I love action movies, so I’m very much willing to give this project a fair chance. Ana de Armes is a great actress, so I’m confident that she’ll deliver a solid action lead performance. Generally speaking, I’m hoping this John Wick universe can stand on its own two feet without Keanu Reeves as John Wick front and center. We shall see when more John Wick projects release.
I’m 100% sold for this film, I’m a massive John Wick fan and I hope this is worth the wait.
looks great. i’m glad the action reshoots were done. story looks solid, and the (seemingly the new additions) action scenes look like they are on par with the series.
just disappointing how so many of the comments on the trailer are saying it’s “woke” literally just because it stars a woman in an action film.
It is unfortunate. The Renaissance of great female MC’s is here but the effects of Rey Skywalker and company still linger like scars 😭
I'm wondering what these people think about films with Moon Lee & Cynthia Khan as leads.

Looks really cool! I was thinking I might not have much to look forward to next year in terms of movies, but the trailer for this and Mickey 17 is hyping me up 🔥 I’ll buy anything from the John Wick franchise (tho I’ve yet to watch The Continental 😅)
On the topic of what you kind of said on 2025 movies, I was looking at multiple release slates yesterday and it was a little bit unfortunate how few movies on there I’m really excited about. That’s not to say there can’t be plenty of surprises, but another Smurfs revival and a third Now You See Me film make me more pessimistic than optimistic about the quality of a lot of movies.
@@MichaelTomsyck yup. So much of it is just franchises I either never cared about enough to warrant a sequel or have lost touch with (I’m grateful no one has come on here yet asking what about Thunderbolts or saying don’t forget Captain America!)

The trailer has got me even more excited. There is still a part of me that is worried, but I'm confident it will be good!
Chad Stahelski reshot most of the movie so I would say it is more of his movie than Wisemans, hoping its really good!

Not sure why they'd let anyone but Chad make a John Wick movie. It's just not one without his eye.

@@lockekappa500 I agree, but apparently Stahelski has complete creative control over the cane spinoff movie, im guessing this is in response to people not liking the continental and the first draft of ballerina being so bad they had to do a complete overhaul
@@termi3370 Chad Stahelski is the Producer from this Movie not the Director. The Director is: Len Wiseman.
What the Black Widow film should've been like.
The action in black widow was still good
The only reason that movie was made was because Wonder Woman was such a hit and Marvel had to throw that movie together to ride that train.
They did the reshoots cause Chad stehelski wanted to include a lot more action scenes
Reeves delivered that line better than anything he said in Chapter 4.
Trailer looks good, though I'm skeptical without Stahelski.
I think I read it takes place between 3 and 4.
I’ll need to check and see what else is coming out next year,but so far this might be my number one most anticipated so far.
I still gotta watch my most anticipated this year.

The Continental is more of a story telling rather than an action movie. While slower, there is an action payoff at the end of the show.
I really liked this trailer and I am excited to watch a new John wick movie!

I absolutely love the John Wick films!
Without a doubt the best action franchise of modern times.
However, I am starting to get a little bummed out with these unnecessary spinoffs.
I’ve said it before and I will keep on saying it: not every character needs their own film!
Not every character must have a spinoff.
First the Continental series and now this, it’s starting to feel like the studio is merely milking the John Wick IP at this point.
But I thought this trailer was surprisingly good!
I like Ana de Armas and I think she is great when it comes to action roles.
However, I shall remain skeptical on the necessity of this project.
i really liked the trailer, i like ana, and of course RIP to lance reddick. My heart sank when you said len wiseman directed it. He is a 100% fucking hack, who has no good movies,and directed the WORST die hard movie and the truly dogshit total recall remake, now it has me worried
The Continental tv series is actually really good. And has some good John Wick easter eggs. And if you really pay attention it seems like 2 of the main characters could be John Wick's parents. The action is also good, especially for a tv series. It's only 3 hour long episodes. You should really give it more of a chance.

Just FYI its still the same stunt team as John Wick. Still 87-11. The AD is probably the one who handles the action scenes.

Great to see that they play on the fact that women just arent belivable throwing fully grown men around with ease, that they actually have to fight dirty to survive. This is the opposite of woke, this is actually done right! It looks great!
The action looks rlly solid that’s not what I’m concerned about. I would like for this new character to stand alone from John Wick cause there’s no point to watching this movie if they are just trying to bring attention to the other John Wick movies the entire time. But besides that I’m super excited for it
Donnie Yen is also having his own spin off. My guess is that they are introducing these new characters in time for the John Wick 5. Where all three are going to team up to take down the high table.

Hot Take: John Wick is a very overrated franchise, even on an action level. It feels like the action is in an awkward spot between not being realistic and not being chaotic or destructive as I want it to be. John Woo classic films have lots of practical explosions and debris (like a whole other level of it) and Michael Mann films have gritty realistic gunfire. John Wick doesn’t really have either of that, it feels and looks artificial. John Wick is like the poor man’s Hollywood mainstream version of the Asian action cinema that I love.
I could watch Sean watch a whole movie for how unnecessarily emotive he is, it's honestly the only reason I watch these trailer reactions
Disagree about Len Wiseman. Live Free or Die Hard and Total Recall both had amazing action set pieces. I'm sure in no small part because Chad Stahelski worked on some of them.
But man, I think his Die Hard movie really works and his Total Recall (particularly the director's cut) is way cooler and way better than Verhoeven's kitschy gaudy camp.

@Geronimo_Jehoshaphat Agreed. I wasn't a big fan of the remake of Total Recall or the 4th Die Hard, but the action set pieces in both were great! Len Wiseman can shoot action. There probably just wasn't enough before the reshoots.
I love Ana de Armas, no question about that, but she has a very kind face for this movie. I advise everyone to remember, just for a second, Halle Berry’s angry and aggressive face when that guy shot the dog and she was fighting with John. Can you remember that action till the end? Well, now watch Ana’s pretty face and action. I do not make early decisions and opinions; maybe they will release a second part or the story of Ballerina, and little by little, they will build the character and action around that character. Let’s wait and see what will happen
Can you say the prequel to John Wick is John Cusack's Grosse Point Blank. Can that film be from the world of John Wick too. Considering that Anna did great in the last James Bond film, she's going to do well in this film.

I wasn’t too sure if this would be up my alley because I wasn’t sure if John himself would be in it, but my suspicions actually were de confirmed that he may not be as it must have been confirmed that he was but, maybe I didn’t catch the news that he was or something.
Chad might be a top 5 working director right now, john wick chapter 4 might just be the best action movie ever made, ive never seen a movie where u go "every side character could have their own movie and id 100% watch it"
It looks like it will be a great movie! I was scared at first that it couldn't live up to the rest of the franchise so far. But it looks like it can match those films when it comes to the action and storytelling. Plus, it's Ana De Armas, who is an actress I really like.
Give the continental finale a shot. Its actually quite a decent Winston backstory plus you might miss something if you do decide to watch Ballerina

Would love to have one more Wick movie with him as the lead. I’d prefer they leave 4 as it suggests at the end. That being said, give us a prequel of the impossible task and how he got out.
Ive been watching "reaction" videos on this all day and not one (high pitched voice) "toe pick" joke with the death by ice skate scene. Soooo disappointed
I honestly think the trailer was awesome it's has the same vibe like the first John wick, and the connection to the world of John wick with a lot of volent fight scene. the coins the continental
History has shown spin off of these kind never work out, let see what Ana do, John wick spin off TV show was absolute disaster, hope this turn out better

I thought Ana de Armas was really good and believable in the action romcom "Ghosted" with Chris Evans. It was a fun enough film and makes me think she could be really good in a female role within the John wick universe.
Love seeing this from these badass women. Sigourney Weaver, Emily blunt, Charlize Theron. Very believable badass women in these action roles.
Fast X fight scene with Charlize and Michelle Rodriguez was awesome!!

I don’t know… I rather Ana De Armas play Paloma in 007 / Bond No Time To Die than be a character in John Wick world. But it is too early to tell.
Part of what made the John Wick movies good is the reluctant character and loss/grief and world building of the assassin’s world. It is all still possible, but can’t tell from the trailer…
But so far, not excited…
I really hope they play it a little bit like john being a mentor figure (just for a little bit), to put the dots on the i when it comes to her training. For john it feels like a daughter he never had with his wife.

Sorry, but even in a movie, you need some realism to get on board with what is going on on screen. A woman in that world would be dead less that one minute in a fight, armed or not.
John Wick 4 was the weakest by far and they should have stopped after first three (very) good ones; that franchise is dead for me.
