In this video of Civil Engineering Tutorial lectures you will learn about the #Difference between #Cylindrical and #Cube sample 28 days strength difference. also what is the difference between #C30 and #M30 grade concrete. Why the Strength of same mix for cubic is greater than that of Strength of Same mix of Cylindrical sample.

Very helpful and well explained. Been looking for hours on a definitive answer to this. Thank you

Good thanks
Cylindrical mould ki testing karne ke bad strength nikalne ke liye kitne ka devide karte h
thanks
Its good video. If the cylinder dimensions are 100 mm x 100 mm, the load distribution will be like in cube case. Still the cylindrical strength will be 80% of cube strength or not?
You are wrong.. how 100 mm dia cylinder has the same platen effect as 100 mm cube? Think deep. For 100 mm cylinder the platen effect is at a depth of 86.6 mm from both the top and bottom. So 100mm cube and 100 mm cylinder ain't same.
SORRY SIR. IN BRITISH STANDARD DENOTED "C" FOR CUBIC STRENGTH. IN EURO AND US STANDARD DENOTED " C" FOR CYLINDRICAL STRENGTH. WE STUDY ACCORDING TO BS 8110 .WE USE C FOR CUBIC STRENGTH. EXAMPLE 1:2:4 = M15 (CUBIC STRENGTH IN INDIA) BUT 1:2:4 = C20 (CUBIC STRENGTH IN BRITISH)
