That's a really good idea. It would give fire wyverns, ember crystal wyverns and magmasaurs another function too.

It would have been cool if they added chain lightning arrow to the tekbow specifically. Hit your targets to mark them for a short period and then hit the melee button to fire a chain lightning electric bolt that has a similar effect to the cndaria stun or shadowmane dash attack.
Would be sick but overpowered for pvp so wildcard would never do that
Double tap R quickly to switch arrow projectile mode and simply tap R like you would if you wanted to reload to switch arrow types without need for the radial menu
The bow won't even load an arrow for me what do I do then?
Sounds like you haven't unlocked the engram for it yet. Like all tek items, I'm pretty sure you need to defeat the correct boss to unlock the tekgram

Hopefully there’s awesome blueprints for this on extinction. An ascendant tek bow would be awesome.
You can get tek bow bps in genesis 2 drops
Yup we got a 286 asc bp in gen 2
Stronger than a Longneck with regular Tranq Darts, but still weaker than a Longneck with Shocking Tranq Darts.
I got an ascendant one the first day the map came out and it does thousands of damage with metal arrows. The tranq arrows do like 400 and thousands of torpor! It’s so op on PvP
You don't have to hold down R you can tap it to cycle ammo types, and double tap it to change between projectile and instant hit.
He did that later in the video.
Imma use tek bow for taming now since I live on genesis1 and shards are easy to get :)

Steve can you make a best topor dinos and strategy to knockout dinos underwater, taking my mantis to tame mosas doesn't sound like a good time
Can you test how good the tek bow fire arrows and the jar of pitch are at taming phoenix's at some point?

Hey have you had a problem equipping your tek bow? I got one in a drop but for whatever reason it won't let me equip it. I have it on my hotbar but when I select it nothing happens..
Hi, does it scale well with quality? Does it scale with melee dmg?
longneck w/Shocking tranq dart still does more torpor like 260ish then tek bow's tranq (180--190) mode I did a test a few days ago on a tamed dino and looked at torpor it recieved shooting it in the same spot. So it may have been changed I still agree it is the best all-around taming weapon but refined tranqs still have their use on dinos with very high torpor (To make refined tranqs you add a bit of metal and some biotoxin(jellyfish or gassy aberation mushrooms) to the dart which lasts for so long before spoiling into a regular tranq dart) as always I love your content, always learnin' something new.

Awesome video man. Quick question though. Could you take and use the fishing cage to tame some piranha and then set them on wonder for a pvp map and have them eat the people trying to get into an area? Just a random thought

for some reason I cant cycle the arrow type by tapping R, it was literally working yesterday

You should do tek bow structure test see how effective metal and explosive arrows are in pvp.
I spawned mine in and it doesn't work like I have it equipped in my hotbar but it won't let me use it

Hey they allow Basilisks to be tamed with Voidwrym eggs now, but is there a way to fix the bug where they just don't eat?

Awesome video, I noticed that the tranq arrow doesnt damage that much, like a 298Cbow.. when I tame rexes with that Cbow they always end up pretty bloody

Are these numbers based on primitive bow or ascended? If primitive then having ascended would maybe cut the time for knocking out? Still new here lol

As always you never disappointed with the details Nooblets. In my humble opinion I still prefer the long neck and the crossbow over that bow (haven't used it on gen2 yet despite having 2 of those).

Ok, so this Bow uses 10+ elements to drop a Rex, it's better to just use Tranq Darts, at least it's materials are cheaper.
Ok, if you get a 200% Minning Drill and go to Element Shards Asteroids, in 1 hour you can farm about 1k Elements in Official Rates, but even so Element Shard Asteroids rotation are a bit rare, also you will need to farm with many other players farming in the same place, reducing the number of spots.
Again, Tek Bow are a little expensive to craft, use 10+ Elements to KO a high level creature and you need a high level to unlock it's engram, so just stay with your Ascendant Rifle and spam Tranq Darts (or Shocking Darts if you have good water tames to farm BioToxin) and be happy.

Fantastic video once again man. Im curious on the time different between the tek bow and shocking traq darts. I believe they double the torpor so I guess maybe cut the time in half for the rifle?

When you could use this thing without engrams at the beginning, my tribe just BURNED down any giga in sight. For real, every ground creature was no match for you anymore. The damage you can deal with that bow is fucking insane. And every time I saw sum nice looking Rex or giga, I just took it. It's like a joke, there's nothing this thing can't do. The speed it deals torpor is ridiculous.
But yeah, outside of genesis 2 or maybe extinction, you would barely get enough element shards for it.

You get drops for them but can't use them until u unlock the engram
Need to be lvl 116 to use get it from drops particularly cyan and purple drops

oh there is a fix for it. -useallavailablecores -nomansky -lowmemory -novsync -high use these as launch options to launch your ark and it will be fixed.

the tek bow seems to be very ineffecient in terms of output and cost
because element shards are so easy on gen 2, the ammo cost is not an issue. You get rediculous shards if you take a low lvl stryder out on purple day. I kinda of wish he had shown a better quality tek bow in comparison to the base primitive. You can get them in drops and they are crazy powerful
This is very underwhelming, and very expensive ammo.
I could see a very strong blueprint being interesting, but certainly not the engram for primitive.
I have non-tek ranged weapon BP's which are drastically better than this.
Shotgun would do more dps, or a sniper rifle, or an AR. Longneck with shocking darts would KO the rex faster too, and it's torpor timing & long reload eliminates the risk of a late hit.
I could see these bows being decent in the water, but frankly I use the reload time of crossbow to kite sea creatures anyway.
And that explosive arrow... 30 element worth of arrows to kill a wild rex???
Looks like I'd want at least mastercraft to consider using it over other weapons I have BP's for.
