I love the modular, gravity ring spaceship used for transfer! And that Gemini helicopter was outta this world! I like how you use the Apollo style "transposition and docking" maneuver in almost every launch. So awesome.
I can't stop coming back to this video, swear to god about half of all the video views are me. The final design of it is just so amazingly done. This craft is flawless.
Great job on everything! Love the looks of the mothership and launch rockets in particular; most players give up on asthetic launcher design for giant payloads and make some weird contraption like 4 traditional rockets with the payload suspended between them.
I am saving this video for inspiration, the way you gave away on efficiency to make the crafts look good and actually succeeded was amazing, there's so many detail and tricks you used that I never did because I was trying to sim at efficiency, I never did a long cool mission like that because I was worried of going bankrupt because it's not really profitable to do something this big. Great video man, great craft!
I LOVE the idea of a helicopter lander Usually all eve landings I see are the same with a regular old parachute, this opened my eyes to a way I could land on eve without exploding like I usually do
for anyone wondering how to make a propeller craft: Tail rotors are an absolute nightmare to configure so it´s better to use another rotor rotating in the other direction. You want to put 2 motors in 2-way symmetry for better alignment and then use advanced tweakables (activate in settings) to remove one from symmetry, then stack them on top of eachother and make sure that one is rotating clockwise and the other one counter-clockwise. The Blades have a silver stripe that needs to point to the front and when you place them you want to click "deploy" and set the deploy angle anywhere between 20°-25° (usually works best). The way you will control the lift is by controlling the spin of the motors, for that you need to unbind the "brake" action from the brake action group for the motors, then you want to go and set the RPM Limit and the Torque Limit of the motors to main throttle.
I liked the second launches assembly. My ass sends a rocket per part when building in orbit. Here at KSP we spare no expense. Money, specific impulse or anything else.
Watched the whole thing, great video of a great mission. Impressive piloting and management as well, but I gotta know how much of this was done using the 'Kerbal' pilot (heading/target holds on the navball). I think I am underutilizing some mechanics of the game...
Thanks so much! Yeah, I make heavy use of the SAS autopilot modes since I try to film as much of the mission with the GUI hidden as possible. I use the target reference SAS hold during docking to keep the vessels aligned.
@@jamieloganaerospace6404 Good to know, I'll have to try that out. I've always manually piloted but it has often lead to... Mistakes. Heh. Thanks for the info.
I've never considered doing multiple staged burns from multiple orbits to burn closer to my manoeuvre node, normally I just do it all in one go, I'm guessing this is far more efficient. Is there a goldilocks zone to burn through to be most efficient? I was going to guess you were an engineer before I read your channel description, that or your name was Elon. Your designs are very impressive and it's a marvel to behold just what can be accomplished in this game with the expertise someone like yourself possess . Absolutely incredible work!
Really impressive. I've been playing since 2013, but the propellers give me a headache. I can't manage to properly control them. Tried with a quad-drone and still have difficulty adjusting proper pitch of the blades to slow down/ascend/descend. Do you have a craft file of your hovercraft? Or maybe some screenshots of the angles of the propellers, how they are programmed and key bindings? I would really like to build something similar for my new Eve expedition. Thank you in advance.
Quis ter esse jogo pena que nao tenho nenhum pc e um que rode esse jogo seria o preço de umas 3 vacas aqui no brasil. Fora isso adorei seu video novo sub
In KSPglish, 'Stock' generally refers to the physics, aerodynamics, and parts used. Everything shown in the video can be flown without any mods, visual or otherwise.
Why the hell aren't you using visual mods? Such a shame you spent (probably) a lot of time on this to have it look like a piece of garbage in terms of planets. It would have looked even nicer with those awesome visual mods, but its still awesome!
I love your prop and motor usage. 2k hours into ksp and I still have issues implementing them. Your creations are absolutely awesome!
Thank you very much!

There's a reason NASA went with that style and I believe with Artemis will use it again.

A rocket-helicopter?

Rare to find, great ksp content here. Keep up the amazing work you wonderfully talented individual

I love this mission profile!
Near-realisitic ones for stock planets are always special.
Been playing KSP for almost a decade, videos like this make me realize how bad I am at it.
Relatable

Absolutely stunning! Just bingewatched all of your videos and every one leaves me more in awe than the last. Have my sub!
OMG that tiltrotor is so beautiful!

This channel is underrated. Keep up the good work!

I always thought that the new rotor parts would be a game changer for Eve missions, but it never occurred to me to mount them like that. Nicely done!
i loved the heli rocket design its a very clever probably something i will never think of
that drone deployment was clean af
One does not simply return from Eve. You returned in style. The helicopter rocket is quite impressive.
Wow this is awesome. Very well edited!

Epic. (I cannot do most of it after playing KSP thousands of hours, damn.) The music and montage make the video even better.
