You are largely responsible for peaking my interest in maples after stumbling across your channel a couple of years ago. My collection is relatively small (~30 cultivars) but growing. Thank you for continuing to share your beautiful trees, knowledge, and experience!
Really enjoyed your vids over the years. It’s interesting to compare our common trees considering we’re both on the west side of town. My monumentale still hasn’t broken bud yet! Yours is giving me hope
Great as always! I think your experience and reviews of new JP's are so valuable. I got a couple of your new ones also(Super Dragon and Mystic Jewel). I got to visit Metro Maple last fall and was really impressed with the owner and he's staff. Such a nice man. Did you know he paid for the dinner at the MrMaple meetup in Fort Worth? I also started using Nature Shield occasionally and get that white streaking or blotches that will last some time. Reminds me of hard water deposits. Nice to hear your commits about different soil mixes in different containers. Keep educating us un-educated. Please
Thanks for another video! Many of your trees seem more green. 'Bronze Age' leafs out nice and red for me in Omaha in full sun. Interesting to see how they perform in different climates. Looking great as usual.
I live in Texas and I did some testing on pots and found that light colored pots are much cooler. I don't put any of my collection in clay or ceramic pots out here as that would almost certainly kill the trees. I am not sure where you are. Nice collection. It is always cool to see other collectors gardens. Maplestone does an excellent job with their trees. I am near Metro Maples and have a few of the Dragon cultivars. They absolutely rock and they love our climate out here in Texas.
Appreciate the content! 🤘 What exactly was the name of the green maple with star shaped leaves at 7:30? It sounded like you said Acer Oliver or oliverianum. I have hot blonde, hot sauce, and mystic jewel as well. Just did not recognize that one.
Thanks, always enjoy your videos

Always enjoy your videos. Great to see maples growing in California. Thanks

That one likes to take its time.

We all know the very famous nursery that ships liner as one gallons.
Glad I finally found a Maple channel near my zone (Torrance/10b). The Monrovia selections at the big box stores just don't work for me.

This spring has been cool and overcast until just recently which probably explains the lack of reds.
Long time sir.i've watched your interview in mr.maple some time ago.keep up with your collection and thank you for sharing with us.

I'm in coastal Northern California so I don't get much heat here.
@@maplecollector4398 I used to live in Coastal Southern California. You definitely don't have heat issues there.
Welcome back! Enjoy learning from your videos. You're my inspiration trying to grow Maples down here in San Diego so far so good.
Thank you, i have missed you videos.
Great to see you were able to get a video out. Every time you show red jaguar it just makes me want it even more. Great video.

That's Acer olivaceum which is a different species than Acer oliverianum.
I like your Bronze Age!
Fourth.
