Nicely done as always. I like that spot for flounder as well. There are always some flat boys to be caught lurking around there. Quality sheepers can’t be beat tho. Good work!!
@@VISUAL-LY Awesome! I’ve always had trouble catching sheepshead. Do find that they bite in more current or less current? Promise not to snake your spots btw
@@floridanative1541 I think it depends on the location and how much current. But generally, they def want current. And they’ll always be hanging out right where the current breaks are. Like right behind a piling, rock, or some type of structure.
@@VISUAL-LY I just sold my 16ft Carolina Skiff. It was 12 years old and I just sold it for what I paid for it back in 2010! Had a lot of great memories with her but I felt the time was right. I want to buy a kayak and get into kayak fishing for a few years until I get in a place to buy another boat. I’ve been watching some videos on UA-cam and found your channel. I would love to take you up on that offer when I finally get rigged and ready!
Yo Wsg I’m new to the Jacksonville area and I was wondering what is the best day and time to fish there in the near future, would Saturday be a good day? I just got me a brand new kayak and would love to catch lots of fish there!
Honestly, as the weather gets warmer, I would avoid fishing out there on weekends. That area will get so much recreational boaters and jet skis its ridiculous. They really show no courtesy to kayak fishermen. The parking lot gets really hectic too. Weekdays would be way better for sure. If you can only fish weekends, then I'd only go really early or really late. Hope that helps! Good luck!
Sorry, accidentally removed your new reply. But to answer your question, I don't really know which day will be best. I can only go when I have free time so I just hope they're biting. If I were you, I would go find the tide chart for that area and try to time your trip so you can fish the outgoing/low tide. Hope that helps!
hey thanks so much bro I've watch some of your videos its a great help when it comes to finding new spot. thanks for the reply, more catch for us in future gudluck.
I've been out there before, great spot! I need to get a better anchor as I have a paddle kayak. What size anchor do you suggest for my 11ft paddle kayak? That current rips thru that bridge at times
Yeah, be extremely careful especially when the tide is ripping fast! Could get very dangerous. I don’t use an anchor at all, very slim chance it’ll hold out there. I tie a rope around the piling. But doing that can also be extremely difficult or almost impossible. Only attempt if current isn’t ripping and you feel totally comfortable paddling around the pilings.
Hey Trong…Well done!!! how much weight were you using? I love that place but haven’t caught Sheeps there yet but have seen it happen. Anyways thanks for sharing bud. Hit me up when you can fish, also been targeting Pompano off the beach (surf fishing).
Thanks bro! I always use as light of weight as possible. You can see the current was ripping but 1oz egg sinker was working for me. Having any luck with the pomps? I can't get into surf fishing for some reason😅
@@VISUAL-LY yeah man, picked up a few Pomps as they are my first ever! You’re welcome to join me, I fish the beaches between Amelia to Little Talbot typically. More than likely will be for Flounder, should be alot of fun and can fish it at your leisure as you have a month to submit fish. Let me know kid.

When was the filmed? What month are the sheeps still around and biting I thought sheepshead as more of a winter fish.
Filmed a few days ago. Sheepshead are around all year. Maybe not the giant breeders but still decent ones around all the time.

Right next to the bridge at Ft. George inlet

how do you time the tide?i mean i got here the current is ripping its really hard to fish no bites😢
There’s no formula that works 100% of the time but I’ve had most luck last of outgoing through first of incoming.
