Still watch you for a few minutes everyday before i go out. 45 weekly mows now. You and a few other youtubers were such a big help and i cant thank you enough. Thanks Johnny !!!
My neighbor bought a Ryobi electric mower. Not much less noise unless the blades are not running. All that noise is from the blades spinning like a air plane prop or airboat. Most of the noise is not from the engine. Anyhow, that is a great looking mower and I wish I could afford one. 👍🏻👍🏻
That’s awesome to see. Really incredible to see just how improved these electric mowers have gotten in 5ish years. From 40v mowers to this commercial grade stand on!
I love the electric revolution that's here. I'm starting an all electric lawn care company and once electric trucks are more reliable I'll be getting stand ons and taking on larger property's. Love your videos keep up the good work.
Good morning it's like a new 🚗 you gotta get used to it 😉 that's what the manuals are for but how people read 📚 them until they have a problem keep on mowing and keep growing have a great 👍 day ✌️
Johnny your Grandstand is so quiet 🤫, I was like did he turn it on? You said the only way you knew it was on was when you heard the blades working. I bet once you put a chute blocker on the mower will be like that “Red October” submarine 😁😁😁. You cut it at 3 inches and once again you made the House & Garden magazine cover. 13 jobs and only used two bars out of 10 you made a fantastic choice in this mower. Just blow the grass off and that’s it 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾. Thanks for the video and continue to 💨💨💨.
A lot of positive comments in here 👍 I have been using all electric for 4 years and most people don’t believe it can work for commercial guys but I have been doing it, I guess it’s getting pretty undeniable at this point 😂
@@KingYang05 I use Ego and Greenworks. Greenworks 52” stander commercial is the work horse with ego and GW push mowers for tight spots and mostly ego hand held tools.
That's a good point, it needs a visual, like the spinning color swirl on the nose of a jet or prop, needs that on the top of the deck somewhere where it's easy to see in your peripheral view.
I love your videos great knowledge I appreciate your professionalism. Question what would you recommend if your batteries die out on the field with any of your battery equipment. You carry extra batteries. How much is a extra battery for your new Toro.
Fabulous Johnny. So quiet yet the quality of cut is great and really crisp all round. That was impressive and many thanks for sharing with us. POP SMOKE PEACE ✌️
I was going to get a GW optimus stander but recently they have been having software issues from what ive seen and current delays on production while this is being sorted out is another indication to me to wait. As a solo operation I couldn't spend the money to have a backup on hand if there was some kind of code issue for obvious reasons. I'll just stick with my vertex and wrights for another year or so until all the glitches get better.
Dude I got chronic tinnitus in both ears for 2 years now, very severe and also a humming sound.. ears always feel full.. hearing loss in right ear… everyone, wear hearing protection!!!
Do u have a solar panel on your truck? Do you have a solar generator? I ask because you could use these to keep your batteries charged throughout the day.
Hey one idea to put a green guard on it is if you have any 12 volt tools, you can buy an adapter to utilize a 12 volt battery from your favorite tool line off of Amazon. My chute blocker is powered by an m12 1.5ah battery and it does wonderful. My mower doesn’t have a battery.
It depends on the if the grass or soil is wet then edge last to minimize mud tracks on the cement and if the grass is tall you can edge and blow the grass back and mulch it
Pretty cool! Yeah the modern batt tools have a lot of torque, my echo 2600 batt trimmers have 3 power settings but I cut almost every job on 1 I’ve only had to go to 2/3 a few times for super overgrown stuff. It’s prob same w this mower, ya can vary each blade speed I’m told.
What’s the price difference between the battery powered vs petrol version? What about charging time? Let’s say you get to mow tall grass and when you get to the next lawn and not having enough battery power to complete the job? It may the right choice for your business because you have all the regular costumers, but big cleanups could be a problem 😊
There’s about a $20k price difference but also at the same time you don’t have the constant up keep and maintenance as the gas version no belts to break no oil changes at every 50 hours no spindles to fail and so on but I’m not saying there won’t be any issues for the electric version and from what I’ve seen as far as tall gras it will handle it like a champ and have plenty of power left also I’ve seen videos from company’s that are only electric and have solar panels and deep cycle batteries to charge on the go
My dad has a Wright stander with some kind of horse saddle seat. In the early 00s. There was only 1 speed and forward and reverse were the same as best as I can remember. Sounds strange to have all these different speeds.
Did Toro give you a special deal on this $30,000 mower? Spencer Lawn Care stated just the other day. Sean said just the other day that he would not be switching any time soon because he would have to charge more to switch to electric. He said that he could make a profit in Ohio with that level of expense. Could you comment on that?
I'd like to see this machine put to the test on an overgrown lawn, such as those who do those big cleanups. Then we will see what it can or can not do and how long the battery last. It didn't look like any grass was being cut.
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare I know your style...not complaining. I'm just hoping to see what it can do in some rough terrain. Maybe Toro will let someone do it. I'm sure someone is going to do a comparison test one day just as they've done for other mowers.
Hey Johnny, that is a beautiful machine you have there. So pretty soon Eli musk he’s going to be calling you up to go to the moon with him to check out the new tesla lawn more. Hope to see you in space soon. 😂😂😂😊
I think this mower qualifies for $7,500 tax credit, plus cost of gas is eliminated. This means total cost is just slightly higher than gas models. Can you confirm the tax credit?
Cool to see the first use. I totally relate to questioning whether it’s working due to the silence. I questioned my Super Recycler the first time I used it. Seems like this will be a good, addition for you.
So I worked for a Toro dealer last year, the sales rep brought one of these for us to see before they had been announced on a large scale. He had a spread sheet and with gas @$3.25 cents, it would take roughly 5.5 seasons for the cost of operation to cover the cost of the machine purchase up front… Gas is currently higher than that most places and will be for multiple seasons to come, so it could be paid for much sooner… They are also rumored to be working on trailers that are able to charge the mowers.
Gas powered mowers are still better. These battery powered ones are way more expensive and like all battery powered equipment. The battery will start to charge less and less over time. What the cost to change a full battery??? What we need is maybe a 5 year comparison of both gas and battery mowers to see what each is more cost effective. Only then will we know if we should even make the switch.
@@dalewiley9208 well this is for commercial use definitely not intended for the homeowner so I see why the price tag even though it’s extremely expensive I get it but if a homeowner is looking at an electric mower best bet is the ego mowers and trimmers

And for that, we thank you. I think electric has it's place and it's pretty much here now. I'll just wait 5-8 years once the price drops with more competitors going electric, and also to see how well the battery lasts throughout the years - I know they lose their juice if used repeatedly with daily charging. Another thing I'd like to see how it handles the hot summers in Georgia / Texas.
