And roughly 100% of the audience had purchased their tickets while Anette was still the lead singer because Wacken goes sold out nearly immediately every year after tickets become available.
Although this was Floors first time singing with Nightwishin in europe she wasn't unknown to european audience, but one thing thats certain, Floor is Nightwishes last singer.
Nightwish did more than 10 gigs with Floor in Europe before Waken. Headlining several major festivals. But I do understand that the myth of Floor's introduction to Europeans is a charming story. But not true.
fyi, Scene Nation was the bands own production company at the time of this tour/show. This is the beginning of the concert DVD they produced for this concert. The director also has done lots of work with the band over the years, including concert videos, documentaries and music videos.
You commented that it doesn't matter who the singer is, which I thought was very rude as you basically meant that any of the singers would do! I would not be watching Nightwish if Floor wasn't the main singer with them. No disrespect to the previous 2 singers, but I have followed Floor from the very beginning of her career and, for me, she is the best singer I have ever heard in my 74 years on this planet. I have seen Tina Turner, Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, and many other great singers live, and they were all great , but, to me, Floor Jansen is the greatest of them all.
