Many might not even be alive by now and thats just so sad they wont be able to experience remakes of their old games Heck even games like bdsp got high sales just cause of nostalgia No offense
Been 13 years since the release of HG/SS, the music still hits home. Much simpler times, when I would just come home from school and play video games all day.
@@genix5700 It is a tad early in progression for the save battery to die, but it’s entirely possible. My Crystal save battery died right around my return to Olivine City (after going to Cianwood for the medicine and stuff), getting stuck on Jasmine’s Steelix while having no fire types was the last thing I did (and I even had a Ditto).
@@brainsmusic6119 well not on this song, but I’m finally beginning to be able to play a couple songs with two hands, and am generally comfortable with the keys now. I’m gonna start trying to learn chords soon!
This is one of the best arrangements Game Freak have ever put out in a remake. I wish half the fanbase hadn't reacted with vitriol towards HGSS's arrangements, because there's some real creative gems here that we haven't heard anything close to since.
me and my step brother at the time both had different copies of the game. I had SS and he had HG. I can barely remember anything from that young, but i can vividly remember me and him playing together every single day. we would spend all day exploring the region like there were hundreds of secrets to explore. I remember beating lance with the worst team possible after who knows how many tries. The amount of dopamine that flooded my young brain was something that i will still get placebo effect from to this day. after that summer my dad and his mom got a divorce and i never got to see him again. i cherish these memories and the soundtrack to this game makes me so nostalgic i cry.
My friend got this on windows media player and one day we just sat around listening to this and playing pokemon while it was raining. Good times good times.
This makes me feel like standing on the edge of a cliff, a breeze flowing around me, and smiling, remembering all of the good I did for the small group of people I know and leaning backwards and falling for the few moments that would be the last of my life. As I type this I struggle with internal conflicts, but hope I come back to this comment a stronger person for myself and my friends.
I give my sincerest wishes that you have found and maybe even became who you want to be, i hope you can have your dreams come true and live as happy and wonderful life as possible. Remember, and feel...
The instruments are different the rest of the game but is just like Black and White... clearly this was an experimental piece that laid the framework for Gen 5's music
i never got to experience this game until a few months ago. i grew up playing pokémon, but this game has been a journey for me and i think its the game ive enjoyed the most out of the entire franchise, im grateful to have shared this experience with all of you
I have never played this game, and not played a Pokemon game in over 10 years. But something about this.. just hits. It feels like you lost something, and you have no idea what you lost. You just end up with this emptiness inside of you. A childhood you took for granted, all the friendships that grew apart, all of the memories you could've made if you didn't just lie down on your bed all day.
Reminds me when I first fell in love... It didn't ended well, but this reminds me like the "good" part of it... the happy moments we shared together , when everything was perfect... I guess that the fact that she plays piano helps bringing those memories while listen to this
Frack. The nostalgia is WAY too strong. Pokemon Gold was the first game in the series I played liberally. So naturally when these two rolled around. Hoo boy.
I just realized that HG/SS was released at my birthday. It's a nostalgia repacked in a new engine maybe that's why when I got to this park for the first time, I cried happily...
Probably the most audio appealing, and amazing music design in the game!!! This is my 2nd most favorite soundtrack in the game.......i just love it. It's simple, beautiful and carefree. Brings back sooo much warm memories
I think that this is one of the few songs that parallels or even succeeds the original songs, And for one of the best, most original songs of Silver/Gold, that says a hell of a lot.
1 person remembered a deep feeling that they had for another and disliked it because it hurt them to bring back old, loving memories. D: Don't worry dude, I feel your pain.
I can imagine a 90s kid first playing Gold/Silver with their low quality 8-bit sounds and then hearing this track in the remakes 10 years later, how emotional and nostalgic could it be for them. I'm a Gen-5er so can't relate myself, hope that many agree.
After I beat red I just took my team one by one on a stroll at the park. Who knew a digital monster catching game would lead to memories and something so… touching emotionally?
Heartgold was my first pokemon game, unfortunately I couldn’t finish it back then (I kept dying against Red) Now i decided to replay the game because its so good
@iloveclubpenguincp Yeah. The reason the Game Boy didn't have the same graphical advances as the 8-bit NES (or the GBA as the 16-bit SNES) is because at the time they were made, the technology available for the screens was limited, so they couldn't display the same amount of colors.
Man it’s crazy looking through the comments and seeing how old they are.. Pokémon really has touched the hearts and souls of so many people..
Your comment totally hits the heart gold and soul silver
Many might not even be alive by now and thats just so sad they wont be able to experience remakes of their old games

the series is from 1996 are you surprised 💀
Well said!
@ESDigital buy an actual dpplat cart and play(or emulate)
there will come a time when this is what people remember 10 years from now. the nostalgia of fans wont fade but simply pass into another game.
Been 13 years since the release of HG/SS, the music still hits home. Much simpler times, when I would just come home from school and play video games all day.

Shit
The National Park was the last place I saved in Pokemon Silver before the cart's battery died.
This song brings back so many memories.
Damn sorry to hear that

Unfortunately a lot of HGSS’s tracks fail to truly reimagine GSC’s, causing them to feel modernized rather than adapted.
@@SmoothTurtle840 this game should have been on GBA. And DS should have been Hoenn Remake. Only remake I love is FireRed and LeafGreen

this is truley the most beautiful music nintendo has ever made, especially the begining

When i fist played soulsilver, i took walks with the pokemon that i used in the original, probably one of the best moments in soulsilver
