For general use 1 cement, 3 sand, 5 stone mixed dry and then as little water as possible to make the concrete loose enough to place. For specialty uses consult an engineer.
I've watched a few of your videos, and I've gained a lot of knowledge about construction just by listening to you. You make a great instructor sir. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
On certain Islands Sand is no more allowed. So, Rocksand is used instead. So, when Sand is replaced by Rocksand, will the Rocksand quantity different in the mix ? Thank you.
If we use less grade of concrete for slab and beams, the chances of failure will be high. Because slab and beams are tensile members and concrete is weak in tension. So the minimum grade concrete for slabs and beams are M20 and M25 respectively.
You said ‘Concrete grade of foundations & columns will be more than slabs and beams’ - For a G+3 residence if you have slabs/beams with M20 grade and columns with M25 grade with a foundation PCC bed of M7.5 grade, does it make sense? I see that the foundation PCC bed has this grade as a standard. Isn’t M7.5 less strength compared to M20 or M25? I believe the foundation had M20 RMC poured in. Can you clarify?
Sir please give me a answer the question is column grade beam grade slab grade and footing grade for use in construction site please give me a answer Sir
Very useful video. Sir, please explain grade and composition of concrete used for walls as well as pillars and slab. I want to build an independent house with concrete wall (pouring of concrete at a time for pillars, walls and slab after reinforcing with steel and centring). I want to build stilt plus four floors house in 200 sq.meters plot.
Sir you explained very general in nature. In technically speaking what based we should recommend the grade of concrete. Any exact methodology to calculate the Grade of concrete for different type of building
Thanks a lot for the basics of concrete. How does concrete strength varies depends on cement grade (43 / 53 / 63)? I'm an electrical / electronics engineer. But love to understand the Civil engineering.
Sir I can not completely answer your question but 43 and 53 grades OPC are only used nowadays whereas 33 is obsolete. And sorry 63 grade is not available its 33,43&53 grades only. And use higher the grade higher the strength. These are the strength of cement and not related to concrete. 33grade cement means its strength is 33 n/mm2. As per my experience important structures are built using 53 grade whereas ordinary cement available in market are of 43 grade mostly
For so called professionals in the construction industry, this is a basic for them. which they are aware of it. This is for the beginners or who are interested in cement & concrete.
What does the mix proportion actually means?? As for example 1:2:4 Where 1 part is of cement 2 is for sand and 4 is for aggregate. My question is Does 1 part of cement means 1 bag of cement or 1 kg of cement?? And like wise for sand and aggregate.. Please anyone who is reading the comments please do clarify my doubts..
Can anyone tell by there experiences ki what is minimum grade for column , slab, beam and column footing which we are using in nowa days Constrution site 😊
Slab on roof and horizontal beams which grade mix(m20 or m25 grade will be more beneficial.building is without coloum.pl advice from each angle which grade mix will be better?
Thankyou for Animated video it makes us better to understand and please Make a video on Design mix conc and Which grades should be used in foundation, slab, column etc

good explanations and animation. My only suggestion is that I would have called slabs and beams as "flexural" members instead of tension members.
what a beautiful video, thanks for giving us some insight on things we have lived in see and touch every day of our life.
super ★★★★★

Thank you Sir so much for your valuable explanation and crystal clear concept conveyance. It really cleared my concept and understanding !!! 🙏💐🙏🍫🍫🍫
It would be beneficial for us
(Common people) ,if you discribe
the different grades of cement used for 1.footing 2. Caulamns
3.Roof and brick work .
Oh! By common use (houses) the rank of concrete in foundation, columns, and beams is f'c= 210-250 kg/cm2, slabs, and roofs -+ f'c= 150kg/cm2
Dear Sir,
I would like to requests you, Please provide the information on the subject of waterproofing, like the terrace, toilet area, tank, ect.
Short and to the point. Very well explained and easy to understand. Thanks
Thanks for lecture on mix. I want you to give me the different Concrete grade. like grade c5, 7.5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30

You've mentioned beam and slab are tensile member but I think they are flexural member. Can you give some explanation over here sir?
Tq sir we want more information....
Ur explaning better than the class room ....
Sir which grade of concrete, is best for ,,,residential house,,,, in footing, column, slab ,,, ,( m10,m15,or m20,,)🤔🤔🤔please give some idea
Please share link of design mix video

In grade of concrete table, why grade 25 without water?
Thanks for this quick and short video..unlike those long as videos which are not practical to sit and learn these days
If i have 3000 psi and i want to figure out how many pounds of pressure would it take before that bricks fails. How would I calculate that?
Soo Helpful!! Thanks a lot! Love this channel
Please the quantity of water for M 25 is missing.
How to design the Mix for M30 and above .
Is there any way to memorize these mix ratios .
Thanks .
Doubt mix proportion : cement/sand/aggregate. cement is taken as 50 kg bag and other sand & aggregates ?? How much not mentioned..?
Sir, which Grade of Concrete is to used in construction of dummy column 3feet. LOw grade M7.5 or M15.
If you are putting 1cemet 2sand and 3stones for a house foundation what will be the strength of the concrete??
Beams are not only tensile but they are flexural members..thanks
But sir u didn't tell for which type of work , what should be grade of concrete? Who decides it?
Pretty blown away. Impressive depth! Thanks!
Sir please give me a answer the question is column grade beam grade slab grade and footing grade for use in construction site please give me a answer Sir
This guys Indian accents so strong and hilarious. Cool videos though 😊😊

M25 water qty?
Thanks ,very much informative
Mr. U got to be one of the best Engineers out there my friend explaining these things keep incoming man thank you
99% by the 28th day? No fucking way.
What can be the grade for slab and beam? At the same time for column and foundation?
Nice idol nauna nkung bumisita sa bahay Mu nanonood ikaw na bhala mgbalik pasyal krin sa bahay ko stay connected godbless 👍
Thank you for your teaching sir.
Their are several other elements added as well.
thank you so much great video.
What is the grade fpr slabs and columns vs beams
