This song is not reacted to much. It is based on The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss. The main character Kvothe is a member of a traveling perfoming group called the Edema Ruh. They pride themselves as accomplished actors, story tellers, musicians, and singers. People look down on them, assuming they are all thieves, which they aren't. The songs they sing and tales they tell are repeated throughout the world. This song is a tribute to the band itself. Edema Ruh is Nightwish.
Word: And the spirit of the band show's so good in this video. They always have been punch of pranksters, still are. Mostly it is like the Family they/we are. All over the World, but still twinkle in eye's...Love to see that ❤...They take care the Nightwish Family. On and Off stage..👊. That is most important...
I haven´t read these, but since a lot of fantasy books are based somewhat on historical norms, then it is not unlikely that a travelling group of performers would have been considered as criminals and some of them even were. Still, it would be interesting to know whether he came up with the name just out of the blue or it has some linguistic origin.
@@Immortall1408 linguistically there is a link to the greek meaning of edema, swelling and the arabic meaning of ruh, spirit. So something like overflow of spirit, seeing the arts as an overflow of the rational mind? I of course do not know what the writer Rothfuss had in mind.
Greetings from Denver, Colorado. This was a sweet reaction. I've been blessed to have seen Nightwish live, here in Denver, three times. 2012, 2015 and 2018. The 2012 show was an adventure. Nightwish are simply AMAZING live. In my opinion, the best live sounding band I have ever seen.🤘
@@warhammer5690 That was a memorable night. Both ladies were wonderful, but Elize really stood out for me. Now that Jukka is officially out, as Nightwish's drummer, I'm so glad I got to meet him in 2012.🤘
@@MiguelLopez-is9te Wasn´t Elize also one of those who put their name for consideration back in 2006 when Nightwish searched for a replacement singer and that is why she already knew some of their songs to begin with? Because, I think she was.
@@Immortall1408 She was. I read an interview Thunder magazine did with her in 2013. She talked about singing for Nightwish, the previous year, and they asked her about trying out for Nightwish by sending in some demo tracks. She confirmed that demo track was her audition for Nightwish.
This was a fan made video that really gave you a look at the band in many personal moments. It was great and that "Caution....WET FLOOR" at 4:11 had me LMAO through the rest of the song!! Great reaction and to watch the fans and the band reactions made me love this band even more. I can't wait for their next tour although I would love to see them next year (2020) at Wacken as I am sure that will be memorable.
Thanks Kristin! I just love this song and that it's about Edema Ruh whom are travelling musicians and entertainers so the lyrics fit perfectly for Nightwish, it's like they are singing about themselves. Actually it's a tribute to this fantasy book series which has two books released and more coming. First one is called The Name of the Wind.
Actually this song was done live on the same video you just showed having them sing "alone" cover. It is beautiful. I have loved music all my live but when I discovered Nightwish 5 to 6 years ago, I have never been more impressed. I have seen them 3 times now. You have to see them. Usually play in at the Grove in Anaheim every couple years. You really understand what it is to be a "fan" when you can't get enough of their music
Hi there Kristin! Nice reaction for nice video. It´s always fun to watch when people enjoy what they are doing. Beautiful song, and they are the Edema Ruh for sure :)
Wow! Somebody looks absolutely stunning tonight. ;) Thanks for this post. It's lovely to see Nightwish together in these rare clips of them in the woodlands of Finland when they were recording their last album. This is what they are doing right now as they record the next one. Hope you had a great weekend! Peter :D
Thankyou Peter!! you are so very kind... I'm so very busy always but when i get to listen to Nightwish with all of you... just relaxing it means so much ... i love knowing NW is there recording a beautiful new album! so very exciting! cant wait! much love!
Both Marco and Tuomas are into sci-fi & fantasy. Marco has even commented that reading genre books he got from his father the English teacher (that weren't available in translation) helped his fluency in English. Tuomas has made at least a couple of references to Stephen King's "Dark Tower" books. This collaboration between them seems right on the money. Great song.
Hey Special K... It's important to see our rock heroes as people doing what they love. The time, dedication, years of devotion... Nothing happens over night. Hard work and sweat, that's how we all succeed. If you're not having fun and love what you do...it's just a job. 💞U Much respect and love... Rock on and stay heavy!! 🤘😉🤘 T Missing Jukka.....
This is a really great song, my second favorite in fact from the EFMB album. It is under-appreciated, and I wish they would perform it live. To the best of my knowledge they have only ever done an acoustic version of it live which, IMHO, does not do it justice.
