop you. He even follows you to the mines and tries to get you. He just doesn't give up.
@@lepulsar21I guess Screech just wants some attention, and gives us a game of peek-a-boo to get the attention he wants. And you ignore him, he gets frustrated and bites you.
i have a theory non-related to figure, but its basically that when rush comes dupe's fake door number falls off after rush passes by and when you walk into it you cant open the door, so dupe is scared of rush i guess
@@FunzeeTime yes, and also i have another theory, when you encounter one dupe you cant go back to the room but can go to other dupe rooms, if there is a big hallway dupe will have alot doors, so he might be teleporting through a door the player goes through
@@FunzeeTimeI don't think so because the same thing happens when a dark room with dupe the fake number also falls I think developers did that so if you're walking and you don't see the doors numbers so you don't duped by no reason
guiding light is probably smarter. it distracted figure on door 50 by knocking over the lamp, and it clearly knows how to open and close doors cuz of the seek chase.
Yup it is, guiding light and the other lights (the red one and curious) can manipulate the place and literally the future at their advantage (or OUR advantage)
in the tower heroes event, it shows el goblino and the gang locking figure in the room. i'm pretty sure figure didn't purposefully lock himself in the library, but he must have had a plan for you to come back as he waits for you at the end. it still shows how smart he is, especially when you think that instead of figure running to the other section of the hallway, he jumps into rain. this shows that figure does know how to cool himself off, and knows every route of the hotel as if you use hacks to go into the room figure bursts out of at the end chase sequence, there's a broken window implying he knew how to get back in.
Something i saw was that the place he comes from in the electrical room is just a dead end with some of that meat stuff in it He doesn’t really have a reason to be in a dead end, but the meat could serve as a sort of “spawn point” or “warp point” for Figure, since he’s also a macho meat düd That explains how he’s able to get from the library to that part of the electrical room, despite the lever being on the other side
Me too, I thought Figure just jumped out an window and somehow got to door 100, I had second thoughts too, he probably kinda has the same ability like Seek. And we all know Seek, the main antagonist, comes out of the floor with goo around it. So, this man is probably right, it can teleport to different places, but he literally has legs, why can't it walk there?
@@MelonBloxOfficalSeek isn’t the main antagonist. Figure isn’t either. If it was either of them, we would’ve had more than one floor where they are the main antagonist each. I think they don’t want to overuse the same entity too much.
4 months later and yes, this theory still holds. It's probably why Figure 1. wait for you to enter ~door 112 to jump down, and also why he can get to the doors of the other 2 encounters.
And when you use the new clock item. He won't just break it and forget about it. But he starts running around where the clock was for a while after and the same thing happens when you use the cross on him
I personally think he's a smart predator, because he's actively searching for food, like having a light in his mouth to lire gloombats and eat them (has an animation of eating them) so that's pretty cool
I’ve always thought there were just a bunch of different figures roaming the hotel. One inside the library, one in the electrical room, and a few in the caves. in fact, I believe the species originates from the cave and that’s why they hunt glow bats. We also fit in more with the floor two entities.
@@hiddengemzstudiosI think that might be the most plausible theory, since it’s odd how figure wanders around aimlessly in the short hallway for like 5 minutes while you get to his next room (which is like 12 rooms later) and he’s just.. there. You don’t hear him appear there, he’s just there. It’d also explain how despite moving kilometers away from figure in the seek chase, you still see him later on at around 175-185
@@hiddengemzstudiosFigure has always been in the Hotel, according to El Goblino. We see no reference to past instances of Figure, and Guiding Light says “The Figure” as if there is only one.
What I thought of Figure appearing in room 100: If you look at the corner that he came from, there is a pile of meat. Maybe Figure uses these piles of meat like seek does with his puddle of goop to get around places.
and some of the rooms after door 50 are beat up and the beat up ones always have the pile of meat so figure was in these rooms and thats why they are beat up,and also explains why we dont figure on the way to door 100 because he is ahead of us
I don’t think this is true, since there’s a pile of meat in the crouch area in the circle room at 175-190, and yet when he hears you in there he never goes through.
The only thing I think is figure was there before and then he discovered the library so he decided to go in guiding light trapped him and he got to door 100 because of glitch teleporting him there
I personally think that the library is locked because of the guiding light. From the discoveries of Game Theory, the Guiding Light has been proven not to be an angelic presence, but an entity called an Architect. Guiding light is the reason that all these rooms are randomized and sequenced, so it is likely that guiding light used the lock to trap the figure in the library, but put it on the inside to give us a means of escape. And the only explanation I could come up with for why Figure is somehow in door 100 without any visible way of getting there, is that there are actually 2 figures. The first time we see the figure, they stumble around mindlessly while flailing their arms. But the next time we see the figure, they seem more human like, even using the railing of the stairs to walk down. And if you go back upstairs after the figure chase, you can see that the figure appeared to be standing in a pile of flesh. The figure was theorized to be a homunculus, so the possibility of there being 2 separate figures is likely.
I agree with that but the flesh pile he stood on what if the third architect ( the creator of the entity’s) teleported him there or they just guided figure to the room via the walls but he is too big for the walls so maybe there are two or he used the pile of flesh to fast travel there
@@soupsangwich I guess being able to teleport between flesh piles would make sense seemingly because the Guiding Candle goes out while figure is present, even though figure isn’t a ghost or anomalous by nature otherwise
@@Raggys_RabbitHolewhat if he uses vents? He has been shown to break walls and in floor two he is crawling in pipes so maybe he breaks the walls the crawls through a pipe
@@soupsangwich that would be a good explanation but there isn't any in the room he comes from, so if anything i'd say he just broke himself down and rebuilt himself in that room full of decaying flesh and bone as well as anything else.
Some months later when floor 2 releases Figure got to the mines and i think that when he fell off the elevator there was a way to the mines where he is in 1 room.
I feel like instead figure could be some kind of species of animal in the hotel. Perhaps the meat spawns figures one of which eventually becomes the figure at the end of the game.
Nah but why does the hole figure come out of have a meat pile??? (I still prefer the theory someone made that figure was taking a shit, i mean it kinda screams at us when the closed door is open)
In the new update when the mines were added, the layout of the courtyard was changed, including a new basement you can open using loppers. In this basement, there is an inaccessible area with a door in eather end and the flech piles on the ground. I would assume this is meant to imply that the Figure passed through there, so the Figure must have bashed open a barricaded door and gone into this area, because it is strong enough to do that. it must have entered the electrical room through that door in the power control room where the power puzzle is located. (Just a theory!)
If you look at a teammate after dying, you can see their head seperated from their body, but figure didn't "eat" them in any way. Maybe they use their teeth to disconnect the head? That also means that figure doesn't want food, it just wants you to stop making noise.
no, in the new mines update if the player dies to figure and another person sees them dying to figure an animation will appear where figure LITERALLY DISLOCATES THEIR HEAD FROM THEIR BODY IN THE MOST BRUTAL WAY, figure has no chill
Guiding light is on the player's side. Mischievous light (nickname but normally has no name) is against the player. Curious light... Isn't against OR on the player's side. So Curious light may have a chance he controls a monster too because he is kind of Guiding Light & Mischievous Light. Curious light, controls figure. Not too strong, but not too weak. Mischievous light controls seek, because he is the strongest. Guiding light helps the player, because she is the weakest. So in my opinion Curious Light helps figure but also helps the player half of each. FLOOR 2 Are there more figures? Let me explain. So figure, as you know spawns in 50 or 100, also came back in The Mines. But might there be more of them? So as you've heard in this video, Figure navigates throughout the way you've heard. And you may have seen those ''flesh puddle'' things after the Jeff Shop. Those are made by Curious Light, not Figure. Curious light tries to make more figures using the flesh puddle. Figure is made out of bones and flesh. Makes sense, right? Well Grumble, Queen grumble & Giggle are all the entities looking like flesh if figure wasn't there. So he crushes giggles to mix them in a puddle with the help of Curious light, and a new figure is born.
With how doors floor 2 now out, we see figure going through things like vents, and actually moving. And so it has some proof of him navigating. Like how does he know to crawl in that vent, then I guess falling down
something that you didnt mention during the theory of how figure locked himself into the library was that it could have totally been another survivor sacrificing themselves, we can see on the paper on the desk it was clearly someone/something telling survivors that come here on how to escape the library, and i dont think it was guiding light who wrote stuff on the paper because the text wasn’t blue, and pretty much everything guiding light related is blue
you're right, it could have been although, if you look on the paper, there are very obvious blue highlights over key components, so it could have been guiding light
he probably was like: "I can't let this... thing roam wild, if it does it could find the exit and get out, I cannot allow that, even if I have to die for this to happen."
That makes so much sense. Because the hotel has been here for many years so the dead body of that sacrificed survivor would already be rotten or eaten away, what if that survivor wrote the numbers on the books hinting the codes. What if the real code was actually somewhere and the survivor saw it?
Figure locking himself behind the big door in the electrical room also has the added bonus of alerting him to when we've reached the room, due to the sound of the door opening being very loud. If it wasn't for this, he'd just be wandering around never knowing if we were even there or not, which might have made getting past him easier for us. (Maybe he wouldn't be searching as hard, because he doesn't even know if we're there to begin with, or something.) I like to imagine this was an intentionally employed strategy, which would fall in line with the idea of Figure being smart.
I personally think Figure has sonar and whenever he roars he’s trying to get a mental picture of the room to try and find you and navigate himself around. This also supports an idea that Figure might be a machine but I don’t believe in that theory
@@DagreatTizin11 the goo that seek is composed of is anything the goo itself consumed, take for instance a player, upon a player's death by seek's hands, the player's corpse is then seen covered in the goo that makes seek up, so who's to say how many people it has taken, in fact that may be why seek has a humanoid form, he's mimicking us, a human, but he can't perfectly nail the shape, for example, this is why he has no fingers for where his hands should be thus making it difficult for him to open doors (even if guiding light possibly didn't interfere.)
The Mines adds to this since like u mentioned Figure has knowledge of the layout of the hotel. Not only is he able to navigate the hotel with his blindness he is able to navigate through the pipes of The Mines as when u first encounter Figure in The Mines he actually falls through a pipe.
i love how figure was the big bad guy in the hotel, but got his spotlight COMPLETELY stolen by seek. hes now a side character like rush, not as big of a threat.
I think the reason he can travers the hotel is because figure waves his hands around to feel his surrounding, explaining why some rooms are ripped. maybe because of him having trouble in the cramped room.
The electrical room where figure reappears in actually has a broken window in where figure came from. So figure actually just travelled from a window of room 50 to a window in room 100
I believe The Figure works like a beast, not an intelligent creature. It has the knowledge to hunt prey, but not knowledge to do basic things. For example, a bear can cleverly predict where its prey is going and what its instincts are, thus it can hunt it and kill it. However, if you put a bear into a boxed room and all it had to do to escape was open a door, it’s probably not going to do it. The Figure locked the door because it knew that if it didn’t the players would escape, before we make it to door 50 The Figure has zero knowledge of our existence. It’s only when we escape and Guiding Light locks the door on Figure that he now knows there’s food to hunt. Seeing the door got locked, he took an alternative path to door 100 and the Guiding Light could have been the one to lock Figure inside. In the mines, Figure repeatedly shows up in a last ditch attempt to catch his food. But inevitably fails. Edit: So you guys seem to think that I’m going against this theory. I’m not. Figure has proven to be very intelligent. This comment is for the purpose of adding on to the theory along with getting my personal thoughts out there. This isn’t a war.
U compared bro to a bear, said a bear couldn't escape from a boxed room, den proceed to tell us dat figure locked himself in, n used another path to get to the player💀. Blud ur just proving dat figure is smarter than a bear 💀💀
@@ImABlackie825 Bro. It’s an example brought up. And I was never disproving Figure as intelligent. The point is that Figure can do tasks to help it catch its prey however it can’t do tasks that are actually simple.
Well figure has proven he has intelligence cuss when he ran down the stares he held the railing and normal animals do not do that so he is indeed intelligent but what your saying might actually be true tho idk
@@MainAwesome11_YTYeah, like using the handrailing in the Electrical Room. Oh wait… that’s a counterpoint. It was also able to figure (heh) out what was keeping the elevator from falling instantly and cut it, sending the player down into the Mines.
@@HungryWarden I doubt his goal was to send the player to the mines. It was more like breaking open the elevator. There’s a tiny hole in the elevator where the cable connects. Perhaps he was trying to pry that open.
Yes,the figure is quite intelligent for a blind creature like him. Thank you for this video Cheddar, good night for you and for Your subscribers. Smartgure >:D
I have a theory (which I totally didn't steal from matpat 2.0): the third light characters is the modifiers because the third light character can manipulate entities to be faster, more Aggresive (attack more) or just messing with the lights with the bad electrical work modifier thing (idk which, I forgor) because he can break and/or flicker the lights without any entities appearing but also this is more backed up by the fact that a red barrier stopped you from entering the rooms with modifiers indicating that the third light character doesn't want you to enter the rooms with bad modifiers/ good modifiers because for example, you used my legs are killing me modifier and the rooms entity can catch you easily since your movement speed is slower and have to go through 1000 rooms hence the third light character doesn't want you to enter rooms because it's harder (bad time or injuries since a-90 does 90% health) /easier (faster, faster, faster or it can run too since seek doesn't exist in rooms) with modifiers thats it I totally didnt steal this from matpat 2.0
One of my theories about figure is the fact that he has been in the hotel so long that he has it completely mapped out the entire hotel in his brain and so he can basically see anything as long as it doesn’t move or change, which explains how he knows where to go and how to not run into the bookshelves in the library, but he doesn’t know where the player is as it is a new thing and he has not seen it before which means he has not mapped it out.
It occurred to me that nearly every entity in Doors is named a verb except eyes and seemingly Figure. However, the verb form of figure either means to be a prominent part of something, or to think. Figure could easily be referring to the first one, but this could also point to the fact that Figure is a little more calculated than he first seems.
no verbs guiding light figure eyes curious light a-60 a-90 a-120 blitz lookman haste gloombat firedamp el goblino jeff bob modifier/ mischievous light jeff the killer window/ sally shadow jack vs. with verbs hide seek rush ambush dupe halt screech giggle grumble glitch
Fun fact: during the breaker puzzle at door 100 figure breaks a window to get to you. If you crucify figure during the final chase to the elevator you can go into the room he came from and see a bald Kreek painting and a broken window… he must’ve climbed all the windows to get to the top where you are. This man knows the hotel from the inside AND outside VERY VERY well. I also think the way he got to door 100 before us was by using a fire exit or something similar. Witch is the blocked area that figure comes from
0:08 This was before the mines update, so everyone thought figure was the main antagonist since he had 2 of tge hardest boss fights in the hotel, but now figure only serves a small role, which is to guard some rooms. So figure went from final boss threat to dupe level threat. So now with 3 seek encounters, 2 which are back to back. The final encounter for seek is the door 200 boss battle, which is arguably harder than door 100. So it's now confirmed that seek is the main antagonist.
Since the release of The Mines I would argue that Grumbles are the most intelligent entities. They have colonies similar to that of ants, and it seems that they kill you to hunt for food and protect The Nest rather than to just try and go against you like Figure. They also seem like creatures that existed before the Hotel and Mines. I think this because there are multiple Grumbles throughout the Nest that can be seen together, they have juvenile versions of themselves, and have colonies. This makes them feel more sentient than other entities for me
One detail that might help is that in the original end cutscene figure jumps onto a different exit to the mines, I think he uses the mines as a mean of easily transportation, you may ask “how the hell would he do that?!” Well, I think there are way more ways to enter the minds than the elevator shaft so he’d probably use those
@HanneGabrielSiccuan because there are also rooms called wrecked rooms because of figure leaving meat piles in the hotel but only in one door by a hole through the mines
@HanneGabrielSiccuan figure is always above us seeing in the elevator crash he jumped off on a higher level that's how he can only acces these areas unlike the hotel he knows this place and maneuver such when he jumps out the window when he's on fire yet to come back in the electric room
i call the red light one "bloody light" or "modified light" since it represents the modifires of the game, just look at the areas each one covers: guiding light (canon name is "MoonLight" [Guidance candy's icon]): in the backdoor only doors, in the hotel and the mines, doors, items, pick ups and where to go during seek curious light (canon name is "StarLight" [volatile startlight candy's icon]: in the backdoor, money, levers, items, in the hotel and the mines only money, in the rooms is items, money and pickups bloody light (canon name is "BloodMoonLight" [can-die candy's icon] ... bloody light is made to posses dead bodies besides it only talks to you in the rooms when you die ... is guiding light but angry
Something I find interesting, figure is blind, but figure also has a light. Which is why I believe that figure is made of curious light somehow. This is further proven when you realize that hide is nowhere in the library or electrical room. And where curious light is, hide isn’t(rooms and back door) I do believe that the modifier light controls them as curious light seems to be locked away from the hotel by the modifier light(Ex: the modifier wall, A-60 and A-90 are red like the modifier and curious light doesn’t really know what they are)
Hide isn’t in the Library because Figure rip the closet open and kill it. We only hear Hide when it’s agitated but there’s a high chance that it makes sounds too quiet for us to hear it. Especially considering Hide seems to have control over who hears its sounds. Maybe Figure doesn’t have eyes in the traditional sense, but it feels light somehow. It could have some sort of sensory organ similar to eyes but hooked up to the nerves that cause it to feel things, so it feels when light reflects off of a surface in a certain way similar to echolocation.
@@HungryWarden if the second part was true, it could see and therefore if we were in its light at all, it would know where we were. Also the mines basically prove that hide is a ghost of some sort, not really a physical entity that could be ripped out. Also it’s not like there are any destroyed lockers to back that up much. Also if Hide is able to choose who hears then he could just make figure not and the problem would be solved.
@@samuelsetzco6201 Figure could destroy the closets. Also I specifically mentioned that it’s not eyes but rather it feels light like it feels temperature.
In the upstairs area in room 100 where near where the elevator is located, there's a small hallway behind the corner which figure first comes from when you open the gate to the stairway. I think figure busted down a broken door that the player couldn't get through. There are several seemingly unopenable doors throughout the hotel, that are either broken or just missing a knob. So figure could have broken through the library entrance door and broke through another unopenable door, and used that path to emerge from that hallway in room 100 I mentioned. This could still indicate that figure is still smart, and knew that the gate in room 100 was closed, and was guarding it until the player came. Just a little thing I noticed.
Ngl i always thought that figure inside both the library and the electrical room was always a metaphor on his character, library showing knowledge and the electrical room in a similar way.
Another way figure could have showed up is if there are two of them, just like there are two grumbles. Both grumbles are also referred to as grumble, so maybe both figures are called figure. 😮
Fun fact: Curious light is working with us while helping figure + he eats gloombats so he originated from the mines so that makes figure more smarter the fact he got out of his home HIMSELF
He first beheads you and after he assumes the others are gone he starts to eat as he throws the head on the ground so maybe it's just so he can safe his prey
"He has some good navigational skills " bruh that guy gets stuck on walls every minute and then gets glitched and starts walking back and forth for minutes 💀💀💀
4:19 That mean guiding light is the smartest one he literally distracted figure by breaking an a chandeliers/lamp bc Remember when guiding light said when u died to figure second time "Any sound can trigger sense" That make sense now figure blind but can listen u breaking lamp is bit of loud so figure distracted bc the breaking light sound make a loud noises making figure hear it and distracted it.
I dont know but i think figure can track you as when floor 2 released he jumped down right as we entered the room probably hearing us hearing us and tracking us means he is actually smart
In my opinion, the Figure moves around like any other mostly blind creature would; Echolocation. It prefers to hunt as an ambush predator, awaiting an ambush in the Library. It chooses the Library because when something or someone enters, it can hear them a lot better than if it were an active predator. Once its first plan fails, it likely uses a secret switch, most likely a book like in that one room type from the pre-Hotel+ version, to access a secret area, getting into the electrical room through either a back door or the Backdoor area, which has been confirmed by Curious Light to be older than the Hotel (if I remember that death message correctly), showing its knowledge of the Hotel. With this, we can say that the Figure is relatively old, likely just as old, if not a bit younger than, the Hotel. How does it deal with the time limit and entities in the Backdoor? Simple; it probably eliminates any instances of Blitz that try to attack it, likely eating them for nutrients. For Lookman, it can’t actually see. For the time limit, and consequently Haste, it likely just isn’t affected by Haste, or simply tears it apart. If it doesn’t tear Haste apart, it likely uses echolocation to flip the time switches, and to differentiate the actual doors from doors with Vacuum behind them. If it does get sucked by Vacuum, it’s likely stronger than Vacuum’s pull, cancelling the effect. As for why it doesn’t just fall with the elevator at the end of floor one, it may be *resistant* to most types of damage, but it isn’t immune. Instead of trying to risk the fall, it simply jumps from the shaft into a cave, which it found through echolocation. Anything else that I forgot about, or should add?
I really love this! but can you please explain to me the "secret book switch" before the hotel+ update? I never heard of it and also in floors two i think figure also hunts down gloombats which might the reason he emits light and he also crawls through pipes I also realized that figure used to stretch out his long arms while walking so he can catch you easier but now he walks like a human (i don't really think that's important tho) i don't really know much about floor two since I can't get through the door 150 (I am still trying please don't spoil me) but if you said that figure walks through the backdoor then how can he enter the backdoor? as far as I know I think the hotel is just a limbo (the phase between death and hell) cuz there is a message in the courtyard written in wingdings saying "limbo" And I don't really think of any ways the figure could enter the backdoor And if he is aware of the backdoor Do you think he would be aware of the rooms too?
Curious Light actually said that the Backdoor is “no older than the Hotel”. This could mean it’s the same age or younger. I don’t know where you got the secret book switch from, but I know what you could be referring to. There used to be a room that was a maze of bookshelves with a switch you had to flip. I can see the association your brain would make especially considering how different it was from the other switch rooms, but it’s a false memory. And you could be right, the switch could be buried underneath all the destroyed furniture on the wrecked staircase. Figure realizes that you’re gone and starts searching through the pile of wrecked furniture to find the switch and it opens up a passageway. It would also explain why it doesn’t follow you immediately as all of that stuff would take time to clean up. Furthermore, as for why the wreckage is there in the first place, it could be Guiding Light trying to make sure this is the only encounter the player will have with Figure. Though there’s no way Figure has ever been to the Backdoor or Rooms. They’re both relatively empty, it’s hard for it not to leave a trace of its presence. The only way to even access the Backdoor is to go to the Lobby.

My theory: Figure was trapped in the library by the guiding light when he was a person and sacrificed himself to lock it in by hiding books because figure is blind. But after we escape the library guiding light blocks and holds figure for a few mins, but then the mischievous light helped figure to break the door and directed him to door 100 by an secret passage or teleported him. But when figure was at door 100, guiding light appears again and closes the door after pushing figure in. Hope u like my theory!
Guiding light will help us with a blue wall in the floor 2 update in the seek chase too when we beat the game guiding light will not help us with a wall however figure can jump on the elevator then break the wire Maybe Edit:i like myself
Also he got into the electrical room by the blocked path at the top of the staircase, then he hid in the room with meat he could eat until players came to him. He was the one who probably blocked the path
my theory is that guiding light placed the lock, because if figure did himself he would already know you'd be going to the lock, but no guiding light somehow knows that you need the paper for it so thats my theory and also guiding light closes the door after you escape to ensure figure is trapped also with the lever to door 100
@@Stics_animationsOkay, Halt is Guiding Light. That makes no sense at all, does it? We don’t have any confirmation Seek is the red light. Also the fact that the lock is 5 digits kinda shows how smart Figure is, because Guiding Light needed 5 entire digits to lock it in.
@@HungryWarden what are you talking about? Halt is NOT guiding light you're delusional and no your comment makes no sense at all figure is dumber than you think
Curious might be the smart one, as figure uses the handrail, and it’s hard to walk down the stairs with blindness. However, he does use echolocation to do this, as he is blind. However, as I had stated, he uses echolocation, but still doesn’t find the player instantly, so I believe that when figure lights up his mouth, curious light guides him, as curious light is the middle architect (Meaning he could also want to kill the player, since he thinks they’re a threat, or he just doesn’t know which team to choose), and the light is yellow.
Ngl with floor 2, seek has become way more recognized as the main antagonist. Grumbles are also smart, as they have been trying to plot to escape seek, but failed after the queen grumble was captured or killed by seek
Especially when floor 2 came out I think figure has more knowledge of the hotel than the mines, because in the mines you only see him twice and one of the times he doesn’t do anything. seek is more of the villain in floor two maybe he will return and get like seek infected in floor 3🧐
2:37 My theory is I think figure randomly found the staircase after falling in the mines in someway and he bumps into the self near the rift aka the end of the staircase causing it to move a bit and blocking the path. Or he used echolocation to find his way to room 100.
when you enter the room, there will be that untitled painting right before the entrance. in the middle is a yellow star (could be curious light) and towards the corners is a blue moon (could signify guiding light) and at the opposite corner is a red spiral (could signify the third light entity in your theories) also, when using the crucifix on figure or seek, the crucifix turns red and breaks and i believe it does so because a force is acting against guiding light.
I thought figure and seek broke out of the crucifix cuz they're jacked lmao I mean doesn't figure literally rip the players' heads off with his bare hands
Another way he could of gotten into doors 100 is this. I know this was made before floor 2 but it makes a lot of sense. On door 111 I think it is we can see figure fall out of a vent. He likely travels in vents or pipes to get around. Thats just what I think though.
Sometimes you can see some yellow-ish light coming out of figure's mouth, and what kind of light is yellow? Curious light. So my theorie goes about the link between curious light and figure or even that they both are the same thing. Which also implies why curious light doesn't understand the monsters of "the rooms"
We know that Figure is the main antagonist of the hotel. He appears in room 50 and 100 just to kill you. It’s like protecting something that we don’t know. We can see that Figure is very competitive against humans. The one that locked him in the library could be El Goblino, so he couldn’t destroy the shop. Figure is indeed smart. We can see that he knows the inside and outside of the Hotel. Figure maybe had be the Owner of the Hotel, as he knows everything about how to get in or out. The entity Figure also knows the rooms, like the Courtyard, The Library, the Infirmary and the Electrical room. But he isn’t very smart that he could outsmart humans. Us, the players that try to escape the Library know much about the Hotel, like it isn’t our first time here, but Figure surely had been 100 times through the Hotel. Figure is indeed a smart entity, but not the smartest.
Actually figure got a "bit" smarter, in old doors he just jumps like he does not know anything But now in Hotel+ update he just go down the stairs normaly😁
I remember figure is had eyes and her trancparency is 1 making its impossible for you to see the eyes theres a theory by me that figure actually losed her eyes and can remember what he see in the hotel the eyes can be visible in studio (i think)
Fun fact: did you know in the gamefiles that figure has two eyes? The "Eye1" and "Eye2" is "Transparency: 1". so if you turn the two into " Transparency: 0" you can see the eyes that are meatballs.
According to my knowledge from playing doors since 2 years, mischievous light (the red one) is not the one who controls the figure, curious light does, because there is yellow light on figure on his mouth and when he is touching a wall. And curious light sent him to door 50 to protect the library which has books that has important and sensitive information about curious light. Nice video I learned a lot from it :)
@@NessGameprays Or maybe the light's purpose is to ward off Screech. The Gloombats are fast and tiny so Figure isn't able to get a good grip on them to eat. Additionally, Gloombats like to stay in a swarm so even if Figure catches one, the other Gloombats will attack it.
Yep, and Lighters and Candles are also Curious Light. Halt is Guiding Light. A-60 is modifiers light. Can we realize this makes no sense now? None of the lights make sense to control entities as they can’t do very much to interact with the world. If anyone made Figure intentionally they messed up horribly, they should’ve given it eyes.
My theory with Figure is the reason why he does this like lock himself and corners the player is because he wants to test them as in toying with his prey kinda like Seek how he makes you run if you're too smart then figure goes to plan B which is locking himself within the electrical room for the elevator placing the pieces in different locations making sure you are cornered in one area where he roams and how figure gets their you may ask simple everytime we get a rush room or a halt since figure can detect our heartbeats and knows we know if he makes sound he times this right meaning he rushes to the Electrical Room when Rush, Ambush, Or Halt is encountered because your are distracted and focus on the other entities and not figure himself so by the time you make it to the last door Figure is already their waiting for his prey in a last ditch effort to play and kill the player
Figure tends to be serious and straight forward when hunting unlike seeks who plays with his food like. (Seek can Basically one shot us easily if he wasnt playing around until we flushed him) andd figure is smart enough to go to hiding corners to check if we are there and corners we would likely hide to.
In The Mines , when you fell on the bridge , i think guiding light found an minecraft so he/she saved us and pulling that cart to the safe place while also guide us...
Figure probably did have eyes at one point but in some kind of fight he lost the front part of his face and since hes made out of human parts he probably just generated in sharp teeth
At the time 1:31 I have a theory, it might be a stretch, but anyways. I think the reason figure, almost destroyed the area is because of the noise coming from the rooms, wouldn’t that explain a lot? Because el goblino did quote that he almost destroyed the entire area, and the area near rooms is covered in claws, explaining that figure was trying to find the noise, which he was successful due to the fact that there is a scratched or broken area, of the rooms allowing us to go into the rooms, figure might be using the walls to traverse the hotel, since as from this video explaining that figure is a smart monster, I think he might be using the walls from his found knowledge of trying to find the noise.
I have a theory that there r multiple figures and figure making his way to the electrical room (if its the same figure) can be easily explained. Each door is like a portal that connects to a random room, like each time we die, the room changes. Figure might've escaped the library and made his way from 50 to 100 by using random room generation because he can just break though the room.
6:42 figure has eyes in his files but if he cant see then he is PARTLY blind because he was smart enough to go straight for one of the wires probably meaning that he can see a little bit but not fully and uses his incredible sense of hearing to help him but hey thats just a theory it might not be correct
In some doors after library there are meat stacks, the same that are in the electrical room, i think figure can form from this like seek but with less power
Yeah they were kind of covering up the fact that seek was going to be important if you don't know what I'm talking about even before the Hotel Plus update there was constant foreshadowing that seek was important people just didn't pay attention and focused on figure
This was made five months ago before we even knew seek was going to be there though he was implied to be the man antagonist before the Hotel Plus update we were just too focused on figure to actually see the foreshadowing
I have a theory, in the area where figure sees us in the door 100 once we open the lever there is some flesh. If figure is made of that flesh, I think there are 2 figures one in the library and one in the electrical room. In the mines, that other figure (door 100) could have crawled through the vents and the door 50 figure could have been the one at like door 189
@@Huhahhua makes sense but also there is clearly alot of meat for him to eat in the rooms he pass by(post foor 50) and in the rooms he's found in floor 2. Also he got an animation of literally stoping on the lamp knocked by guiding light,i understand stomping on the clock but on the lamp too? I dont really think he hates noise but i do think he hates certain high frequencies (also why he goes kinda crazy on top of the elevator at the end of door 100) This is only my theory and im haven't like fixated on it yet so throw your opinions if u want altho i dont really care too much of lore stuff(relative to how much i enjoy just playing and speedruning a bit)
No it's actually grumble figure is the third but in terms of strength figure is second only to seek because of the fact that it's heavily implied that he scarred the queen Grumble and forced it to retreat
I mean this was made 5 months ago we as the community should have looked at the very obvious foreshadowing that was very apparent before Hotel plus that seek was the main villain we just were too focused on figured to actually see it
i can just say how he got from door 50 to 100 its because he vented. we have proof of this because in the mines usually around doors 11-15 you will find a room and if you look down you will see a vent cover where figure is, once again proving that he used the vents because they are usually 1 way pathways
This is why I like the old cutscene in room 50 a little better (not saying the new one is trash, it is super good), because the old one portrays figure’s calculations and intelligence better. The new one makes him look like a power hungry monster, reckless and ruthless. But the new door 100 cutscene is soo much better lol
Figure can’t be the mangled body of a builder, he comes from the mines as his light is a trap for gloom bats so he can eat, the gloom bats can be found in his stool around the hotel and mines. and he’s experienced in killing giggles too
He's also probably one of the most vigilant entities in Doors. This guy clearly hates your guts and will do anything to get to you. He ran all the way from Door 50 to Door 100 just to get to you. Even when you supposedly escaped, we still tries to stop you. He even follows you to the mines and tries to get you. He just doesn't give up.
he finds vents and jumps down from them and its the player that entered the rooom figure was in
and he goes twice in the mines through door 120-181

in the tower heroes event, it shows el goblino and the gang locking figure in the room. i'm pretty sure figure didn't purposefully lock himself in the library, but he must have had a plan for you to come back as he waits for you at the end. it still shows how smart he is, especially when you think that instead of figure running to the other section of the hallway, he jumps into rain. this shows that figure does know how to cool himself off, and knows every route of the hotel as if you use hacks to go into the room figure bursts out of at the end chase sequence, there's a broken window implying he knew how to get back in.
Tower heroes event is uncanon
Something i saw was that the place he comes from in the electrical room is just a dead end with some of that meat stuff in it
He doesn’t really have a reason to be in a dead end, but the meat could serve as a sort of “spawn point” or “warp point” for Figure, since he’s also a macho meat düd
That explains how he’s able to get from the library to that part of the electrical room, despite the lever being on the other side
Flesh portals
Like seek?
Me too, I thought Figure just jumped out an window and somehow got to door 100, I had second thoughts too, he probably kinda has the same ability like Seek. And we all know Seek, the main antagonist, comes out of the floor with goo around it. So, this man is probably right, it can teleport to different places, but he literally has legs, why can't it walk there?
@@MelonBloxOfficalSeek isn’t the main antagonist. Figure isn’t either. If it was either of them, we would’ve had more than one floor where they are the main antagonist each. I think they don’t want to overuse the same entity too much.
@@HungryWarden seek was proven to be the main antagonist the entire time in all of doors now.
Maybe Figure uses these piles of meat like seek does with his puddle of goop to get around places.
and some of the rooms after door 50 are beat up and the beat up ones always have the pile of meat so figure was in these rooms and thats why they are beat up,and also explains why we dont figure on the way to door 100 because he is ahead of us
I’m pretty sure that figure might be a homunculus
figure can’t go under the floor

Sounds good but it would still make sense to only have 1 Figure for the Hotel

@@DagreatTizin11Well if you had hearing 10x better than the average human, you’d be pissed too if I made a loud ass door opening noise.
That also means that figure doesn't want food, it just wants you to stop making noise.

something that you didnt mention during the theory of how figure locked himself into the library was that it could have totally been another survivor sacrificing themselves, we can see on the paper on the desk it was clearly someone/something telling survivors that come here on how to escape the library, and i dont think it was guiding light who wrote stuff on the paper because the text wasn’t blue, and pretty much everything guiding light related is blue
you're right, it could have been
although, if you look on the paper, there are very obvious blue highlights over key components, so it could have been guiding light
he probably was like:
"I can't let this... thing roam wild, if it does it could find the exit and get out, I cannot allow that, even if I have to die for this to happen."
But still Door 100 is still applicable, since is no other way (yes i know im late)
@@ChezmanCheddarBallsmaybe a player wrote the note and guiding light found it and further highlighted bits
(Maybe he wouldn't be searching as hard, because he doesn't even know if we're there to begin with, or something.)
I like to imagine this was an intentionally employed strategy, which would fall in line with the idea of Figure being smart.
quite obvious he is intelligent, he even uses the handrail 💀
He also does fucking parkour in teh older version of the game, AND HES BLIND.
He walks down the stairs which I think pretty hard when you are blind on 100%, and he did that pretty fast

@@EndIessProductions cannon balls* also you know echolocation exists right?
I personally think Figure has sonar and whenever he roars he’s trying to get a mental picture of the room to try and find you and navigate himself around. This also supports an idea that Figure might be a machine but I don’t believe in that theory
it's more echolocation than sonar, where he makes roars to navigate his surroundings. Bats use it as well.
A real life person actually uses echolocation like a bat, he was born blind but could make a unique sound with his mouth.

i love how figure was the big bad guy in the hotel, but got his spotlight COMPLETELY stolen by seek. hes now a side character like rush, not as big of a threat.

But can’t seek literally go through floors, so that means seek maybe can be a possibility

@joshedits I think he meant the main entities and not like rooms or modifiers
Main antagonist for the hotel. Seek is the main antagonist for the mines.
This makes them feel more sentient than other entities for me
One detail that might help is that in the original end cutscene figure jumps onto a different exit to the mines, I think he uses the mines as a mean of easily transportation, you may ask “how the hell would he do that?!” Well, I think there are way more ways to enter the minds than the elevator shaft so he’d probably use those
6:17 this guy also KNOWS how to move in the pipes from the mines too.
True
I feel like figure should not have appeared in floor 2 tbh
The light on figures mouth LITERALLY means that the second light figure(curious light) IS HELPING HIMMM
Hope ur joking bro
@HanneGabrielSiccuan he does that in the hotel With no gloombats
@HanneGabrielSiccuan what's the suspicion that he is in the mines first
@HanneGabrielSiccuan because there are also rooms called wrecked rooms because of figure leaving meat piles in the hotel but only in one door by a hole through the mines
@HanneGabrielSiccuan figure is always above us seeing in the elevator crash he jumped off on a higher level that's how he can only acces these areas unlike the hotel he knows this place and maneuver such when he jumps out the window when he's on fire yet to come back in the electric room
i call the red light one "bloody light" or "modified light" since it represents the modifires of the game, just look at the areas each one covers:
guiding light (canon name is "MoonLight" [Guidance candy's icon]): in the backdoor only doors, in the hotel and the mines, doors, items, pick ups and where to go during seek
curious light (canon name is "StarLight" [volatile startlight candy's icon]: in the backdoor, money, levers, items, in the hotel and the mines only money, in the rooms is items, money and pickups
bloody light (canon name is "BloodMoonLight" [can-die candy's icon] ... bloody light is made to posses dead bodies besides it only talks to you in the rooms when you die ... is guiding light but angry
Okay... How does this video have almost 600 likes? It deserves waaaayyyy more!!! I love all your lore videos so mucccchhhhh
Figure might use Eco-location. Also Figure is my favourite Entity
he's knows to take no shit when gen alpha kids come in and thats enough.
why do you think they are gen a kids?
💀
Fun fact: Curious light is working with us while helping figure + he eats gloombats so he originated from the mines so that makes figure more smarter the fact he got out of his home HIMSELF
4:12 He actually never eats you. He just rips your head off and throws it on the ground.
that's the third person jumpscare, the first person one is which he eats you
@@FabreDinostill, thats what happens. There is no way figure could eat you whole in one bite

For the final theory, I honestly like to belive Figure is just a monster that found itself there, it makes all of their actions stand out more
4:19 That mean guiding light is the smartest one he literally distracted figure by breaking an a chandeliers/lamp bc Remember when guiding light said when u died to figure second time "Any sound can trigger sense" That make sense now figure blind but can listen u breaking lamp is bit of loud so figure distracted bc the breaking light sound make a loud noises making figure hear it and distracted it.
Knowing how to survive does not make someone smart
Figure makes calculated decisions in the hotel a lot
I never heard of it
and also in floors two i think figure also hunts down gloombats which might the reason he emits light and he also crawls through pipes
I also realized that figure used to stretch out his long arms while walking so he can catch you easier but now he walks like a human (i don't really think that's important tho)
i don't really know much about floor two since I can't get through the door 150 (I am still trying please don't spoil me)
but if you said that figure walks through the backdoor then how can he enter the backdoor?
as far as I know I think the hotel is just a limbo (the phase between death and hell)
cuz there is a message in the courtyard written in wingdings saying "limbo"
And I don't really think of any ways the figure could enter the backdoor
And if he is aware of the backdoor
Do you think he would be aware of the rooms too?

Guiding light will help us with a blue wall in the floor 2 update in the seek chase too when we beat the game guiding light will not help us with a wall however figure can jump on the elevator then break the wire
Maybe
Edit:i like myself
Figure situated himself in two of the only 9 guaranteed rooms, knowing all players must pass him
Also he got into the electrical room by the blocked path at the top of the staircase, then he hid in the room with meat he could eat until players came to him. He was the one who probably blocked the path
my theory is that guiding light placed the lock, because if figure did himself he would already know you'd be going to the lock, but no guiding light somehow knows that you need the paper for it so thats my theory and also guiding light closes the door after you escape to ensure figure is trapped also with the lever to door 100
and no the mischevious light is with seek, because in seek's model he has a red light which would mean hes the manipulated one
@@HungryWarden and no my guess is guiding light put the lock you are answering nothing just saying random stuff
@@HungryWarden and no even if seek isnt the red light remember its a theory
Or he used echolocation to find his way to room 100.
when you enter the room, there will be that untitled painting right before the entrance. in the middle is a yellow star (could be curious light) and towards the corners is a blue moon (could signify guiding light) and at the opposite corner is a red spiral (could signify the third light entity in your theories)
also, when using the crucifix on figure or seek, the crucifix turns red and breaks and i believe it does so because a force is acting against guiding light.
also since the star in the room is bigger it could mean curious light could be more superior than the rest.
I thought figure and seek broke out of the crucifix cuz they're jacked lmao
I mean doesn't figure literally rip the players' heads off with his bare hands
Another way he could of gotten into doors 100 is this. I know this was made before floor 2 but it makes a lot of sense. On door 111 I think it is we can see figure fall out of a vent. He likely travels in vents or pipes to get around. Thats just what I think though.
Sometimes you can see some yellow-ish light coming out of figure's mouth, and what kind of light is yellow? Curious light.
So my theorie goes about the link between curious light and figure or even that they both are the same thing. Which also implies why curious light doesn't understand the monsters of "the rooms"
another theory is hes probably also the one who removed the breaker switches and scattered them across the area
Nah but then the break would just be broken
@@DagreatTizin11real it would be better for him to completely destroy the breaker
Unless he wants to travel to the mines
The door was locked there was no way the figure could’ve done that
Someone else must’ve placed the breakers away
Actually figure got a "bit" smarter, in old doors he just jumps like he does not know anything
But now in Hotel+ update he just go down the stairs normaly😁
I’d say the fact that it was able to do parkour despite the obvious handicap is way more impressive than being able to use the railing.
I remember figure is had eyes and her trancparency is 1 making its impossible for you to see the eyes theres a theory by me that figure actually losed her eyes and can remember what he see in the hotel
the eyes can be visible in studio (i think)
these eyes are from figure's old model, they don't prove anything
El goblino can speak And wears clothes
Fun fact: did you know in the gamefiles that figure has two eyes? The "Eye1" and "Eye2" is "Transparency: 1". so if you turn the two into " Transparency: 0" you can see the eyes that are meatballs.
According to my knowledge from playing doors since 2 years, mischievous light (the red one) is not the one who controls the figure, curious light does, because there is yellow light on figure on his mouth and when he is touching a wall. And curious light sent him to door 50 to protect the library which has books that has important and sensitive information about curious light. Nice video I learned a lot from it :)
i think figure mouth glowing is to get attention for gloombats to eat them
@@NessGameprays Or maybe the light's purpose is to ward off Screech.
The Gloombats are fast and tiny so Figure isn't able to get a good grip on them to eat. Additionally, Gloombats like to stay in a swarm so even if Figure catches one, the other Gloombats will attack it.
@@neelimarosekujur8061 he literally eats gloombath at the game if there were in the past room
@@NessGameprays Oh...
I think the reason figure,
almost destroyed the area is because of the noise coming from the rooms, wouldn’t that explain a lot?
Glow stick distracting him💀💀💀💀
“The figure is the main antagonist of the game.” That is what we thought…
Yeah they were kind of covering up the fact that seek was going to be important if you don't know what I'm talking about even before the Hotel Plus update there was constant foreshadowing that seek was important people just didn't pay attention and focused on figure
They should make it so seek in the chases has multiple randomized rising animations to make him seem more alive
I Love Your videos! It's very entertaining! I usually listen while making something. (You'll Totally not see this comment though)
Main antagonist? Not anymore
This was made five months ago before we even knew seek was going to be there though he was implied to be the man antagonist before the Hotel Plus update we were just too focused on figure to actually see the foreshadowing
@@elijah6189 Ik, that's why I'm saying not ANYMORE.
Figure hates noise thats why he in library coz he knows no one is gonna be there sitting reading
He doesnt actually hate noise, he's really hungry since he lures gloombats into hsis mouth (with the light) and has an animation for eating them
@@Huhahhua makes sense but also there is clearly alot of meat for him to eat in the rooms he pass by(post foor 50) and in the rooms he's found in floor 2.
Also he got an animation of literally stoping on the lamp knocked by guiding light,i understand stomping on the clock but on the lamp too? I dont really think he hates noise but i do think he hates certain high frequencies (also why he goes kinda crazy on top of the elevator at the end of door 100)
This is only my theory and im haven't like fixated on it yet so throw your opinions if u want altho i dont really care too much of lore stuff(relative to how much i enjoy just playing and speedruning a bit)
According to floor 2 figure is actually the SECOND main character, as seek being the main antagonist.
No it's actually grumble figure is the third but in terms of strength figure is second only to seek because of the fact that it's heavily implied that he scarred the queen Grumble and forced it to retreat
I mean this was made 5 months ago we as the community should have looked at the very obvious foreshadowing that was very apparent before Hotel plus that seek was the main villain we just were too focused on figured to actually see it
At 1:41, I noticed a spelling error. The correct word is "Doors." 🤓👆
seems like Figure really takes the Detour huh?
i can just say how he got from door 50 to 100 its because he vented. we have proof of this because in the mines usually around doors 11-15 you will find a room and if you look down you will see a vent cover where figure is, once again proving that he used the vents because they are usually 1 way pathways
3:41 actually, when using the "locked and loaded" or "key key key key" modifiers, the entrance to door 50 can be locked
but we don't see any bodies outside of the library entrance so no one actually did that.
This is why I like the old cutscene in room 50 a little better (not saying the new one is trash, it is super good), because the old one portrays figure’s calculations and intelligence better. The new one makes him look like a power hungry monster, reckless and ruthless. But the new door 100 cutscene is soo much better lol
In door 100 the cutscene I think figure should still jump down the staircase
figure is not just a single entity, it's a species
There isn’t really evidence that proves there are multiple figures
Figure can’t be the mangled body of a builder, he comes from the mines as his light is a trap for gloom bats so he can eat, the gloom bats can be found in his stool around the hotel and mines. and he’s experienced in killing giggles too
imagine every entity’s weakness not being looked at, and if u look at them they scream like screech and they go away.
me thought why Figure quickly go to room 100:
Glitch/Void teleport him quicker
But then figure would always be behind us
Glitch isnt "cannon" because Guiding light says what he has no idea who killed us.
@@klaassochnik8270Glitch doesn’t kill you, void can but glitch just stops you went the room generation gets funky
