Critics say that Traum's burned out cliche virtuosic repertoire, but I actually like hearing these pieces that aren't as common or technically challenging from him. Great job as always!
@@thecozytrader00 Alkan pieces might be technically challenging, but most of them are very difficult to listen to. I despise listening to Alkan because there is no melody nor any interesting harmony in most of his compositions. Surely other people like him, but I don't.

“It is dreadful when something weighs on your mind, not to have a soul to unburden yourself to. You know what I mean. I tell my piano the things I used to tell you.” -Frédéric Chopin
Exquisitely beautiful and tragic, how Chopin’s genius created this is a mystery of nature. The note at 5:05 always gets me, like the saddest resignation I have ever heard. Currently going through grief for a family member who died, I probably shouldn’t be listening to this but it perfectly suits my mood.
This was great. From the beginning you really brought out the different voices so very well. The melody notes were more dominant as it should be, but the middle voices also got some attention when they needed to. It's easy to play something like this very flatly, but you did a great job in making it colorful!
So beautiful. How come I have never heard this before. Playing left and right hands slightly out of sync makes room for some beautiful melodies to emerge. Brilliant!

Fantastic interpretation. Bringing the hands out of sync to separate the lower and higher melodies is genius. Would you perhaps consider doing Prokofiev Sonatas? Maybe Ligeti Etudes as well?

Ι think the most tragic music would be anything written by Galina Ustvolskaya. She's kinda obscure, but her music is reallly abrasive and barren, not as melodic as Chopin, but her music is deffinately worth checking out.
Question from a non-player: The piece sounds much easier to play than most other etudes (fewer notes), what exactly is the technical difficulty behind it that justifies the inclusion in the etudes?
I must retract some of my critisicms against traum as I've seen him drag back on the clickbaity titles/thumbnails. I still prefer having just the name of the piece in the title but thats a minor detail. Good work traum I can now enjoy your skill a lot more, have a nice day :) Also I really like having the books in the rhumbnail its a nice touch :)
I'm sure this particular etude summons different scenarios in people's imaginations. I always think of the lower part as the wooing technique of a young man who is eager to win the affections of a beautiful but coy young woman represented by the higher part. He is giving his all, using all his available charm, and though she is interested she is not making it easy for him, so he has to bring out his very best melodies. His best, as we hear, is awesome, and he wins through at the closing notes as she allows herself to be won over. It is a beautiful piece of music.
What's tragic is that Chopin left this world far too soon. Imagine all of the possible collabs we could've had 😢
Yeah :( I wanted you two to make-up the misunderstandings of the past :(
