Arrangement of "Hide, Hide Away" from Final Fantasy XVI.
Composed by Takafumi Imamura, arranged by Sipi Ovaska.
This track plays in The Hideaway, and contains Cid's leitmotif which is reused on multiple other tracks. A constant thumping heartbeat-like percussion drives the track forward, opening with a solo guitar playing Cid's theme, followed by strings and finally a flute. Aside from the flute, this track is just percussion, guitars and strings, most likely to give it the homely and down-to-earth feeling of the Hideaway.
I was originally hesitant to arrange this track as I don't have a possibility to record live guitars currently, and I wasn't sure if I could do justice to the intimate sound of the original with programmed instruments. After some fiddling I did manage to get the guitar parts to sound passable. I assume the percussion was recorded live as well, so I didn't try to get the tone and instrumentation perfect, just aim for a similar general feeling.
