Justin - thank you for ALL the research you do and for how much history you share with all your viewers. I love listening to it all - you do an amazing job! Well done, friend. Well done. Keep it up - it's SO appreciated!
The history you provide while showing all the fun stuff is part of why your videos are the best. You really need to be on the history channel or such. Way more entertaining than the rest.
Very cool! I'm a descendant of Wild Bill, about three generations back. He was a part of my great-grandmother's immediate family; a first cousin, if I remember correctly. Hickock is still one of our family names. Exciting to see some history!
Springfield!!! My old best friend from the 2nd grade moved there and I think still lives there!!! Love these videos! I saw an article about your Route 66 adventure and videos. My father would love that car museum. And I know I have mentioned this 100 time but my grandfather designed the concept car that was turned into the 1960's Batmobile! He also designed plenty other cool famous cars. Every time I see that batmobile it reminds me of him, he passed away this past January so I miss him a lot.
"What the fork", also heard on the TV show "The Good Place." The writers must have been inspired by you in a vision of the future. Great installment, as usual. :-)
My grandmother lives in Springfield, Missouri. The last time I went there i went to Bass Pro Shop, i don't know if you are interested in that sort of thing but i thought it was interesting.
I used to live in Springfield. That fork was outside of a restaurant that later closed and they moved it to the spot it's in now. I hope you enjoyed your trip.
I wish I could own some of the cars from the 66 car museum. I miss cars from the early 1900s. They were works of art and things of beauty. I loved how just before you walked back to that awesome batmobile, you passed a beautiful old Mercedes and a Morgan. As a car guy, that would've been my favorite museum. But I'm loving the history lessons all along the route as well
Red's wife Julia was my grandfather's cousin. I had the privilege of having dinner in their home in 1987. Everything is gone now and it was a little overgrown even then. Nobody really remembered Julia and Sheldon. So thank you very much for telling their story.
So much cool stuff in this video and Missouri may just be close enough for me to venture to just to see some of these awesome parts of Route 66 - thanks for showing us what is out there
Justin - I love all the hiccup edits.... so don't feel bad when you notice them yourself because they are just another part of what makes watching your videos fun!
I enjoy your videos, especially the route 66 ones. I'm taking a similar trip and enjoying all the attractions, stops and fun you are experiencing. I loved the Tombstone ones too. Because of you I actually visited Tombstone! Here are some Fork puns. ... This is a route 66 pit stop, fork over the dirt. May the Fork be with you on your route 66 travels... LOL corny!!!
It's kind of ironic that Route 66 is reliving it's heyday with all the tourism simply because of the fact that it is abandoned and everyone forgot about it...long live the mother road!
Ever been to Pioneer Village in Minden, Nebraska? Seems like the kind of place you'd enjoy--a gigantic collection of classic Americana, collected by a slightly obsessive plastics mogul named Harold Warp. Classic cars, aircraft, a couple of locomotives, entire relocated buildings, a huge number of musical instruments and washing machines and typewriters... it's a bit overwhelming.
My in laws live in Bourbon, Missouri right off Route 66 and Old Springfield Rd. I'm from St. Louis, MO go to Ted Drewes Frozen Custard. Keep on trucking
Lots of emotions watching this vlog with that 1971 repro of the *'66* batmobile from the show that came out the same year I did btw that is cool :D and while in a bldg. on Route *66*. Also watching this on the same day my childhood hero Adam West passed away, the best Batman of all.. :(.
Definitely more impressive shooting than the gunfight at the ok corral where they were like 4 ft away from each other. Oooh I love the little cottage motel!
Justin! Great vlogs.. when you reach Chicago you should consider a meet up! If you need any help in Chicago we can help, such as hotel and dinner arrangements. We can even schedule you to go to the biggest Disney store (behind the scenes) and which is the best store in the Disney company. The store is on Michigan avenue down the block from the end of Route 66. Have fun and be safe during your journey! Your friends here !
I love this video so much! It was so funny. I love all your videos and I have watched them all (I think)...LOL ILYSM! AS A FRIEND BTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! first too!
Did you ever go into STD while in Springfield? Despite the name, it was one of my favorite flea markets to go to while I was attending college in Springfield. It had loads of old Route 66 signs and other memorabilia.
You were Litterally 1 Block away from the ONLY Building on Route 66, that is Still doing the Same thing today, Uninterrupted an Never Closed, that it was Doing the Day Route 66 born on November 11th, 1926. The "Abou Ben Adhem" Shrine Mosque. Look it up. It's my Shriners Homw Temple. It's a Cool old Moraqin Style Building. Unfortunately we dont give Regular Tours, but it's an Amazing old building built in 1923.
Plus, that fork is HUGE!! One of my characters I've created is a dragon who is 657 feet long from the tip of his tail to the end of his snout! That fork is the perfect size for him!
RIP Adam West - you'll always be my caped crusader
just heard of that so sad
very sad day for batfans everywhere. quite a coincidence that he died shortly after you posted this video.
Danny D true
Justin goed to Springfield. I live in Springfield and happy
I agree I will miss Adam west.
Justin - thank you for ALL the research you do and for how much history you share with all your viewers. I love listening to it all - you do an amazing job! Well done, friend. Well done. Keep it up - it's SO appreciated!

Can't wait to see your adventures in my home city St louis!
The history you provide while showing all the fun stuff is part of why your videos are the best. You really need to be on the history channel or such. Way more entertaining than the rest.
I was thinking the EXACT same thing!!!
Those cars alone were phenomenal! One of each, please! Love seeing the highway vicariously through you, Justin!
I love how whenever you make these videos it makes me feel like I'm actually there
Good job Justin, your videos always keep me happy when I'm felling sad. Keep it up.
I am 35 and have lived in Springfield my entire life and didn't know some of the things you covered. Well done!
Very cool! I'm a descendant of Wild Bill, about three generations back. He was a part of my great-grandmother's immediate family; a first cousin, if I remember correctly. Hickock is still one of our family names. Exciting to see some history!

I stayed a week in Joplin once, many years ago. Loved it. Beautiful region of the country.
Another great video. My hubby (33) and son (5) stopped to stare at the car museum clips! :)
I used to live in Springfield. That fork was outside of a restaurant that later closed and they moved it to the spot it's in now. I hope you enjoyed your trip.

It's so crazy I got obsessed with it right around the time you starting filming Route 66.. just drove in Santa Monica Route 66 yesterday
Justin you could of said 'Use the fork Luke!' XD

The worlds largest fork is in Creede, CO. It was built to replace this one, it's 40ft long!
I enjoy your videos, especially the route 66 ones. I'm taking a similar trip and enjoying all the attractions, stops and fun you are experiencing. I loved the Tombstone ones too. 66 is famous today for it's unusual artifacts still on it.

If memory serves, that yellow packad is the same model used in the original Karate Kid.
That Packard looks like the car from the Karate kid. I'm probably wrong but it looks like what Danielson drove lol
Joplin is where we like to go shopping. It's less than an hour away.
100/100 love your videos
A lesson of The Food Channel since you need one. Its a channel that has food on it. LOL
How ironic, showing the Batmobile just as Adam West passed away. End of video, just say, ohhh, fork it!!!!
