I actually like this trade for the Knicks a lot. You don't like to see Randle and DiVincenzo go but KAT fits Brunson better offensively. I believe this move will unlock Brunson even more. Also because of the emergence of Brunson as a superstar player it changes their thought process on who to add. Brunson is now a superstar and, Towns is a star player. I also believe Mikal Bridges will return to his all NBA defensive form. OG Anunoby is the key, I don't view him as a 82 game player but if he can play 60 or more games and, be healthy for the playoffs the Knicks will be hard to beat. I also don't think the Knicks are done, they might still add another piece. As presently constructed I like their starting five and, I don't believe their bench is as thin as some people think. Deuce McBride really came on last season in a major way, I am high on Tyler Kolek even though he is a rookie, Precious Achiuwa was really good last season. The key position on the bench will be the 3 and, 5 but I actually like McBride, Kolek and, Achiuwa off the bench. If KAT is bought in I believe they can contend in the EAST
I think KAT fits better in NY way better than Randle and Gobert fit together in Minnesota

you acting like they play 10 man rotations in playoffs. Teams play 7-8 rotation in playoffs, and Knicks would be getting Robinson, McBride, and Precious from the bench. Mikal, OG, and Hart are gonna be staggered with the rotation so they dont really need to worry about wing depth. Robinson is an elite big man if healthy, and theyre more than likely gonna have him take his time with his return.

In my opinion, right now the East is more exciting than the West. Philly, Boston, NY, Milwaukee, and Indiana gonna be fun matchups. The West is deeper, but the top of the east is more interesting imo.
Knicks will regret losing Divencenzo....he was slated to win 6th man of the year with us. They gave him away for a lazy big man that doesn't play defense and is injury prone.

he wouldve been getting 20 min a game. McBride is more than capable of filling DDVs role. KAT opens up so much spacing for the Knicks whereas Randle/Mitch front court wouldnt have been able to. Knicks were DEAD LAST stretch defense, basically meaning where rim protectors stood very close from the basket vs the Knicks. This trade alone opens up so much versatility and matches up against the C's starting 5.
Kats injuries are what scare me the most about this deal. Feels like a real big leap of faith for NY.
