Kevin: Welcome aboard! This looks like a solid ETF Battle to me. Take care, Ron P.S. We're now in Season 3 of ETF Battles (2022), here's the full playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PL2nQqIxm8RGDupzzM6wi2Km7pUz0aEMPD.html
Cost and return for an ETF play could induce me to buy RPV, however digging through Qval for possible individual value plays seems the prudent path. As in life, in most cases I consistently prefer individuals over collectives.
I know that Ron ! Groceries are basic and necessities like the core holding and value Fund ! Long term investment Perfumes are like thematic and high growth fund ! I think that what you meant and it’s a good description
QVAL is rebalanced quarterly, according to their materials. Here's more: alphaarchitect.com/wp-content/uploads/compliance/etf/education/Focused_Factors_etf_vF.pdf
@etfguide Value is relative to the competition. Right now RPV is disappointing on that basis and It's name Pure Value seems a little misleading. But I'm OK with it because I learned not to buy big positions long time ago. I'm surprised at the amount of sorry communication stocks in its top ten holdings.
S&P vs. Russell. Two indexing giants fighting for AUM. What's not to like about that? Thanks for being a fan of ETF Battles. Tell everyone about the show. Ron
Lonely? You've got investing greats like Howard Marks, Seth Klarman, Mohnish Pabrai, Ben Graham - sharing your same value philosophy. That's some big league company. Glad you enjoyed this fun value ETF battle. I hope your summer is going well! Ron
Small cap value (VBR) didn't make this episode. But if you send us another ticker, we can include it in a future ETF Battles. The VTI vs. FZROX is a) LOL funny, b) a super sleepy match up and c) they are both good funds, but see A and B.
@@etfguide i just don't understand why one trades at 13 dollars and the other trades at 180 ish if they track the same things. I must be missing something but I appreciate you responding to my comment
@@fabiGBOtown I haven't looked at the share prices or compared them, so I have no insights on that part. So what ever you're missing, I'm missing too. LOL Ron
@@etfguide fzrox is at 13 ish and vti is at 180 ish but I can't figure out why this difference. Does popularity matter? Are people just buying what they see online or is there something deeper in fzrox that makes it a bad investment? Thats what im trying to figure out. Should I hire like a financial advisor to explain this to me? Fidelity claims they are not familiar with vti so they are no help.. I'm laughing but this question is burning a whole in my brain 🧠
I propose a battle between LTC and OHI. Great dividends, plus long-term growth because this is an industry where Baby Boomers will provide a boost to the economy. 😃 💰 💵
Hi Joanne, LTC and OHI are individual stocks, not ETFs. Good suggestion though for "Stock Battles"! And yes, I agree 1,000% with your point about healthcare for the aging BB's. I know the owner of an assisted care facility and the business is raining cash flow. Find me one like that and we can be partners! Take care, Ron

Hi Ron..could we get a battle between total market ETF's : VTI vs SPTM vs AVUS
All market equity ETFs never get old. I vote for this ETF Battle! Let's see what our judges think. Best, Ron

Spoken like a true non-conformist. 👍Love it. Ron
Great presentation Ron buying stocks like grocery not like perfume ! Yes 100% correct
Ebrahim, to be clear, there's nothing wrong with buying perfume. Who doesn't want to smell good? Good to see you again amigo! Warm regards, Ron

How often is QVAL rebalanced by the fund company ?

@@etfguide Thank you
RPV is suppose to be pure value. It does not look like it in March of 2023
Market conditions change everything no? Ron

Hi Ron. I enjoyed this one as value is my favorite area. It's been kind of lonely here in this side of the investing spectrum.

I was hoping that they would mention VBR as a mystery category. Guess I'm not in the right funds. Still don't understand vti vs fzrox lol.
