Love This and would love to be a part of Parts Hold. I actually have the unique and wonderful experience of training 2 technician transfers to be Parts Advisors currently. One is at about 7 months and one is brand new only a few weeks. My favorite moments include when they walk in to my office wide eyed and mind blown saying "We are so wrong about Parts in the shop, there is SO MUCH going on and so much to learn. No one understands what you guys really do back here" I've probably had 4 or 5 techs in parts in 17 years and they ALL experience this moment and communicate it. You guys rock!
As a parts manager at a Ford dealership.... Most of my day has become littered with chasing backorder parts, doing copis cases, filing short claims, calling FedEx. I'm one of the ones who don't really subscribe to the dealership programs like rim, for example. Parts needs to go back to a simpler process starting from the manufacturer. It's gotten too complicated.
Came for the parts knowledge, stayed for the dad jokes.
I’d love to be involved in this. Can’t wait to learn and share
Can't wait to get started... thanks for your support!
I like how he said parts managers could move to service but not the other way around. I feel like that's pretty accurate.
lmao i dont get it ,fish 🐟
