Man I bought that Marshall about 35 year's ago. Wish I still had that. I bought an old Dodge, and all the parts were in the trunk marked in Spanish. I named it The Taco Wagon. Cool video Thanks.
To this day, I've probably seen YFF more than any other band in the world. And yeah, that's the real Tad, really how he plays. YFF are the REAL Seattle sound (along with bands like Flop, the Fastbacks, Pure Joy, etc.). Ragged, melodic, and heaps 'o fun.
Saw them open for the Chili Peppers at Brown back in the day. Drummer wore the helmet and crashed his head into the cymbal on the pole. Very distinctive style. 😂
This one really shows you Tad's stage persona. That's the way he played for real. It's Tad in all his glory, with his wacky drum kit. And this is one fine song.
I first saw this video on the show "The Higgens Boys and Gruber" back when Comedy Central was simply called the Comedy Channel. Great track and great show.
far better than the crap that got promoted like green day or pearl jam, how many bands like this got overlooked because the music media wanted to promote certain bands at any cost?
Because they were/are just way too crescent fresh; totally super cres at best. The Paleolithic recording industry just didn't know how to deal with the phenomenon that are the YFF.

I didn't realize Flop was a Seattle band. :) I had (and lost my cassette a bazillion years ago)
These guys are amazing
Yeah, that tall floppy cymbal cracks me up. He's a monster, that's for certain.
Saw them twice in S.F. and/or Berkley 89, 90?
That cymbal thing is fehkn wicked.

Still one of my alltime fav-o-rite bands.
Three notes in and it's immediately recognizable as a Kurt Bloch piece.
Damn I love Kurt Bloch.
For good reason.
Tad is the greatest.
!!!!!!!!!! still 2015

Most underrated song ever?
sounds like fastbacks
Lead guitar performed by and song written by Kurt Bloch of Fastbacks. All the best YFF songs are his, no offence to Scott, just my opinion.
I'd love to hear them do a version. Sounds like it could be straight off Answer the phone dummy.
Remind me why these guys were not fucking gigantic.

Explorapedia the world of people brought me here. Anyone else?
it was They Might Be Giants "twistin" for me .
@@jchristopher9295 I sometimes wonder if she ever got that tape back.
Was this filmed at the Rendezvous/Jewelbox?
I wondered the exact same thing, anyone know?
Looks just like it. Pretty sure it is.
too bad, megaswenson...they're still rad.
perhaps you've "moved on" for the worse!
this was, is and will always be my kinda racket.
Back then, I thought these guys were so rad. I've definitely moved on.
Think you've taken a slide backward towards devolution. These fellows may not be young anymore, but they will always be (funky) fresh.
