Nice discussion on dividends and buybacks by Meb. Mike made some excellent points on this too. I'm not a dividend guy exactly. I like the sectors that are likely to return capital to the investors, but I take it any way I can get it.
Isn't Meb a wonderful addition to ETF Battles? His sense of stock market history and other interesting takes is refreshing. As for Mike, he's always on top of his game too. Good to see you again and I hope your summer is going well. Ron
Congratulations to WheelsAlwaysTurning, we chose your ETF Battle request. Send us your mailing address and shirt size or we can also send you an ETF Battles coffee mug, you decide! www.etfguide.com/contact-us
JD: Appreciate your kind words. And yes, I did see DHS recommended by a few other viewers as a battle contestant - so I'm glad it made the cut. Great minds think alike! Ron
Glad you like them! BTW, we launched Crypto vs. Crypto (Season 1) earlier this year and we're dropping more episodes later this month. If you have a crypto contest or ETF contest you'd like to see, send us the tickers in the comment section here or on our Twitter feed @etfguide. Take care, Ron P.S. SCHD is formidable but has underperformed all 3 dividend ETFs in this particular ETF battle on a YTD basis and over the past 1 year. Keep on eye on industry sector exposures of whatever dividend ETFs you hold or are considering, because as we head into a more defensive, recessionary environment, it will likely mean better performance for utilities, consumer staples and healthcare. Thanks for watching! Ron
That’s a very short time frame to look it. If you still look at returns over the past 5 years which includes two other major pull backs 2018 and march 2020 SCHD is still kicking their butt
My take? NONE! I am a fan of Vanguard funds for a multitude of reasons, but VTI is my go to fund to double down on and invest into... Over 4k stocks within it and a fantastic balance between growth and value plays from small to mid and large caps!
VTI is a great choice for investors seeking core exposure to the entire U.S. stock market. But for investors seeking high dividend income, VTI isn't an optimal choice because it's not built for that. Thanks for watching! Ron
GTO, my coffee maker is being repaired. Can you believe it? The machine is less than one-year old too! So thanks for sending me the hot coffee emojis! Ron

Looks like a good ETF Battle! Thank you Sanjit.
Nice ETF Battle Ron. Glad to see DHS in there, it was one of my choices for my doubleheader ETF battle.
Thanks for your videos. Keep em coming.

Great videos. I started investing in the stock market and only invest in ETFs. So your channel has been extremely helpful

I think SCHD trumps them all 😀. Once you find the best horse, why keep looking?

Your take on wkly
WKLY vs what? That’s the context for ETF Battles instead of empty opinions.
Great videos.

Welcome aboard!
I wish Med would have suggested an alternative that fits his strategy that likes better. Any such etfs out there?
Med? Who's that? I don't see anyone named Med on ETF Battles. Ron
Meb or Med you know who he meant.

Maybe increase your timer to 2 minutes lol!
No and NEVER! lol
Check out DIVZ. Positive return in 2022. Run by a former PIMCO PM. No derivatives just good fundamental stock picking.
Keith: Please give us your ETF Battles suggestion. DIVZ vs. ????? Thanks, Ron
@@etfguide How about DIVO?
