Design changes every 2 years, new design this year.
From s1 to s5 we had same design with plastic body.most android devices start looking premium from last 2yrs when chinese smartphones gains in market.so chinese smartphones made them to push their limits to gain premium devices.

Single Core 2000 - 2200 Multicore - 6000+
THE US Snapdragon 820 verion has:
Single Core 2300 -2500 Multicore - ~5400
However, the Snapdragon 820 has faster GPU so I think the US version is *very much slightly* superior. But US versions are more bloated with carrier software.

What's very important is which one could last longer for this kinda speed. Wonder which phone manage it better once it reaches 70% usage of memory including their own software.
I love both of these phones. Performance wise iphone is better but they lack the style, and the screen is as standard as it gets, this sells for those people who hates laggy phones, but if u wanna get style, speed, and exeptional performance. Then s7 is for u. I would preffer s7 for light users (people who do not use and install as much, coz s7 tends to get laggy over time) and iphones for heavy users coz even though u have alot of apps in ur phone, the iphone still runs as smooth as silk. Both phones ive used everyday, and both of them are amazing. The reality is, u cant compare these 2, coz they are what they are, and what they are is unique.
Are we really arguing about milliseconds? Nowadays phones are really fast, they can do anything in a blink of an eye. The only question we have is which OS do you like more.
I think it shows that despite the spec upgrade the S7 general day usage has not improved much compared to its main competitor the iPhone. Remember the iPhone has much much lower specs. I think it proves that dual core is probably all you need for a smart phone and that it is better to optimise than get into a spec war like Android has. Google realises that having an open platform will mean that users get poor experiences with time, general lag and slowdown with buggy battery drain, etc. They are trying to move in the Apple direction but it's going to be tough as the youth market drives all the widgets and customisation demands. As we get older that sort of thing becomes unimportant, my generation just wants something that works that does not mean I have to do a factory reset very three months due to lag. Hopefully Google can use Android N to solve some of these issues rather than gimmicky features.
This shows that you need much higher specs to give the same performance with 4x more details.
The only advantage the iOS has is that there are about 5-8 phones to optimise for, so the developers can easily do that. However on Android there are maybe a hundred different specs, so the devs just write the code for a few Android devices, and they hope that it will run good on every phone.
It's like console vs PC gaming.
I heared a deveoper said that they work really hard to optimise their program to older iPhones with even weaker specs, because Apple demands it.

I think that they are both good phones and as fast as each other. For it all comes down to what you can do to your phone to make it your own and works the way you want it to. This means that, for me, Android wins hands down

Its just the animation that makes the iphone very slightly slower if you compare the two in slow mo. The s7 has an immediate warp to the home screen which is ever so slightly faster.

the reason the apple keeps up with the S7 is because the S7 has nearly twice the amount of pixels to push than the iphone. If the S7 had the same pixel density as the iphone it would load apps in half the time.

these days, phones became so much faster and capable and we should consider our personal needs to buy a phone not in terms of speed
+boi danny (baechu) Nooo...The S7 Edge supports micro sim (and dual sim). On top of that, it is dust resistant and waterproof to up to 1.5m for 30 minutes. The S7 Edge has about 50% more battery life than the 6S Plus. The S7 Edge has a much better speaker, near-perfect call quality (much better than the 6S Plus), much better reception (necessary for a phone....) and the list goes on for quite a while.
The S7 Edge is obviously the much more easy device to use. Despite the large display, it is much and much smaller than the 6S Plus which has the same display size. On top of that, nearly everything is automated on the S7 Edge, whereas you need to manually do certain actions on the iPhone. The camera is also much better, especially in low-light. The difference between the S7 Edge and the 6S Plus is like the S7 Edge being an DSLR and the 6S Plus being a potato (S7 edge see's in the dark the image the same way your eyes see, the 6S Plus see's nothing...just pitch black...).
There are a few plus points to the 6S Plus as well though! It has more quality apps but there are also more crashes. I already own an S7 Edge and I am glad that I do. No crashes, no worries about battery life. The phone is just amazing, hence the reviewers also agree with me ;)

But , Samsung has superior Camera, Battery and Sharp Crisp QHD AMOLED display. So, I'd go with Samsung S7.

That's to do more with amoled than pixel count. The great Samsung marketing trick of blowing out colours to make it look better when it has no resemblance to real life, a great trick which pleases it's fans. If you used an iPhone you would still get a great experience, but I do get it that some users value the feel (look) rather than the quality, and Samsung have made marketing this an art form.
