I am very impressed with your craftsmanship. My mother lives very close to where Sam Maloof’s house was moved to. His home is a museum now. I grew up in the same house my mom lives in now. Sam Maloof was and continues to be a big deal. I’m happy to see he has inspired so many around the world. I love that you formed the seat in the same way and took notice of the degrees of the seat. I know he did. Albeit you used a laser and I think he’d give an amused chuckle about that.
Hi 👋, That was a great sense of achievement, last year, I purchased a set of drawings and a DVD, On how to make this chair, and I’m hoping at some point next year, 2024, to attempt to make one or a pair, even, I have a big challenge before doing so, I have to lay 6 m³ of concrete and finish off doing the roof and doors on my workshop, I wish you all a happy New Year and a success for the future, Phil from the moulin France,
You have embraced a very good part of the Master's conception. For your very young years you two lads are indeed very fine young craftsmen. Everything, from the layout onwards was done with excellent organising and logic. The final esprit of the rocking chair was very pleasing to the eye. Maybe next time do a little more handwork to make it feel more caressed by the human hand than the machine. The only thing that shocks me is using screws in the joints instead of tenons. Maybe a bit easier for future restoration, but a bit shocking for a cabinet maker like me. The end result is absolutely stupendous. Full marks for your precision and fine finish. Greetings from France
Aloha, I have been watching your outstanding playlist on making an “Inspired Sam Maloof Rocking Chair”. Is there a possibility of purchasing the patterns you are using so I can make my own templates to make the rocking chair? Your templates are the best that I have seen as I research how to build the rocker. THANK YOU, for taking the time to make and share these videos, with English subtitles, as they are very helpful!!!
Give me a workshop like that with all those wonderful tools at hand and........................! Nah! I could never match the skill and workmanship. Superb piece of work and beautiful result.
Hey man, I have watched all your videos on this chair and your skill and talent is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for sharing the information and knowledge that you have, its most definitely an inspiration.
Well done, Young Man. A work of art. Some nice tools, countless ours of craftsmanship spent delivering fine results. I am working on 2 projects to help me learn the Maloof joints, then I will build my 1st rocker. I will refer to your video often.
bi-lim woodworks is there a way to obtain the cad file with the templates to allow me to start the process or is it possible for you to zoom in to show dimensions?

Very interesting build. Congratulations on a wonderful piece. An American woodworking, Scott Morrison, has a series of DVDs on how to build a Maloof inspired rocker. What I like about your build is the use of hand tools rather than power shaping with all the enormous amounts of dust. Maloof's shop estimated that they spent 190 hours on a rocker build. What was your experience?
Hello, Laurence. Thanks for your interest in my work. I'm instructing members of Maloof's rocking chairs in a 3-month course (2 days a week). It seems to be about 200 hours.
I think Sam would be proud of that chair. Nice job.

I was watching Sam's interview and realized that
and was impressed by his passion and warmth for woodworking.

Good morning 🌅, very nice chair, well done, From France.
Stunning work, very elegant, beautifully executed and finished.
Excellent craftsmanship. I've seen a lot of Maloof copies and most of them are not shaped enough, they are too thick and blocky. Well done!
I watched a lot of videos and photos to understand the artistry of the original. This is my production point. thanks.
I got the tools to do this but not in a million years that I got the knowledge. Utterly mesmerizing!
Sam would be proud. You are a skilled craftsman. Great job.

Wow absolutely stunning work! Love it!
Thank you! :)
Good work. How long you do this?
저걸 아까워서 어떻게 쓰지...
That is so beautiful. A craftsman at work. Do you sell the patterns?
Besutiful!
Do you sell your plans?
I do not sell it because it is a drawing made by interpreting Maloof's work at my discretion.
