Found out that the Incense will slow done effects too. Just have to work a bit faster. I can make the Tincture but also Incense. If you need too, the minimum is Strong Incense which is fairly easy to make. That's what I use just when farming Sulfur and save my Powerful Incense and tintures for later. I will be crafting some Chitin !
I agree, make the padding (use it in the gemslot of a voidbent set works really well) Don't waste all those resources on the armor. I think that was a dev oversight (we mentioned it in PTR feedback) Should be resistance armor and then adding the gems adds even more resistance. But not both doing the same exact thing, if that's the case, just make one or the other, not give us confusing options to try to figure out. Also at the outfitting station you can do light and medium chitin armors, only the forge has the heavy set. Still, just the padding makes more sense :) Great video. Your videos are always so straight forward and easy to understand. I really like the fact that you actually show o the map location, many content creators just breeze thru and never show you where. So its greatly appreciated.
It was rumored that incense also removes the affliction(?) "Increases resistance to all Afflictions by 50 for 30 minutes." ; If it is considered an affliction?
I just found this out the other day when I ran out of the tincture, I also found out that blight potions and tinctures work on the fire damage from the skellys in Brimstone (along with the DOT juice) I was clueless to that as well. Its not a crazy amount, but hey its something :)
could have made a clip of how effective the acid resistance set is compared to the first clip on the video when you died, so we get a better understanding of how valuable this set is.
@@BDLG. Actually you did show that. The two Padding boosted Resistance from 50 to 70 and the 2 x 15% made Resistance drop by 7 per second instead of 10. So you actually lasted twice as long in the Acid Pool (20 half-second ticks vs 10) before Resistance zero as if you didn't have the padding. Time to open a chest is 5 seconds so 10 total (2 padding) may be enough. The effect is exactly the same as using Powerful Incense (+50 Resistance); either way you have 10 seconds vs 5 in the Pool. BUT either way you need to out-heal the 6%/sec damage. Adding the other 3 padding will keep Resistance above zero for another 4x as long. So 5 padding gives you EIGHT times as long in the Pool vs no mitigation. BUT you still need to Heal because you still lose 6% Health per second. At Resistance zero, Health goes down 21% per half second so you don't have long at all to get out of the Pool and pop Acid Tincture. Immortal gives you extra seconds but really the issue is you don't want to be IN the Pool when Resistance drops to zero. Acid Tincture is not worth the cost because you can easily out-heal Acid Burn (when outside the Pool) and cheap incense would give the +20 Resistance for much longer.
I just gem slotted chitin padding in an old dex set I had and it gives pretty good survivability in the acid pools. Didnt see the need to craft an entire chitin set just for chest runs.
another stupid thing they put in the game to make it ridiculous, hard to get, or very expensive for people who's crafting skills aren't up to par or solo play and have no back up. This game.. A simple tincture would have been fine, and not a shit load of it to make 1 stupid bottle.

As far as I know it still does. I haven’t tested in a while though. I just have padding my gear and don’t worry about consumables.
