There is no actual reading in the rebound hammer , Actually rebound hammer test results are + - 15 to 30 % fluctuate, So core test better than rebound hammer , And the strength of the core actually comes , Whereas the result of the rebound hammer test does not come actual.. So finally core cutter test better than rebound hammer test..
And plss explain how to measure thickness of various layers of road pavement.. how we will know at what time to stop core for each layer. For example if drlc layer is 200mm thick and above it 100mm pqc is there. Our core cutter length is 200mm and I want to measure drlc thickness whose bottom layer is 300mm below. How to measure?

Generally the strength of concrete is in cubicle shape, so the strength to comparison is done by converting cylindrical strength into cubicle shape, Already mention the formula in Is code..

@@visioncivil1143 Good morning dear , As per Sp24 - 1980 , yadi aapke pass graph table nahin hai to aap 100mm ki niche diameter ke sabhi core ko 1.08 ke correction factor se multiply karenge, lekin hamare pass already graph hai aur ham log as per IS code actual diameter of core hai & graph bhi available hai isliye actual correction factor nikalkar multiply karna.., aur yadi hamare pass graph & core ka actual diameter Nahin hota to 1.08 se multiply karte, ok dear very good 👍👍

The minimum core diameter is usually 100 mm but 75 mm and 50mm diameters may be used in special cases, Already core mould available in Quality lab..
We should do the layer wise test and the result is satisfactory after that allow the next layer..

Already we have fitted the area of core in the CTM machine. How is it calculated? It has been told about this.
