    My wife and I have a 2018 Expedition MAX. groceries don't roll out from trunk, it has ambient lighting inside with colors, engine is still 6 speed twin turbo, we purchased it almost 2 years ago, no major issues, just maintenance, rides great, lots of cargo for passengers and luggage, so I am not so convinced, just because it has a tailgate, and new dash justifies to trade in my 2018. We purchased ours with 37K miles, now has a little over 80K and runs great! Ford may be losing money pretty soon if they don't start selling more affordable vehicles.

      @@6788tappleton It is understandable that if you are unloading groceries in an inclined position items will roll out. Now if your groceries are tumbling down, I can only think your driveway up to your home is inclined and not leveled. My house is in top of a hill I have to drive upward about 60 feet high, however when I reach up to my garage it is leveled, no need to back in. You could use cardboard boxes and save yourself 100k plus on a new expedition. I may purchase this new 2025 when it is 2 years old. Hee hee.

    Sales is not the same as demand. All that we should be talking about is where demand is going. If the demand is still there for these vehicles then it is usually design, cost, or content. I think we know if it is one of those, what the likely problem is. Tommy's comment at 11:28 about screen is spot on. I actually think the lack of physical controls and the addition of screens is CHEAP not expensive. Ford Expedition owners average ownership is 10+ years. So owners love them. I have a 2016 that I have lifted, added new Bilstein's shocks, swapped rear springs to hold +800 lbs, towing mirrors, new IC, 5 star tune, 33" e load tires, and more. I love it. I've built a super duty Expedition. I don't think I'll get rid of it. I've even considered just replacing the engine and interior if they wear out. It is nice inside without being too nice so it wears and wipes down well too. A flat 7-8 foot from gate to seats inside. Very underrated vehicle.

    Owned a 2019 XLT new. 30k miles rear brakes were gone, 35k the shocks leaked all their fluid and failed, 45k CAM phasers failed and the engine sounded like a diesel. 54k the CDF drum in the transmission failed and was required a full replacement. Engine and transmission issues put it off the road for months. This car was so pooly engineered, and faulty. I will never own another Ford expedition. I used to own a Taurus, Freestyle and F150, they were great carss. Today these cars are poor quality. Same on you ford. I sold my 2019 expedition and bought a chevy van with the 6.6l v8. Hopefully it will be a better experience. Chevy has its own issues with lifters failing and such. Overall i just had a terrible experience with Ford and they lost a customer by not taking care of me. Too many issues

    The price of this vehicle simply reflects (as a national average) the reality that many people making good money still live beyond their means. If a family brings in $150,000 a year and spends $170,000 a year, it doesn’t matter how much you make, you’re going to feel like you’re behind financially.

    I love the 10.6" road clearance of this Expedition Tremor. Apparently the Platinum and another of the trims come with adjustable air ride suspension. What are the heights of the air ride suspension, base, 4H and 4L levels, do you know? I love the luxury 40/20/40 leather bench seats of the Platinum, but the road clearance of the Tremor. And if that Stealth package you mentioned means all black, I assume exterior only, can you get that on all the trims, the Tremor especially but Platinum too?

    I think moving from 6 trims to 4 was a good decision. It will make manufacturing more efficient and could also result in improved quality.
    I agree with Tommy about the wheels. I’d be happy with 18 inches.
    Column shift with current shift by wire is just a dial with a lever attached. It is all just a matter of preference.
    The additional cost is likely two things: 1) inflation, and 2) elimination of the bare bones base XL trim.

    A couple of things they broke in the update process are putting the drive mode switch in the same spot the headlight switch has occupied for ages. Steering wheel controls is the other. There was no need to move those. You may get used to them in time, but are you the only driver? Someone especially that owns another Ford product and seldom drives this may get confused. I got them to drop warranty to 4000 and tire and wheel to 900. I had a suburban 6.2 2020 had lifter tick then dealer put in new moor and burned the vehicle up to a crisp in test drive. Total loss. GM would not help me any I had to use my insurance. so I went to ford and bought said vehicle.

    As a family of 6, these suvs are just way too expensive for a big family to buy new. Not only do they have to buy a little bigger house which costs more now then add on these suvs costs something has to give. I would love the tremor version in about 5 years when it’s less than half the price of a new one.

      Unfortunately, probably Harris didn’t even take that class and we know that Waltz would say he was TEACHING high school economics but in reality he was only in the building on a different day of the week when economics was taught by someone else. He would later say he is just a knucklehead and misspoke.

    So a $6000 price increase bringing the base model entry level price to 61 and change. So using these numbers a decade from now we can expect, assuming similar price increases each year, of $120,000 for a base expedition? FFS. Do the same math on the Mavericks price increases since introduced and those will be at 50K in no time. NOT SUSTAINABLE.

    I’ve owned 6 Fords in the last decade. We’re getting ready to upgrade to something larger for our family of 5 and I’d love to got an Expedition but the twin turbo V6 just gets atrocious mpg- we had an ‘18 and it got 16 mpg. Would’ve been nice for new Expedition to go hybrid, though I just drive an F-150 hybrid 500 miles and averaged just 21-22…we’ll probably end up going for the diesel Chevy or GMC.

    With only 2:31 into the video I can assure you it’s way overpriced. For crying out loud overall new vehicle sales are down because of insane increases since Covid, interest rates and yet most if not all manufacturers increase prices on all new models. They should be lowering prices. How’s about trying that. Remove all the latest that tech that majority of buyers never use and drop them +20% and I bet they will sell more vehicles to compensate for these continued ridiculous price increases.

      These companies since covid had said their profit margins are better when they sell expensive vehicles with few quantities than sell an affordable one via high quantities.

    The Tremor always brought on special offroad equipment like a torsion front differential and upgraded suspension. This Tremor is purely assthetics, like the timberline was accused of having. This doesnt even have special front hooks or skid plate like the Explorer Timberline has. Well i guess the Tremor isnt that special anymore, and its just for looks

    • @texandy89
      @texandy89 Місяць тому

      @DarthNero You want to pay for a expensive vehicle or rather have something you can afford? So what if the Excursion is 20 years old? I bet you can find one in good shape for less than a expensive vehicle. Yes, I recommend buying a 20 year old vehicle who gives a flying F that's a lame and stupid idiotic comment.

      @texandy89 Місяць тому

      @DarthNero I'm talking for the people who don't think it should be way over priced that's the Navigator the Expedition should not be at Navigator prices. I'm speaking to those who don't want to pay for an expensive large SUV that is way too much tech. I myself if I had a family you damn right I would get an Excursion over the Expedition. I doubt that people today actually do want and need people today just buy shit because they want it not because they need.
