I wish her the best, but I think she was hired for diversity. Unless a woman has a past history of doing mechanic work on their own, there is no reason to hire a woman mechanic other than diversity. Mechanic work is physically demanding and men are better suited for it, and saying so shouldn't be a social crime. She will either end up quitting, being transferred to another position or have an easy career of doing light maintenance work like changing oil and checking fluids. I can't see most woman doing major repair work. I guarantee there is a more qualified man out there who applied for this position, but got passed up by the stupid pursuit for diversity.
