Thank you.....I was sure I threaded it correctly, but after you said check your threading..I realized I just changed colors right before this happened.....YUP! I fed the thread THROUGH a hole when it should have just been wrapped around the hook on the top.... thats what I get for rushing. 4 different machines with 4 different ways they need to be threaded, it happens and will happen again im sure hehehe
All problems in home sewing machines start from the poor quality of the threads sold by merchants, without good specifications. Ask for and use polyester or nylon bonded and lubricated threads TKT 80 or 60 or 40, TEX 35 or 45 or 70, always three-ply and your problems will be greatly reduced.
Sewing has become so frustrating for me i feel like giving up. One thing to the next. Trying to sew a sheet days now an mid sewing it RANDOMLY BIRDNEST out of no where .. everyday... idk what to do. I leave over night, try the next day an it works for awhile an bestnest again...😭🙃
hmmm...try changing your needle and make sure you re-thread with your presser foot in the UP position. If it's down when you thread it'll cause birdnest.
Ive never heard the expression, but it has definitely happened. Thanks for the tips. Actually I thought you were really talking about a real birds nest...... lol
I need your help.I want to buy a beginner friendly sewing machine. I bought a Brothers sewing machine and the thread would completely wrap around the bobbin case. And this Brothers machine was brand new out of the box. I finally returned it and read the comments and this is a long time issue with the Brothers machine. I just need to be able to sew through layers. Any help is welcome. Thanks 🤗
If I had to buy a machine right now, I’d buy a used older Bernina. Or older Pfaff. The newer machines are all plastic parts that break and wear out fast. My Bernina 1120 was my moms and she ran her sewing business with it for 20 years and now I’ve been running mine with it since 2009. I’ve only had to repair it one time in all those years. I do bring it to have it professionally cleaned about once every two years(should be once a year). And every time the technician says what a great machine! It’s ALL metal parts snd built to last. I don’t know what your budget is but you get a really great basic Bernina 830 for about $300. If you can afford more then go up from there….1010,1120,1260. There’s many on eBay, and FB marketplace. Or see if there’s a Bernina dealer in your area. They may have used machines too, then you know it’s in good working order. I should make a video about this topic.
@@MimzyandCompany Thank You so much. $300 is not bad for a Good machine. And yes please make a video. I'm in South Carolina and will see if I can find a dealer.. Thank You So much...
Nice to see that even a pro like you gets bird nesting sometimes 😀
oh my! more than I'd like to admit. I can't believe how many times it happened before I realized what was going on.

Great advise. Thank you.
