Death is a respecter of none; therefore, being a great musician, successful, and loved by millions does not necessarily add to a long life. Although it is not uncommon for Rock stars to have a reputation for living fast and dying young for many reasons, their curtain calls are often as unconventional as their careers. However, a select few bizarrely took their final bows. But what makes these deaths stranger than fiction? Why did fate take such unexpected turns for these rock icons? Loved Yardbirds
In the late 1980's I experienced an major electrical shock by guitar and ungrounded PA microphone while playing in a rock band onstage at a bar, I could feel the 120 Volt 60 Hz AC current ripping through my body. It was awful, the worst electrical shock of my life.
Chicago guitarist/vocalist Terry Kath is another unusual death. He liked to collect and play with guns near the end of his life. He was holding an unloaded revolver to his head and pulling the trigger. Someone warned him not to keep doing it and he put a different pistol to his head and said "What do think I'm gonna do, blow my brains out?". He didn't know there was a round in the chamber and he shot himself.
I can't say Sid Vicous' death was particularly unusual.
Was sure Cliff Burton would have made the list
So there was a Tommy Bolin, a guitarist and a Marc Bolan, a singer guitarist.

Michael Hutchence was a suicide. He had recently sustained a head injury which deprived him of his sense of smell, which means also sense of taste. Suicide is a common reaction to this injury, the degradation of quality of life and resultant anhedonia is well documented. Hutchence was a very sensual person, he could jot cope.
OMG!!!! The male audience members are dressed (1:39) in suits and ties and so is the band..... can you imagine that happening today?!!!
