Placement and targeting is key in this strategy. I had to restart once because I looked away from the video for 5s and missed the targeting of the ice monkey and the upgrades of the alchemist and village.
For anyone wondering: YES, this run still works as of patch 40.2 HOWEVER, there’s a small catch: top path spike factory was nerfed. The run goes the exact same up until round 43. In that round you’ll leak Bloons if you don’t use sauda’s ability. From then on you can do this same run but you should be using sauda’s ability whenever Bloons start rushing through the spike mines, since they’re now less powerful. It’s no longer as chill since you need to actually pay attention to the game, but it’s still about as easy as a CHIMPS expert map run can possibly get, it’s the only thing that requires you to turn on your brain for a few seconds. And it’s probably the most forgiving ability in the game in terms of timing. One thing the video doesn’t make clear: The first 17 rounds HAVE RNG. It has nothing to do with the latest patch, this was also the case in patch 39. The video is basically the best case scenario where you get perfect RNG and you don’t need to use Sauda’s ability. Just make sure to use it as soon as a bloon gets past her and you’re good, though.

I’d recommend playing on normal speed, and to buy the ice monkey before round 80. Buy the carpet of spikes way before round 98 after buying the glue gunner, spike storm came in handy in tight situations. With the latest nerfs you’ll be forced to use sauda’s abilities but only wait till bloons have made their way through half the spiked mines
I had no issues with the bloons after I got the ice monkey. Rounds 94, 95, 96 and 98 should all be very easy as the left hand side stalls and pops the moabs while the alch-buffed spiked mines cleans up the leaks. If you place the spike storm before round 99, it will probably eat the buff from the alch that should go to the spiked mines, which might result in the spiked mines not being able to handle the bloons and leak something. Even after the spiked mines nerf, this strategy is very reliable.
I got to round 80 on my 3rd attempt. First died around 17 or so when saving up for the spike factory. Slowing down there to use saudas ability if needed helps. Wave 43 was my second fail. There I also opted to use saudas ability, just in case. Everything else until 80 went fine. I placed the ice monkey too early because I thought that might bring in additonal safety, but not sure if this decision made it worse due to alchemist not targeting the crossbow master as much. To sum it up I think this approach is still viable (although I don't know how the later waves 90 - 100 will be handled).
@@esdave1240 I believe that getting the ice monkey before round 80 caused you to die because it stole the alch buff from the crossbow master. I could be wrong, I am not sure if this is accurate.
I've had multiple attempts of this and twice i've died to 98. I've been buying the final spike factory before 98 but not fully upgrading it is that where i'm going wrong? is there a specific reason you don't buy it at all until you can afford carpet of spikes?
It takes away the arch buffs from the other spike factory, which is why it wasn’t placed earlier. That might be your issue. It’s also been nerfed in the last patch (both paths). You need to use sauda’s abilities to make up for the nerf. Tbh I’d recommend getting something else instead of carpet at this point What I did instead was making the bottom alch a 420 right away, then getting a 040 engineer (overclocking the spike factory, and the foam helped with the DDTs) and then going for a 052 bomb tower which carried me for the BAD. Used the spare money on round 100 for spamming track extensions and reverse motor in the BAD. With this set up the BAD did not even touch the spikes, it went even smoother than in the video
Update 40.0 nerfed the pierce of spiked mines. Need to see a new guide for this map because it affects basically every strategy negatively since everyone uses it!!!

i did it today (1/1/2024) and works. Not exactly(u need to use sauda's skills some times) and active machines on 98 =)
this vid is outdated, it requires mad rng..
i died aswell.. i even retried it and ran out of suada’s abilities..
try to play early rounds like R14 and R16 with pinks and yellows at normal speed - it works
