    Once again, thanks for the great video. I agree that Tokyo Disneyland is a fantastic park that unfortunately just doesn't get the praise that it deserves because it's just a short monorail ride away from DisneySea.
    Thank you so much for praising the Cast Members too. You took the words right out of my mouth. All of the Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea Cast Members are awesome! They are all so friendly and so helpful. There were times that I was trying to find something in the park and even though the Cast Members that I asked for directions hardly spoke any English, they smiled, stopped what they were doing, and said, "come." They then led me directly over to what I was looking for, which sometimes was quite a distance away from where they were originally working. They were not upset or annoyed that a silly theme park enthusiast all the way from California didn't speak much Japanese and couldn't find the closest bathroom even with the park map in his hand.
    Several Tokyo Disneyland Cast Members asked me about the Disneyland shirt that I was wearing and they really wanted to know how "our park" (as they worded it) compared to the original Disneyland once I told them that I was from California and grew up going to Disneyland. The Cast Members in Tokyo have a deep personal pride in their parks and they really want to represent them well to tourists that come from all over the world to visit them so that they'll come back again and again. That really goes a long way to making guests feel welcome and I really wish that other parks (yes, I'm referring to other Disney parks) would observe and learn from Tokyo Disneyland. The other Disney theme park Cast Members are all fantastic as well but the ones at Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea are just *that* much better. If you've been there, you know. ;-)
    The Tokyo Disneyland Cast Members' wonderful hospitality worked on me because I'm planning to go back in 2017, just one year after my first trip there!

    25:13 is the Critter Country area themed to Deep South margarita trail area of Santa Fe, New Mexico for the mini town with buildings and canyons themed to Diablo Canyon.

    • @ised-5239
      @ised-5239 7 років тому

      Abiquiu in New Mexico also counts as the theming of Tokyo Disneyland's Critter Country.

    • @ised-5239
      @ised-5239 7 років тому

      In California D-land, the Winnie the Pooh ride is built in Critter Country, where Critter Country of California D-land has Northern wildlife of different locations. If Tokyo's Pooh's Hunny Hunt is built in Critter Country, it would break the cowboy world and Deep South theming, where Tokyo's Critter Country only represents variants of US southern states (Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, plus Georgia River (for Splash Mountain)); thus it would be proper to put Pooh's Hunny Hunt in Fantasyland.

    For Adventureland, the themes are:
    -Pacific Islands like Hawaii and New Guinea
    -Colonial Jungle
    -And also New Orleans for the Royal Street.
    The Royal Street of Adventureland is an expansion of the lower left wall of the World Bazaar, where the Royal Street is the place where Pirates of the Caribbean and the Blue Bayou restaurant take place. Thus New Orleans themed land meets and connects to another New Orleans themed land.

    The sub-themes of Critter Country in Tokyo Disneyland are:

    -Georgia river, Song of the South and Arizona's Piestewa Peak of Phoenix (Splash Mountain only)
    -Tree houses of Austin, Texas
    -San Antonio riverside, Texas
    -Mexico
    -Sandia Mountains of New Mexico and its trails/wildlife, such as Ortiz Mountains, La Luz trail, Elena Gallegos, Pino trail, and Embudo and Embudito canyons
    -New Mexico's capital of Santa Fe and its landmarks (e.g. Diablo canyon and the western ghost town (Rackety's Raccoon Saloon area)

    The musical instruments played in the park's Western margarita earth of Critter Country are the everyday bluegrass country music instruments like banjos, guitars, fiddles, flat-backed mandolins and Dobros (a kind of resonator guitar from Hawaii that often used in country musics) and sometimes harmonicas and mouth harp. And the loop sounds rather like Steve Martin's banjo playing.

    Which is better Tokyo Disneyland or Hong Kong Disneyland? Also which one is cheaper and which one is less spread out and easy to get around and not so busy or overcrowded or overwhelming? I only ask about these 2 as I am a 45 U.K. man married to a Filipina living in the Philippines. These 2 are the closest to the Philippines. I have been to the Los Angeles Disneyland twice when I was 7 and when I was 12 and then I went to the Paris one when I was 21. We am not really into scary rides or roller. But we would obviously do some of the rides. We would also like to see a few shows and see a street parade and see a few people dressed up as some Disney characters. We do not want to go when it’s cold weather or mid summer or school holidays when it will be busy. I went to Disneyland in Paris in August it was a big big mistake as it was far to overcrowded. But we still had fun. If we have to stay in a hotel or travel lodge near to the park we do not mind.!we want to try and keep the trip as cheap as possible if that is possible. We were thinking maybe 2 days is all we need. Obviously what with Covid and travel restrictions this is a plan for the future maybe next year or the year after. So for now it’s just in the planning stages. I do not mind if the cheaper option or the less crowded option means we are not going to the better of the 2 theme parks. Just a little bit of Disneyland magic is all we need. So any info would be great.

    LOL! Shawn, Buddy, re watching this fantastic trip. I do wish you'd step outside your comfort zone of meal choices . A large part of culture immersion is culinary discovery. Expand your palette my friend. Life is too short to be so fussy, breaks my heart to see you survive on chicken, fish, and chips and burgers particularly in these Asian countries.

    I value Westernland's Rivers of America has two themes: the Gulf of Mexico and also Colorado River (the watery area between Big Thunder Mountain area and part of Critter Country below the Indian village part, and additionally, Colorado River is also part of Utah besides Colorado itself and this resembles Colorado's proximity to Utah (theming for Big Thunder Mt. area of Westernland) and also New Mexico (theming for TDL's Critter Country area). That Colorado part is also passed by railway of Western River Railroad.

    Tokyo Disneyland's Critter Country is the Asia park's New Mexico themed land where New Mexico is the mountainous state of South-Western US and Cibola forests where the mountainous terrains serve as the theming of the land's mountainous terrains and the Cibola national forests are represented by the forest-like areas with trees. Then TDL's Critter Country is also being an ultimate margarita earth of the Tokyo Disney Resort area where the state of Texas also incorporated into the land. There Br'er Rabbit will encounter more hazards in the wild west world as pioneers and Pecos Bill do.

  • @ised-5239
    @ised-5239 7 років тому

    The uniqueness of Tokyo Disneyland's Critter Country being a margarita earth due to theming of Texas and New Mexico is Splash Mountain's final fall is 60 ft instead of 52.5 ft like in both US versions (California Disneyland and Magic Kingdom).

    So in Tokyo Disneyland, World Bazaar ends at the Royal Street of Adventureland (Pirates of the Caribbean and Blue Bayou area) whereas Westernland's Mexican cession theme ends at Critter Country (wild west side of the Deep South (Texas/New Mexico)).

  • @ised-5239
    @ised-5239 7 років тому +1

    In California Disneyland, Critter Country is rather Northern themed for its sub-themes of Northern forests of North America and North Pacific, as well as half of Southern US bayous, while this Tokyo version of CC (Critter Country) is rather margarita orientated due to themed to Tex-Mex states of Texas/Arizona/New Mexico where they were owned by Mexico before becoming US states.

    • @ised-5239
      @ised-5239 7 років тому +1

      Also Tokyo's Critter Country is Indian/Apache orientated due to Western canyons, partially Palo Duro in Texas.

    • @ised-5239

      Crest Trail of Sandia Mountains, along with Cibola National Forest of Albuquerque, New Mexico are also included as sub-theme of Tokyo Disneyland's Critter Country.

    I'm going to Shanghai and Tokyo Disney in May.. I'll be in Hong Kong for 2 nights and might not have time to go to HK Disneyland. I really want to go just to say I've been and to ride Mystic Manor. Can you do enough in half a day at the park and not feel like you missed it all?

    So most of TDL's Westernland along with Critter Country's sub themes are US states that were parts of Mexico (the Mexican Cession) in 1848's Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, which consist of Texas, Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado (Westernland) and more Texas, Rio Grande, Arizona and Nuevo Mexico aka New Mexico (Critter Country).
