Fantastic Views of Gloucester Park Basildon From The Air

Stunning Views of Gloucester Park and surrounding areas in Basildon Essex.
I have many great memories, and some not so good, of this park having spent all my life living somewhere around it. In fact, there's not much ground within the park borders that I have not walked on at some point in my life.
From my childhood when my Mum used to take us to the park and I would try fishing with a net to catch Sticklebacks with my brother, through my early and late teens and the many dramas those years bring with them, through my twenties trying to build a career, getting married and having my two fantastic kids, right through to today when I go out filming the beautiful side of Basildon that I know so well.
This park holds very special memories for me and I particularly love it here in the summer just to walk, play football or watch a Sunday league match. On the day of shooting it was the hottest day of 2018 so far with blistering hot temperatures, and it's only mid-July!
During the video you'll see fishing lakes (never could get the hang of it - sticklebacks were my limit!, although I do understand why so many are addicted to it), you'll see walking paths through the hills and around the lakes and fields, you'll see a play area for young children and a skateboard / BMX park where youngsters can go and practice their skills on the quarter-pipes, ramps and jumps (I've taken photographs of some of these very talented youngsters which you can see at my website www.gary-crouch.co.uk).
At one point the drone was being followed by Geese!
The last section of video was of two very pleasant gentlemen just out for a couple of hours at the park with their children, this was great to see. Thank you gentlement for letting me film you and giving me permission to post the video on UA-cam.
We've recently lost some of the ground in Gloucester Park due to new housing. This used to be where Gloucester Park Swimming pool was (where I met my Wife), kids park and lakes that were once used for boating - they were fun days!), hope we don't lose too much more.
This is a beatiful place and I love to come here often, I fly the drone but I also love just relaxing with a kite, going for a swim in Basildon Sporting Village or playing and watching football on the grass and 3G pitches.
