My grandparents were hippies. I would have loved to live during this time.

I was born and raises in SF. On our block (we lived near SF State) there was a "Hippie House" on the corner. We were warned to neeever go even near it. Some of my earliest memories are of the "creepy lights" and the dozens upon dozens of hippies going in and out. They all looked dirty and barefoot haha.

It was rather terrifying trying to get to class this evening as I had a few cars come really close to sliding into me. Everything around me is cancelled tomorrow at least: www.wkyc.com/closings So, I don't have to risk driving to class tomorrow.

@@HistoryandHeadlines Oh my goodness, how scary for you! See I'm a comfortable driver. I even learned on a stick and was comfortable on the steepest of SF hills but with icy roads I'm an AWFUL driver. When I worked (as a civilian) for HQ USAREUR in Heidelberg in my late 20's early 30's, that was my first experience driving in manageable winter roads and I couldn't handle even that!

Yes. The founder of the Hare krishna movement actually walked thru fire to save souls he had never met. He was already 70 yrs old and penniless when he left his homeland. He got a free passage by steam freighter to cross the Atlantic (which took 35 days) during hurricane season and suffered 2 nearly fatal heart attacks. The divine message he brought to the West as his mission for peace & harmony must be sincerely investigated by intelligent & good persons. This is from an elderly flower child that grew up near San Francisco, and has been familiar with the Hare Krishna chant since 1968. It's the only worthy game changer.

$2.50 for tickets to a concert sounds incredible!! The most unique concert I ever attended was probably The Beach Boys recent anniversary tour, they were my dad's favorite band and we attended once at Blossom. Very interesting being a young one in with that older crowd but the concert was so authentic compared to the new flashy and different tours artists take today!
