    Thanks for joining me for todays what I eat in a day! I’ve started working with my dietitian again and am taking it one meal at a time, aiming for 1600-1700 calories a day and 130g of protein! I am also working out at the gym 3 times a week and aiming for 6,500 minimum steps a day! Subscribe if you want to stick around and watch my bridal glow up!

    For the single leg step ups, do them in reverse! Start off with something tall, like a bench or jump box, and lower yourself down using the wall or something for stability to where you don't touch the ground or barely touch it. You still get the benefit of stepping up when you raise back up but you eliminate the possibility for a kick off with your other foot!

    So glad you’re back! Missed ya! Gotta try that guac with plain Greek yogurt and lime juice! Yum! And the cottage cheese with tomatoes & a little balsamic. Love it!

      @LouiseLane I wish I could use a walking treadmill during work, but I am extremely clumsy. Ps way to go, girl! Getting your steps in and your other movement.

    Aww, I've missed you. I'm so happy to see that smiling face!! As you probably remember, Lubbock doesn't have a Trader Joe's (Boo) so I'm pumped to try out the creamy guac recipe. I've eaten cottage cheese w/balsamic for quite some time now, but I add a few sliced black olives, cuz I'm extra special like that, lol!! Make sure next time that we get to see the fur babies, I miss them too

    I am very interested in that steak bites recipe, sounds right up my alley. Also, I love burrito bowls and a small thing I am finding that are taking mine to the next level is adding store bought pico de gallo (it would taste even better with non-store bought pico but ain't nobody got time for that)

    I’m gonna try mixing the avocado with the Greek yogurt like you said because buying guacamole premade it goes bad overnight almost all the time. Thanks for this tip

    You could also try using a wall on the step ups to give you something to push/balance against. That's super helpful l I find.

    Can you tell me how you figured out how much protein to intake daily? Thank you ❤

      I work with a registered dietitian but a good rule of thumb is your goal weight number in grams, so if you want to be 150lbs you can aim for 150 grams of protein per day! My dietitian started me at 120 until I started meeting that regularly then we bumped it up!

    Try the step ups without weights and build up to it!

    step ups- don't step all the way down, you're not fulling engaging the muscle and can hurt your ankle coming down too hard. for balance you can hold onto a rack or the wall (don't use it to pull yourself up. just for balance) and just do 8 right step ups REST then 8 left leg REST and then the 2nd set.

      @@LouiseLane yep! Or since it looks like the bench is a little too tall for you, just lower it down enough to where you’re feeling the tension in your glute and come back up. (leaning forward also makes it more flute focused. Straight back is more quad)

      I just buy the Kodiak muffin mix and follow box instructions!! You can add a scoop of protein to it too but it only adds a gram or 2 per muffin🫶🏻

    If you see anything else in your gym to step on that isn't as high then use that. I'm 5'3 and sometimes things are way to high for me to step up. I have stubby legs 😆

    Definitely put the weight down and lower the bench or use a box. For sure no weight.
    I honestly don't think you need weights for those at all. Just do more reps. You are already lifting your weight another 10lbs isn't going to make a huge difference

    You only had 108 grams of rice but typed in 189 grams.

      108 was the grams but 189 was the calories! The camera kind of went blurry at that part, sorry about the confusion!
