Great setup here Josh! Definitely looking to add the Venture X later this year, and the Free Authorized Users + Lounge Access is honestly super underrated in comparison to the other benefits like the $300 Travel Credit like you mentioned. Really looking to add the Chase Ink Unlimited at the end of the year for the welcome bonus once I'm out of 5/24 and like you will definitely take advantage of transferring to my CSP and then to travel partners. Great video as always!

💩 You have a really solid setup Josh! It's honestly very similar to what I see myself running in the long term. The Abound card is one that definitely seems to be an easy set-it-and-forget-it, and if I ever start to value cash back more than travel, that's definitely one I need to have on my list. Great video as always!!

Idea: if you wonder whether you’d use a statement credit, observe how much you’d use the spend in question WITHOUT the card. I tend to like Uber Eats and I like going to Cheesecake Factory every so often (usually once or twice a month), so it would make sense for me.

Great run through the wallet and congrats on your growing family! Have you thought about going for the Redstone FCU card? You could ditch the Amex gold, move the Citi CC to grocery duty, and you’d have 5x dining, gas, groceries covered w/ no AF

How do leave a review of venture x on capital one site? I had a nightmare scenario with a room I booked in a foreign country. The reservation never showed up at the hotel, because the agents they used in foreign countries insisted I send them passport information, which I had to find out only after calling capital one. Spent ours trying to resolve the issues. And the Hopper agents were rude and belligerent.
Really sorry to hear you had to deal with this. I don’t think you can leave a review directly on their website, but a number of the third party websites allow you to leave reviews I believe.

Lots of great cards in your setup here Josh! I've been looking more into US Bank recently as my next target so that Cash+ looks pretty enticing - but dang that's a lot of spend on electricity! If you got that spend though, the Cash+ is great card for that. How else will you see the 💩 when it goes flying!

What kind of places will they match?
I’m assuming not any of the mobile exclusive reservations.
The flight, hotel or rental car has to be an exact match, including refundable status, and it has to be available to the general public without requiring you to log in or have a special membership.
I use Bilt card to pay my rent via check, smh took them 3 weeks to get the check to my landlord. Good thing my landlord didn't charge me late fee since I have been renting over 7 years now.
That sounds really frustrating 😑 Was it this past month? Curious if it took so long because it was your first time using the check service... 🤔

Man I'm so glad, you mentioned taking a MC or Visa as a backup card for travel! For instance in Hungary, you won't pay your highway toll with AmEx and, the last time I was in Albert supermarket, I didn't see on the sticker with card issuers at the cashier's station the AmEx logo, suggesting them, as a supermarket, don't take AmEx.
Yeah, I know Amex is working on improving their coverage, but I know I certainly wouldn't feel confident ONLY bringing Amex cards on an international trip... Even in the US... I was just at Mount Washington, and they didn't accept Amex, lol! Thanks for sharing your experience! 😊

hahaha I think it may be a New Jersey thing... our cops up here get union cards that they can give to family/friends which you can then give to a cop if you get pulled over... sometimes the cop will go easy on you if you have a card. They're called PBA or FOP cards up here, which are the main police unions.
TBH never heard of the Abound card before and despite the barrier to even applying for this card I think it sounds like you make great use of its categories.👶🏼💩

@@joshua.butler- Some see credit union card bottom of the barrow cards, but u’ll find some really gr8 cards with them. And I have several. Lol. Especially with really gr8 limits.

It does! It’s been a great card. Another one to check out is the Redstone Credit Union Visa Signature.

awesome thing with Bilt too is you can use the ACH to pay utility bills that don't allow credit card use as well and get points. Also love their attempts to be and look and feel different with their app and perks and games and what not. Plus when you pay rent via ACH it can be paid via a linked bank account therefore not eating up your credit limit and yet still get the points.
