I'm trying to grow my hair out for a quiff, but I'm new to the whole hair drying with a concentrator and pre-styler game... My hair is pretty thick so it's tough to get a textured look once I'm done blowing drying it. I use Tony & Guy moose before I blow dry with medium heat, high speed and a small paddle brush. Should I use any oils or anything before I even use the moose? Very hard to get some separation in my hair so it just looks like an afro. Thanks man!

This might be a dumb question but would it be smart to use a hair conditioner like hair serum and then use bluemaan and then finish off with a strong hold cream like the Shear Revival Gray Ghost Cream Pomade? Would it still make your hair feel soft but wouldnt loose volume and also would it still be a strong hold?
