    I have to say...I'm 50yrs old. That was best advice and outlook on life that ive ever heard. This should be taught to every child before high school. Not the other garbage their being fed but something that will actually help them in all decisions. Started watching your channel because i have a 19 Scat but now i understand the " Motivator " aspect. Thx for what you do.

    What you said about people getting mad at you doing good really grabbed my attention. I experience this all the time, I don't understand why people get a job to be lazy but that's on them. I'm there to do what I do well, why do they get mad at me for it and keep attitudes with me? Well explained, and heard loud and clear, it's like you read my mind. Just like you said, sometimes it can even be managment doing the hating, and at that point you have to walk because they're going to purposely keep you down and promote other shit employees.

      I always loved when my coworkers would ask “why do you work so hard? This company doesn’t care about you..” or the ever popular “they don’t pay us enough to work as hard as you do”. I actually became somewhat of a black sheep among that crowd because of the effort I put in and the numbers I would hit.
      Fuck em! Lazy people hate seeing good workers thrive.

    I've gotta say OC is spot on. I'm only 25 and just recently found my calling in life - I tried mechanical engineering, supply chain logistics, seriously considered military, and worked as a mechanic all before I figured out what I really want to do with my life. There's a very high chance that you're not going to know what you want to do until, like OC said, you try some things and find out exactly what you DON'T want to do. When you figure out what your passion is, make a plan to get to a position where you can do it for a living and understand that that plan will probably entail doing something you don't want to do for a living in order to, like in my case, save up money and build up solid credit to get a student loan to go to school for what you really want to do. What's better than being successful? Being successful and inspiring those who aspire to be successful themselves. Great video man, I really love your channel!

    When I bought my hellcat years ago, I made sure when I bought it that I was financially sound enough that I knew if I lost income I'd still be able to afford the payment. That's my litmus test.

    I love the feeling of everyone at work "hating" me for always pushing to be the best. It fuels me. I go to do what I love, and I do it with passion and with a customer-oriented attitude. Just like I always taught my mentees when I was in the Marines: You CAN do anything you want, but you have to WANT it for yourself. It will not come to you. I've seen many of them grow to be more successful than myself and it's nothing short of the best feeling in the world..

      When people who settle for mediocrity see one of their peers or coworkers crushing it and going the extra two miles it scares them, because it makes them realize how little of their true potential they are tapping into. If you're afraid of stepping outside of your comfort zone, you're never going to reach the stars lol

    One of the first lessons I learned on UA-cam is that you have to be careful w/ the comments. There are some people who genuinely want to interact, but you'll have some people who just come to say negative stuff. I know you said respectfully disagree, but heads up that block button is something you should use if they get too crazy

    Thanks for the inspirational video To sum it up, instead of trying to identify what you love, find something you're good at, so that you can make a lot of money, WHICH will help you eventually to find what you love. Not any job will do, since it's always easier to make money in a job/career/profession that comes easy, that you have desposition for. The key question is not "What do I love?" but "What am I better at than other people?"

    Yes work to live, but while working, be sure it’s something that you’re enjoying. If you work to live with a job you find misery in and dread going in then that will affect your personal life. You can carry that bad attitude even after work. You spend a big amount of your life at work so be sure you do something you don’t dread, find enjoyment

    "Do you think I can...." Yes you can. Let me share the last year of my life. I had a 14 year career and made 100 grand per year. Basically made enough to support my family in California, but never really had anything nice for myself. I was arrested and charged with several felonies, Which were dropped, but it didn't matter because my employer fired me.Now I was 38 years old, unemployed, no insurance, and 2 kids to support. I had no idea how I was going to dig myself out of this situation. The 1st 6 months I didn't know what to do. Who is going to hire someone with fresh felony arrest, even if the charges were dropped ? I took the money I had left and started a business, with no business experience and no college education. This has been an unbelievable year. My business is doing over 10 million dollars, And my take home pay is well over a million dollars a year. I now make my former monthly salary every single day. I found this channel because now I can finally afford a nice car for myself and I have been looking. At 38 years old, I had accepted a very long time ago that I would never be rich. It never even crossed my mind. You never know what is going to happen in life, I am now on track to make gobs of money than I never thought possible. You have no idea what is in store for you and you really can do big things.

    Wow. Long story short 2012, i started a partnership in a concrete cutting business, (i am a qualified motor mechanic), got screwed over by my partner and left my then wife. Lost everything and sold what i had to avoid bankruptcy, (including a 68 Chevelle SS matching numbers....painful). A few years later an opportunity arose to work for an owner of a concrete cutting company with the idea to buy the company off him as he was getting older and had health issues. Currently in my 3rd year of working in this company. The deal is as soon as i am financially in the position to buy the company, (about 18 months away), i can do so. Recently had a good friend who is in the same industry ask me if i would consider him buying the company and me run it for a significant wage. I am not necessarily considering this as the whole plan is for me to have my own company and reap the rewards of my sacrifice and hard work. It sounds great as the wage would be significant but i ultimately would not own anything and the whole idea of what i have put in to this point has been a means to an end, owning my own company doing what i love, (most of the time). I'm in Australia and construction work here is extremely well paid. I know what i want to do but your thoughts would be appreciated.

    • @ocmotivator
      @ocmotivator  4 роки тому +1

      I’d stick with your plan or go 51% to you 49% to him partnership. Nothing wrong with two super smart people doubling efforts. But never be a minority shareholder. Too much risk. Either own the whole thing or own a majority share. And put together a strong business plan to grow the business by 25,50,100% over the next 3 years so you can sell it at a huge profit. Other wise too many people buy businesses and then relax now that their the owners and then the company slowly shrinks so it takes longer to recover their investment. Significant growth is the only option and upside when buying a company as I’m sure you already know. Good luck and go get it! 👍

    Hi, good video. One quick recommendation is to get a mount for the camera that doesn't rattle. I'm not sure if everyone can hear it but throughout the entire talking portion on the way to CarMax there is a constant rattle in the camera from it bouncing. Purely a constructive criticism on an otherwise great video.

    • @ocmotivator
      @ocmotivator  4 роки тому

      Ya. It wasn’t the mount. I just bought a brand new Sony A6600 and didn’t take off the strap clips off the sides yet. I was so ticked when I watched the video back. I know better. Was hoping no one noticed. Lol.

    I like to exercise sometimes it feels like that’s the only thing I’m good at when I was 20 I worked at a gym for 6 months thinking it was going to be sunshine and rainbows but I hated it the only thing that got me to go to work everyday was that I was able to close the gym and at 1 am in the morning I had an entire VIP gym at my disposal. It is a goal of mine to have my own private gym one day and for that short amount of time I got a glimpse of how it would feel.

    Hey B
    Was watching your Donuts; You need to Mat the accelerator and turn the wheel all the way to either side. You are getting to much traction, Hence the Tires Squealing so much.
    BTW; I would definitely like to tune in on SUNDAY’s ; And I’m almost ready to Retire. lol I need to invest in some of the new tech. To add $$$ for my Retirement. Also Take some old milk or detergent bottles full of water with you and wet down the street/concrete (wherever you are going to do Burnouts/Donuts)makes it a lot easier! Just some Tips.
    BTW My 2017 RT is a 5.7 and totally stock (because I am tired of working on my own cars after doing so all my life). It still turns heads and people always want to talk to me about it. Still looks new only 27k miles & I drive to work every day;only 22 miles round trip-Already on the second set of tires due to burnouts & donuts lol.
    I would like to get your email so I can tell you about the business that I am thinking about starting because of one of your videos. I don’t want anyone to steal my idea.
    Keep it in between the lines.
    Talk to ya later.

    One of the problems to is the parents that have coddled their kids and spoiled them rotten did them no favors...they didn't allow them the room for failure they have grown up in a society where no one is a looser and everyone gets a trophy....life doesn't work that way.......not everyone is going to be a millionaire...and I know some people that have made it and they failed alot more before they made it there....it was hard took years...and these are ppl that didn't go to college and the ones that did found out everything they got taught in collage no longer applied to what they wanted to do so now they are $200,000 in the hole and no real world experience and no one is going to hand you a$150,000 year job with no real world hands on experience... better to be taught on the job and their is nothing wrong with getting your hands dirty I went to trade school and alot of the ppl I went with have their own business now took 25 years to get there one has his own electrician company, another owns and runs his own auto body shop another owns his own Motorsports shop and is a 7 time pro motorcycle champion they aren't broke but they are happy and the major part of them coming up they struggled.there were times they only had enough to pay their employees that week...and OC is right work to live not the other way around... anyone can do anything... it's how bad you want it and are you willing to do whatever it takes to get there......I am not Rich I am comfortable...I could have a hellcat red eye......but their are things I need to out in place before I get it...and I will know when that time is it will show itself...but I have a project I need to finish before hand so patients is being exercised right now in the I want it now world we live in...love the channel and the positive additude and the honesty that needs to be told👍👌✌️

    Carmax is the worst. I traded a car there one time and I'll never do it again. It's not just your hellcat, they low ball everything because they're greedy pigs

    Lol you know car drops value 10k emidiatly after you drive of lot
    Worst investment is a car cause you'll never get back what you pay for. Best investment if you like controlled fun is a car cause well like a partner when you find the right one its always exilirating to go for a ride lol

      B C yep. I’ve owned almost 40 cars and I never see a single dollar as a loss. Same as the $10,000 on Disneyland annual passes for the family over the years, those memories were worth every single penny and I didn’t even get to keep a car in that situation. $10,000 a year on vacations with the fam and I come home with a new T-shirt and more priceless memories, but no car. We go to the movies 4 times a month and leave with nothing but less money and sometimes we don’t even like the movie. So in the grand scheme of things the car I get to enjoy every day and all I lost was $10k so far whereas all the other stuff I “lost” 100% of my investment. But I don’t regret any of them. People forget so fast all the money they “lose” on experiences and memories, but when they “lose” it on a car that made them happy every single day, they lament over the rapid and large depreciation rather than seeing that as simply the price of admission.
