1-1 tutoring
I am offering paid one-to-one tutoring in maths, further maths, computer science or physics to a limited number of students aiming for Grade 9s. Message me at tamrastips@gmail.com for more information.
🙋🏻♀️Who am I?
If you are looking for a YT Channel to guide you through Year 10, 11, 12 and 13 to Grade 9s at GCSE and As/A*s at A Level, you have come to the right place!
My name is Tamra and I achieved Grade 9s in all of my subjects at GCSE. However, I was not always achieving Grade 9s in Year 11. I actually went from a Grade 6 to Grade 9 in English Language - I did this by changing my mindset, how I looked and answered the questions.
Now, I am completing 5 A Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science, Physics and Music and I have 4/4 offers so far to study Computer Science at uni.
With hard work and my (free) guidance, you will be able to get higher grades and perhaps even all 9s in your final exams if you put your mind to it. Anything is possible :). Feel free to like, comment or subscribe if this helps you. I hope to see you in the next video.

I did gcses last year and I used to get bullied a lot at that school so this means I couldn’t concentrate and focus properly and I didn’t even pass. Just using this as an example so none of you end up like me
sorry about that you're way better than those no- lifes

Thank you so much genuinely like I’m actually so stressed for my gcse and like I’m pushed to like do all my subjects everyday and It doesn’t sit well with me so hearing this reassures me that I can at least up my grade
You've got this! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
I am doing 1 a level and this was actually SO helpful. It is refreshing to have someone who is going through the same thing that I am going through who can give advice on exams. I'll be trying some of these tips after I get my coursework finished. Just liked and subscribed!
Good luck with the coursework! Mine is taking ages haha. Glad the content is relatable :)
thank you so much, i never have the motivation to revise and i want to step up from 7/8s to 9s
You've got this :))
Are you going to school in Spain?

@dxhas REALLL bro im satisfied with my mock grades but now I feel SOOOO LAZY
Thank you so much! I haven't done very well in my March mocks due to some personal issues which made my grades completely drop in all aspects. So I'm trying to get myself back up and your video has come at the perfect time. Honestly, you have made my day
Aww thank you :) you can do this! Just one last push to show your true potential!!
Can you PLEASE do a video about how to get a nine in gcse music? It's my worst subject and there are no other videos about music 😢
So easy to understand, you are very knowledgable Tamra !

hey girl, im in year 10, doing computer science. We all missed out on the subject in the past years, and even this year we have only djust secured a teacher. Im pretty lost, and it would be really helpful if you made some sort of guide on the subject. I hope you see this. ❤️
Can you please share your gcse prep after school and weekend time table? Please 🙏
Hey Tamra!! Can you share with us your after school weekly time tables during your GCSE prep in year 10 and 11??
It would really be a great help, please 🥺
thank you so much tamra!! i hope your a levels go well for you. id like to ask a question, ive got my igcses coming up and theyre practically in a month (a bit less) do you think ill be able to manage since i had personal issues that basically made studying or doing anythign extremely difficult, like i know youve emphasized this throughout the video but do you genuinely think its possible? and do you think i should go over the whole syllabus again or just start past papers? would love to know what you think
thank you very much, i appreciate it a lottt
Can u do a video for gcse getting 9 grade in computer ?
Hi Tamra! ❤️ I really love your videos :) I wanted to ask you since English is also my weaker subject… do you recommend a specific UA-camr for English in the run up to the exams? I’m struggling to revise and I keep flip flopping on where to revise for English 😭🤡
Which English is it? I find that English Literature helps with English Language. If you can research word level analysis for your texts, through doing this, you will learn what kind of analysis you need to find in English Language. If you're struggling with the creative writing or the persuasive writing, try and practice this daily by setting aside just half an hour a day. If you want, I do mention which UA-camrs I found useful in my English Lang and Lit videos :)
Try Mr Salles, he does lit and lang!
Great thanks for the recs guys 🙏🏼🙏🏼
low-key i haven’t revised at all during the holidays and it’s about to end. am i cooked
no you still have a week start now
@@Koko-lz8sn i have 3 days left
@@yaq7000 Do a subject a day, 3 subjects gone... and do the rest after school during the next weeks? Youve got this!
@@yaq7000 and you have weekends where u have all day, also do some work during breaktime?
im cooked 😂
same bruh 🤣
Hi thank you for the video
I'd you don't mind can you tell me if the jump from gcse to a level big?
i have my leaving cert in 2 months yay
How many hours a day (on average) did you study per day over the Easter break for GCSE’s?
I’m at at a 4 in biology i need a 6 so bad would it be possible
Very possible
Im tring to learn all of A-level Biology in this 1 week. Do you recommend I spend the week memorising content and then doing past paper qs once i return to school or do both at once and therefore longing out the memorisation process? idk how ill manage anyway but this video was encouraging thank you🙏
I would say tackle the content by topic so that you can revise the content from the spec and then do past paper questions on that topic. That way you're working on your exam technique as well!
how many times do you need to go over content to get grade 9s in GCSE
Could you tell me how to revise English literature edexcel exam board poetry and prose effectively ?
I literally love you so much THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH GOD BLESS
Hi Tamra, what are you planning on studying at uni? Thanks for the tips!
Computer science - hopefully at Imperial 😁
That sounds great, good luck! @@tamratips
I Really need help. I am studying daily for 2 hours maths and science because those are the A levels I want. However my highest grade I got for Maths is a high 6 and for science 77a. What should i do for 7 or higher for both subjects?
Also i Dont have much time
@@lospistachios1254for maths try Maths Genie worksheets / mock exam papers they have a lot of resources on their website! To learn content I recommend “Cognito” and “the GCSE maths tutor”. Regarding science, I recommend free science lessons and the website “Physics and Math Tutor” they have so many resources! Also don't forget to note the examiner's report and specifications as it tells you exactly what people with high grades did compared to people who scored relatively lower. The specification states everything you need to know for the exam! Don't give up you can do this!!!!! Fighting 😊
use science with hazels all in one videos and try to do more than 2 hrs but build it up slowly
For maths go on maths genie and do the top band question papers, grade 7, 8 and 9. Then do some papers and see what you get. I find maths genie rlly effective!
Maths and science have the same sort of structured questions every year so try and practice doing past papers. But quality over quantity, don't try and complete all of the past papers. Instead focus on each one until you fully understand everything you are losing marks on. It may take time to fully understand one paper but once you do, the next paper will become much easier :)
I just did my march mocks on paper 2 stuff for sciences so i am mostly doing paper 1 for sciences and next week i am finished to do past papers
I thought to do past papers for 2 papers and i can see that what i forgot for paper 2 instead of revising it again bc paper 1 content is what i don’t really remember
What do u think
You're gorgeous
Any tips fo staying focused during a past paper cuz every time i struggle i start hyperventilating over the real thing
Keep doing them, your issue is anxiety and it’s actually better you get it out now than panicking in the real thing. If you don’t know content learn it, use past papers as a tool to fill gaps.
U don't need to do a whole paper like doing a whole English language paper is somewhat unreasonable. Cut it up into sections and sometimes don't bother with questions ur good at. So if you know ur good at Q2 paper 1 don't do it. Same with other subjects like science. FOCUS ON UR WEAKNESSES
Do you think it is possible to go from a 4 to a 7,8 or 9 until gcses
ur finishedd u better get revising now else ur gonna end up as them corner stop crackheads
@@neshnesh4536 is that a yes or no?😭
@@chimmylumi the answer is it's possible, but only if you get distractions out of the way
How are we meant to do the whole paper in a way?!
U don't have to do it all at once but if u can try to. U can cut the exam paper up so do a few questions and take a break and then do more questions
Reason y I say try to is so u can tome ursefl and find out where u need to go faster. Sometimes starting on harder questions can be good than "warming up"
i want to follow my lesson timetable do u think that's a good idea just so I don't prioratise my fav subjects lol
Yeah that works too although if you keep the timetable during school time you might get tired of doing those subjects twice in a day!
I am still making my flashcards for most of my subjects is it too late ? I’m planning to finish it by then end of Easter holidays
No it's not too late. Sounds like a solid plan :)
Im screwed 😢
SAME
@@ChloeJM205you can do this! Don't forget your goals, fighting 😊
You've got this trust me, you have 2 weeks ahead to go through content, and when you get back to school you have teachers to support you. Maybe do some exam -style questions for subjects like English and ask them to be assessed so you get feedback.
No one is screwed just yet - we have to stay motivated for this last push!
I'm in Year 10 does it matter for me?
never hurts to start early and form good habits :)
i usemy school timetable as a revision schedule, would that work
Yeah, that's a rlly good idea, as long as you feel its effective.
