  • Reece Roussel had the best individual performance in Little League World Series at Williamsport in 2019. He went 17-23 (.739), set the all time hits record in LLWS history, and tied his teammate Marshall Louque for most doubles in LLWS history. His team, from River Ridge Louisiana, won the LLWS title over Curaçao. This video provided all of his big moments in the 2019 LLWS to a large audience of baseball fans, and it educated them to show just how well he performed at Williamsport.
    Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.
    If you’re looking for a place that can educate you with commentary on top of high quality edits, this is the place for you! I’ve covered Baseball (MLB, NCAA, LLWS), Football (NFL, NCAA), Basketball (NBA, NCAA), Hockey (NHL), Softball (NCAA), and much more!
    I make my videos on the HP Spectre x360. I use Adobe Premiere Rush to edit, which allows me to commentate and efficiently splice up clips in a high quality way.
    One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
    I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

      He makes it look like its easy to bat over .700 and ill tell you its not. Its actually kind of improbable. Doesnt matter what age they are because theee kids arent exactly your average 12 year olds playing here. What he did was really quite amazing.

      Idk if that's true, most of his hits are low liners. In fact, I think the new bats may even help him, because the barrel size is bigger. Sure, the old bats may have given him a few more homers, but they also might have taken away more hits when he doesn't hit the ball perfectly.

      @Crispy Toast sure that may be right in some instances but i’m showing how you go from saying hitting isn’t easy in the easiest tournaments of a lot of these kids lives to talking about a kid hitting nearly .750. some pitchers in the LLWS are decent and can throw upwards of 79 mph which from 43 feet isn’t hard but the reaction time has to be pretty good to hit it

      @@michaelsuh5457 Nothing special about his swing. He is a little big for his age that helps for 12U ball. He sees the ball well; good hand coordination. Stands way too close to the plate for advanced pitchers. I wish him luck. Probably a really great kid.

    If coaches actually field shifted they could accommodate him. But absolutely amazing batting, consistent, fights the count, stays in, and great attitude. I get the sense he is a quiet kid. Love to see this in the pros one day.

    • @winstonsmith11
      @winstonsmith11 4 роки тому +2

      Ok. So, assuming he was 17/23, batting .739, as the video states. 7 doubles, 1 hr. That's a total of 27 bases in 23 at bats. Slugging an absurd 1.174. Then add his batting average to that slugging percentage, and you get a 1.913 OPS. That's assuming he did not walk or get hbp. I'm not sure if he did or did not walk. Could be even higher. Truly ridiculous statistics.

    • @WheelsYT

    Gonna see this kid in the show one day!!!! What a professional approach at the plate!!!! The announcers say he looks like Bellinger, I see it, but I think his approach and his hands remind me more of Michael Brantley mixed with Ken Griffey Jr.
    Bellinger, like most modern hitters, tends to uppercut his swing sometimes to get some more elevation. This kid stays down on the ball so well and just hits lasers to every part of the field!!! He follows the old saying: “Keep your head down, keep your eye clear, and hit em’ where they ain’t.” Beyond impressive!!!

    The best part of this is part of a south Louisiana tradition, a cultural thing. Reece was there with his parents who watched him very politely and chivalrously decimate the opposition. He was having fun but Mom and Dad were in the stands watching their kid succeed - and in the process, they were going NUTS. This was a FAMILY outing for them - and from the look of it, EVERY family member was having a boisterous good time - Reece with more decorum since he was on the field. This is the TRUE culture of south Louisiana, where FAMILY is the center of your life.
