You know I’m bewildered and a little impressed how the Movie DS games kept getting worse and worse with each instalment, they had the perfect template with the first game why didn’t they follow up on it? Well thankfully WFC DS and Prime DS were good though. And at least the music in all the instalments were stellar.
And 2007 movie game? It was super good
imo all of vicarious visions' TF DS output was pretty consistently good, even if you can argue ROTF is a downgrade from 07, it was still fun and retained similar gameplay
idk what happened with DOTM tho, they could've easily got vicarious back
Yikes! Actually, I vividly remember loving the DS game based on the first movie, which led to disappointment when I played the RotF game, so much so that i actually returned it. Luckily, the WFC DS game was also quite good(Not as good as the home console version, but still better than I would have thought like the first game), but then this one was more in line with the RotF game. I don't know what happened.
ROTF is probably the most polarising. Half love it, half hate it.
@@DrLockdown can confirm I love RotF DS, played the shit out of both versions, but didn't played the movie 1 DS games until years later so who knows
Problem with the DS DOTM game is that is doesn’t have an open world or a selection of weapons to choose from like in the previous games, the gunplay is just boring since we only have a chain gun, the melee was reduced to just one single animation, and I feel like the vehicle modes sucked.
@@DrLockdownMiss the open world aspect in the ROTF game. Idk, scanning just 3 vehicles seemed a bit off to me, and having only a linear storyline without an open world made the game kinda boring. The story itself was great though no doubt, but there was something abt the first game that made it special
Man the first game in the series was such a banger. I absolutely loved the Decepticon version, especially with Keith David voicing Barricade. And then I bought the ROTF game and everything had went to shit.
I remember loving the original DS game. And when I was 12 I used most of my Christmas money to get Dark of the Moon on the DS, thinking it was going to be just as good as the first one, boy was I disappointed.
The other DS games I've played were pretty good. This kinda threw me a curveball

I have no idea why they couldn’t have just built off what the first game did. The first game was AMAZING and one of my favorite DS games. Sad to see how the quality went down for the movie games.

The fact that a game couldn't handle as simple a task as....defeating an enemy. That's some impressively flimsy game design.

Megatron's tank form in that version is hella OP. Too bad it never made the game any better

I actually had this as a kid, and even then I could tell something about it was off.
I remember feeling the DotM DS games were boring, even for DS port standards, but this is new for me 😅

Some of the transformers games for the ds had some similar issues I found, like one in wfc where you can get skywarp’s character icon glitched to be a black and purple jazz with yellow eyes. But did the game pop out when you were playing it?, if I recall similar things happen when the game comes out while still being played

Having played the WfC DS game for literal years as a kid (and even again recently), I'm thankful I never got this glitch because that would've been spooky lol.
I even used a lot of Action Reply stuff and kinda bugged out my profile but nothing like that!

Wierd... i played this game on mobile Drastic emulator, and the game worked fine.
But, honestly... i regret to play it. This is literally the only Transformers ds game, that i DON'T like. Even ROTF was more enjoyable.
