Of course Pit Bulls are not bad. They're the sweetest things. Treat a human that way and see if you can gain their trust back. Dogs are the best, pit bulls are no exception.
She was NOT a bad girl.. she was a scared girl, scared to be in a cage alone. She looks like my babygirl who is now gone, pitbull was the most loving and gentle dog ive had and im happy this lovable girl didnt have a bad ending. My heart was literally breaking. I have a little Pittie girl who was rescued from a high kill shelter
15 minutes before being euthanized. She was still a puppy. I cannot imagine the world without her in it. She sweetest and most loving dog I have EVER seen. Bless you for saving the lives of little loves who deserve to live more than some people!
In my suburb of Los Angeles Palos Verdes, we have peacocks and we are zoned for and have many horses. San Pedro has peacocks that have migrated. People have no idea what Los Angeles is really like.

this is one of the reasons I want to become an animal welfare officer when I grow up. rescuing animals, giving them a second chance, seeing them go from defensive and nervous to a loving animal. this really inspired me, what a beautiful story

Poor girl was so scared. You could tell that wasnt an agression look, she looked defensive because of fear, it's different than just outright wanting to attack things.
She had a right to be defensive. She was hours away for death, for no reason..
My dog was EXACTLY like that when I went to pick her up from a rescue, she growled, snipped at me, paced and growled the first 3-4 hours she was at my place, and IDENTICALLY I gave her treats as they did, she'd growl as she slowly stretched out to get the treat and quickly pull back. ONLY DIFFERENCE was that I didn't have to worry as much about what the bite would feel like SHOULD it happen, because she was an 8 lb chihuahua. But I mean, watching this was like watching EXACTLY the SAME dog only this dog is a "scary breed" compared to a chihuahua. I was soooo scared the first time I finally took a deep breath and picked her up to quickly deposit her next to me on porch swing. Took her to bed with me a couple hours later and next morning she turned into a velcro dog, just like that, just as this dog went from growling to wagging its tail and looking at them with sweet curiosity as they tentatively went to place the leash on her. It's a shame, that JUST BECAUSE OF BREED, this dog's actions, IDENTICAL to a little chihuahuas actions, are viewed differently. Poor dogs!

No problem turning her fear into bloodbath. She will need a training of someone who knows what he's doing. When chihuahua mirrors her human's fear, is protective, teritorial etc,. she wont do much damage.

Oh my gosh I started crying when her time was up. Poor dog just needed a bit of tender loving care. I got a dog that didn't like to b touched and we r a family who r very touchy feely and my dog would gently growl but we continued and she just loves being made a fuss of and looks for more when u stop petting her. That's all dogs need is a bit of love.

I'm so glad people like this exist. There was a pittie that I really wanted from a shelter near me, but when I went to see him, he growled at me. I know that some dogs in shelters are just scared, but I was worried he was actually aggressive and I didn't want to risk it. He was a pretty massive dog and muscular as hell, and I have a senior cat who I've had for 12 years. Her safety always comes first for me, and I couldn't live with myself if I got a dog that ended up hurting her. I felt so guilty leaving him because the shelter worker who was walking him outside afterwards pretty much begged me to take him, telling me that he was really nice but a bit scared by all the noise in the shelter and that no one wanted him because he growled. He disappeared from the shelter a month or two later and I was devastated wondering if he had been put down. This gives me a little more hope that someone saw through his fear and took him in.
These dogs are absolutely brilliant it's the abuse off the owners that makes them wary this wonderful ♥️ lady that saved this dog is an angel well done mam 👍♥️

@Anthony Roic false statement. Plus the dog in the video is not a pit bull. The real American pit bull terrier (the pit bull) are animal aggressive dogs but not human aggressive. Did you know people used to have their dogs stolen? That's how friendly the dogs were.
Vidoes like this are special because they show no animal is mean or aggressive they are made that way and with lots of love and kindness you can help an animal change their whole perspective on life! I was just screaming "NO! NO!" at my phone screen when the lady was told that her time was up. As soon as the good news came I nearly broke down in tears.
Edit: I just rewatched this and I fell to the floor in tears to see that the city where Angel was from had overturned the pit-ban which has now allowed more families to open their home to this breed. Wishing the best that Angel gets her happy ending and ends up as someone's best friend.
@virginia rodriguez I've been around 4 pitties. All but 1 loved me, the fourth one took time to get to know but in the end with him I got to be in the room with him. And I have to agreed that Pitties are like any dog out there.
Sure to a lot of people they are bad dogs but not to people who actually know the breed and how to train and raise them.
I may not have grown up around Pit-bulls but I've seen shows on animal planet and videos on here on UA-cam about Pit-bulls getting their second chance to be family dogs, just like Angel.

@virginia rodriguez well one of the dogs named Dilbert that they had, I follow them over on Facebook, with the help of showing him on their show his real owner showed up to get him. He had been missing four years, not only did he get a home and out of the kennel but he got to go back to his real home to be with his real human mom.

Anytime a lost pet gets to go back home to real home there is gonna be tears. But for Dilbert he waited four years to get his happy ending.

omg this was literally my dog. mom my and stepdad went to look at dogs and they saw her and she was growling and snapping a the gate. my stepdad was like hell no but my mom (thankfully) was like "no you need to see how she is out of the cage" so we did and she is the sweetest thing she loves kisses and hugs and is sooo cuddly. so if you see a dog in a shelter that seems vicious give it a chance it could be the best Dog ever.
My dog was totally vicious in the shelter. She was barking so scarily, she was driving everyone out of the shelter. She had a sign on her cage/kennel, saying, "My name is (Blank), I'm nicer than I appear". The sign was a lie, and I fell for a lie and now I am stuck with a vicious dog who is a liability. The vet, during the dog's first, free, shelter offered, exam, told me that my new dog was very dangerous. I act accordingly, but people on the street don't listen when I tell them not to pet my dog. Luckily, my dog responds to voice command. Even when she's in a red hot rage, when I yell "No!" She will stop her attack.

@@gobot581 Actually, my dog just attacked me an hour ago. She has an upset stomach and whenever she does, she blames me and wants nothing to do with me. She will go up to strangers, which she would never do if she was healthy. I had opened my front door and she ran out and started eating grass. An Amazon driver pulled up and came up our walkway. My dog hates and wants to kill all delivery people. I knew I had to get my dog back in the house pronto. I told her to go in the house, but she kept eating grass. I went to grab her collar and she attacked me, ripping a long deep cut in my ring finger, which is still bleeding after 2 hours. I was bleeding all over the yard and the Amazon delivery driver told me I should get a cat! I need to return my dog to the shelter, even after 4 1/2 years, I can't trust her.
@@Miyalour Yes, but we went to the dog park today and even people who have known her for 4 years agreed that I should take her back to the shelter and 2 even recommended a "Kill", shelter.

I would’ve adopted her in a heartbeat. I am just now seeing this one year later. My sister has a pittie and she was rescued and is the most loving and loyal dog. She loves her human grandma and whines by the door even if she just steps outside for a min or two. She gets anxious when my sister plays with the kids lol. I was hesitant at first to trust her around my kid bc of the strength of pitties and how they attack, and I hadn’t realized how good they are with kids (as a rescue dog with unknown background, any dog of any breed could pose an issue with kids, but pitties tend to not let go once they latch on and so I was extra cautious since I didn’t know how they were with kids), but after a few times at her house I quickly realized how much they love kids. She’s so sweet and gentle. She’s a licker too and always feels that you need a bath 😂 People really need to start understanding this breed and realizing it’s not the breed that’s the problem, it’s the low lifes that train them to be aggressive, abusive them, use them to guard drugs and to use for dog fighting. Smh. Many times, even when they are rescued after having been horrendously abused, they are still so sweet and timid (scared, but timid). I’m waiting until I can put a fence up and either add on to our small house or get a new one, if we can get to a point where we can afford to fix it up, and then I’d like to red he one. I’d rather deal with a third pet and save one, than not, but unfortunately It’s not solely my decision, and my two cats are a mess.

This has made my day ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ I'm so sick and tired of the discrimination towards one of the most sweetest, loving, caring, and very forgiving breeds out there💔💔😭💔 I love that videos like this is showing up all the time now, this helps these furbabiez the BEST exposure to the world to show just how resilient they are and that it IS the owner that has made a dog put up their walls in defending themselves. All they had know previously was that a human hurt them so badly that that's all they know to protect themselves. But it doesn't take long for them to realize hey these humans aren't bad, and they come out of protective mode and start to trust us again! I don't know many humans that I can say would be so trusting again after going through what these dogs previous owners have done!! People need to realize that dog's can't talk out their emotions and comes across to us humans as "aggressive", if we weren't able to talk too we would certainly come off as "aggressive" too!! If only everyone would actually see it this way, then this breed and any other breed wouldn't always be under attack!!
In Lancaster county shelter Pitts were up for adoption , My girl Brandy sank against the doorway where dogs in this kennel are free to meet people looking but also free to retreat in a safe space for herself.
Brutal's was right there in the in-between with an extremely sad face (pitt mastiff)
I choose her card and asked for the get acquainted room ..
What came through that door you would imagine was a different dog..
Her enthusiasm was off the charts and when she greeted me she did so belly exposed .
At the time Pitts were taboo , but this girl was the most best dog I've ever owned the temperament is outstanding no matter how far the abuse they received their heart always seems to survive . Very beautiful to experience

Just like our dog a 3 year old brindle pit the day we got her they were going to put her down. She was in a kennel so long her legs were underdeveloped I know she came from a tough place because she has separation anxiety and I'm happy to report that she is just a big lovable baby!

The first one I saw tried to rip my head off when i was four. They're monsters.
Any breed can be trained to attack. 2019 study by AKC over 1k dog attacks found that #1 Retrievers, #2 dobermans, #3 Chihuahua,,problem was the pitbull (real name Staffordshire bull terrier) attacks get reported, released to media, others do not. I worked in adoption events, rescue world for 20+ yrs, mostly pitties but many other breeds, I was bitten many times but NEVER by the pitties, & we dealt with pittes from the worst conditions you can imagine, they were very scared, abused, still wagging their tails & with a little care, love these wonderful furrbabies just gave unconditional love, & I received, still receive emails from many, many adopters how wonderfully the dogs have changed their lives,,etc. Bully breeds are simply unconditional love. If that day when you were young & ran into a shepard or mastiff that was trained to attack, would you consider ALL of that breed to be monsters? Btw Ive seen more bullys trained in service industry than any other also. Just some info from the other side of the stories. Blessings.🙏❤🐾
@@lesare6509 you're full of crap. I've been around all breeds of dogs and I've never known of any of them to attack unprovoked except for pits. The one that nearly killed me was not "trained to attack". It was a family pet and had never shown aggression before. You can defend those demons all you want, but you're wrong.
Such an amazing inspirational story I miss my pit so much, please take care of your Dogs if u don't have time or patience give them away don't neglect them cause you hav a busy life they truly desire to be loved

I’ve had dogs all my life. 6 mos. ago i rescued a pit bull. She is the sweetest thing! Smart, loyal and a love bomber. I highly recommend adopting these dogs.
