Thanks for posting this. I remember buying their singles at Tower Records - specifically I remember the hand-colored drawings on the record sleeves - and seeings these guys live back in the 80s and 90s. Good times.
Scotty is the embodiment of a 'Good Time Charlie' and he does it all, does it always, right on. I dig the shit out of him, his buds both past and present.
Now it's become like a hell on Earth, and it's taking the rest of the region down with it. As someone with family roots in Western Washington going back to the turn of the previous century, the changes haven't all been for the best.
nice. but when it comes to the fellows, the word is - Too Fu*king Cool and i saw them first time at bumpershoot in '85, and many times since. why they aren't a household name is beyond me....
Saw these guys in Bellingham, early 80’s. Rock n Roll Pest Control is my fav. I still have their first two records. Fabulous stuff!
I saw them in Bellingham at Uno's or something like that.. and then I've seen them in Missoula MT
I also saw the Flaming Lips at Uno's
The Fabulous Sounds of The Pacific Northwest!
Yes!
A hallmark of the time.
Yes! Saw them at a KJET birthday bash at a bowling party in Bellevue, good times!
Oh Man! Those Portland shows with The Mats back in the late 80's were truly EPIC.
Oh that Portland show last night!!
They were the reason that I got into the Mats in ‘87.

God, I love this song.
Wasn't this a song from K-Jet 1600 AM in Seattle?
YES and you can catch the Jet Set on Mixcloud or Space 101; Mike Fuller's new millenia KJET reboot!
KJet in the early days was the coolest. Some really obscure bands were in constant rotation back then.

Ahhhhh....Seattle in the 80s was pretty perfect.

@@ModMokkaMatti I couldn't agree more.
@@ModMokkaMatti As a long time U-District resident, I got run out in 2017. Hadda leave town for greener pastures elsewhere. Never looked back. SIGH!
Only ever knew of them from their name being mentioned in a TMBG song. They're fabyaluss!!
Still trying to give her The Young Fresh Fellow's tape back?
Wow, so Jim from the Office was your drummer? Neat. :-)
Love them !
Hanging out on the AVE in the U-D!
Buying $.25 records at Second Time Around and seeing Slats and Vic.
Where's the love for Chuck Carroll?
Yes, Chuck could do it all on lead guitar!
Cooler guys never lived.

This sounds like a Kinks song. Cool.
@ixis99 oh, the horrors - someone assimilated elements of Jonathan! The YFF's vox are on-key, though, so ...

Classss.
Olééé!
Is that Scott singing this? its been so long since I've heard this song (maybe 30 years) that it sounds like somebody else... (age is a funny thing)
Chuck is on vocals
@@adubya25 / Ah! That's right I forgot he sang some songs - I loved those early albums so much
I am going to invent another test word:
TFC
figure it out.
fyi, the title of the song doesn't contain "update". That's another song.
team fortress classic
@ixis99 nope.avi
I forget how I discovered this song in the 80's. Was it from Rock Over London radio show ? Still love this indie pop gem .
Rock over London, rock on, Chicago. Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.
@@ModMokkaMattiRaid, it kills bugs dead.
@@ModMokkaMatti Must've been nationally syndicated then. We had it in Seattle, too.
Correct. I feel shame. Anywho...fixed.
