    I can definitely tell you you're gonna need a better pump for that huge pool. I got the exact same one for my wife 18'. We leveled ours with sand, a ground cloth, tarp and used pavers for the legs to sit on. Its up and running perfect. I may post a video of mines later for anyone who may be interested on getting any advice.

      Chris, at what point did you add the pavers? We're in the process, but the pool keeps slipping off of them 😩

    • @KCU_Unfiltered
      @KCU_Unfiltered 4 роки тому +5

      @@85jmcmahon I added them once the ground was level and the pool was set-up without adding the water. I would suggest getting 2 x 6 pavers. The 2 x 4 pavers are kinda small. Adjust the legs as the pool is filling up to keep them straight and you should be fine.

    We have had a few these pools. I can’t believe it didn’t come with a ground cover. These are really cute. My last one lasted 10-12 years. Last summer we had a pool store install an above the ground pool. Mississippi summers are rough without a pool lol.

    • @AGwen10
      @AGwen10 2 роки тому +1

      We are on our 4th or 5th pool in the last 8-9 years or so. We always had a ground cover and never used it. This new one we got I said let's put the ground cover first then the leveling sand and the darn thing didn't come with a ground cover this time. Oh well, started setting up this weekend and legs were already sinking, so drained it and going to install pavers under the legs like others. It drives us insane with those legs start sinking...no matter how much we level it. Crossing fingers for better luck with this one. You all are so helpful.

    This is the 2nd video I watched of yours. Thank God. (You're probably sick of seeing my comments at this point. LOL) We have had the same pool with the portholes and love the look of it, but we had to have them replace it 3x because the portholes were leaking, no matter what we did to prevent the leaks each time. They finally made one with the brown wicker without the portholes, so that is what we got now. Crossing our fingers for success this week with getting and keeping this thing leveled! How expensive is to fill this pool?

    • @HurricaneHomestead
      @HurricaneHomestead  3 роки тому

      I guess that depends on what you want to fill it with... Ha Ha. It's rated at about a 15k gallon pool. We're on a well so it didn't cost us anything but time and running our pump to fill it, but you can probably calculate it by looking at your cost per gallon on your water bill.

    I'm beyond irritated with my above ground pool experience, I've been leveling my ground by hand on and off for a few months now and the first time I filled the pool a bit i noticed some sections where it was 3" off level so I drained it and did it again and got everything within 1" and I filled it up to 24" inches now and noticed that not all the legs are getting force to push the liner outward, only the spot that is lowest compared to all the rest. 3/4 of the pool is 24" and one is about 25", that section is nice and firm into the wood boards I have it setting on. The other legs have virtually no weight and I can easily lift them...:(

    There are some recommendations I’ve read that say not to use sand for leveling. Have you noticed any issues with sand as a leveler? We purchased the same exact pool.

    • @HurricaneHomestead
      @HurricaneHomestead  4 роки тому +5

      jody willis we leveled our ground under the sand for our first pool and found that it was not comfortable because of small irregularities and rocks sticking up. We put down a layer of sand just to fill in the gaps and put a buffer between the hard ground and the bottom of the pool. It is 100% more comfortable this go round! I would not recommend using sand to level out the ground as it would likely move or get washed out, but once you get it fairly level, it makes a great base for the pool to rest on.

    • @MrTk1842
