George is the best to ride at caymanas park fitzroy gillespie was riding the speedball superdocious and was leading by about 5 lenghts and he stood up tall in the saddle saluting the crowd and here comes georgie on dark shadows and catch him right on the wire he also did the same to pumpkin earlier on the race card but that feature race with dark shadows was the thriller saw him win some good races at calder and was at hialeah park in miami the day he got hurt at the starting gate

This was an excellent interview with the maestro of the pigskin.
Georgie must also remember that when he came there, Winston Ellis, Trevor McKenzie, Kenneth Mattis, Donald Andrede, David McKenzie, Winston Ford just to name a few were the ones mostly to fear.
However, Albino Ubidia was the only Panamanian that was there. The others like Herberto Castillo and Jose Bravo, etc. came after him.
Your comments are always appreciated. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Very interesting interview and the memory of the great man is impeccable not like some of these other jockeys who can't seem to remember things that happened yesterday. The intelligence of the legend stands supreme and the interviewer is supremely knowledgeable as well, once again greatness on show and I am waiting patiently on the rest be it parts 2 plus. Blessings

Thanks for watching and your quick comment.
I started watching horse racing in the late 70s. Left Jamaica in 1979! Totally lost touch with the local scene. G. Hosang was before my time. Fanna Griffiths was on the "come up". My favorite jockey at the time was Charles Hussey. Favourite horses was Legal Light, Harlequin, Royal n Regal and Hot Line.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
I would like to see an interview with Chris Armond also see or hear a race with Harlequin. But great interview with George looking for part 2.
