    Hi! My name is Loretta, a girl from the U.S. who moved to Japan! I'm here on the MEXT scholarship program as a graduate student, studying to get a Masters in Business Administration. Here are some answers to common questions:
    1. Do I Speak Japanese? Yep! I was taught formally in High School and have been speaking now for over 15 years.
    2. What are you studying? I'm a student in a Japanese "Masters of Business Administration Program"

    I was an exchange student in Yamanashi during the summer for 6 weeks. Back then there weren't that many videos about the prefecture, so I'm so glad you went there!! Honestly that place is home to me and I miss it so much! Seeing it at a little bit of a different angle made me fall in love with Yamanashi again! Thanks for the amazing video

    What you described about the Sakura trees, I think, was the result of global warming. The same thing happened here in the US at that time. So unusual to see spring in the fall.

    WOW. I've gotta say, I think this was one of the best videos you've made. I mean the cinematography was spectacular! It gave very chill vibes and made me feel very interested for the rest of the video. You've even captured the relaxed atmosphere of the places you've visited, layered with appropriate music(I mean the piano and classical were BOMB.) The way you described and explained the places made me feel like I was there, in your perspective. Thank you for this video!

I know western culture is something that takes (sometimes negative) part of japanese traditions, but at the same time I hope they make it more accessible (language wise) so we can learn and respect even more this wonderful culture! I have ever been the Kuon-ji temple, too! The stone stairs toward the main hole were incredibly steep, wasn't it. The temple is the headquarters of the Nichiren sect of Japanese buddhism, where the tomb of the sect-founder monk Nichiren exists.

    If youre fluent in two languages, which one do you think in?

    • @kemushichan
      @kemushichan  5 років тому

      Recently it depends on if I just got out of conversation in one language, or if I'm preparing to do something in a specific language next I'll start parsing things out in my head in that language. I've been working on a few travel shows recently and when the entire crew is in Japanese, they may ask me to "think what I want for Lunch" or "what I want to say in the next scene", and even though I can think faster in English I'll go over the options in my head in Japanese because I'm still in that "mode".
