Man oh man, that trailer! Today the fellas and Elyse talk all about Averngers: Infinity War, the Marvel films so far, why they're mostly so damn good, and what's next for the MCU. Adam also shares the first of several awful Christmas movie reviews, and those other idiots pop by for another installment of Funhaus Presents BudHaus: Best Buds Bud Watch.

That’s So the Suite Life of Hannah Montana was basically my Infinity Wars when I was little
Ellie Sie
If only we got an Iron man vs Cpt America style fight scene between Zack, Cody and Hannah Montana in that cross over.
the jimmy neturon and fairly odd parents crossover was infinity wars part 2
ItsTheMoonMan That's an even better comparison. They even had their own version of galactus lol
Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana was my Avengers 2
What a classic
Blue = space -> tesseract
Red = reality -> aether from Thor 2
Green = time -> Doctor Strange's necklace
Yellow = mind -> Vision's head
Purple = power -> stone from GotG
Last one is the soul stone which is likely in Wakanda and is what Cap, Black Panther and co. are likely protecting when those weird creatures invade. It's also white, I think.
I'm pretty sure theres 6 and orange is soul
DragonGod00 Yeah there's five that we know about and then the sixth one. Whether it's white or orange I'm not sure.
well in the comics its orange...and in earlier movies its implied that it was being used by heimdall since he could see "all the souls in the 9 realms" or whatever that line of dialogue is aswell as his eyes glowing orange, but they may have changed that to be a much more simple mguffin
Warlock has the soul stone. He'll be in guardians 3.
well are we assuming the infinity stones will be done after the avengers films? like, nobody can destroy them soooo
If only there was an Avenger named Bruce . . . one who was a doctor nonetheless.
Justin Guidroz and was green to go along with Bruce's last name
And had an alter ego that was really strong
Bruce wayne??
I like thanos without the helmet. It makes me think that this whole war with everybody is just a Sunday stroll to thanos. That the wife told him to go out and get milk (infinity stones) and he is like, "oh ok". Then he just goes to his closet and picks out whatever. He is probably wearing crocs and a tanktop. Also love this channel, keep up the good work.
i heard this somewhere i cant remember, its an analogy for DCEU and MCU:
DCEU is like the guy with a giant dick but doesnt know how to use it, MCU is like the guy with the so-and-so dick but does the fucking work..
DCEU owns all its properties from their comicbook days: superman, batman, wonder woman, flash.. some of the most iconic superheros in comic book history. but they cant make a good film out of it.
Marvel on the other hand started with a list of B-String characters, iron man? thor? antman?? fucking guardians of the galaxy?? back in early to mid 2000s i dont even know these characters! i do know X-Men, Fantastic 4, Spiderman, and Hulk, none of which they own the licence to make a movie with, and yet the MCU is one of the most celebrated movie franchise of all time.
JZ Squared They're also very good in video games, but Marvel just blows them out of the water with anything live ation
Lendl Tan damn straight 👍
the dark night trilogy is DC but not in the official 'universe'. That trilogy is better then any marvel film. The only marvel film that I personally think is worth watching is Logan. All the others are just good times, nothing new but enjoyable. MCU is better than DCU, but the christopher nolan batman films are on a different level.
Marvel owns movie. Dc owns everything else
Ringz Marvel shows are better and their comics sell better
The fact that I loved having the trailer on repeat in the corner shows my excitement for this movie.
At around the 2 minute mark. He isn't wearing the armor because as one of the directors mentioned it's a spiritual journey for him to gather the stones, and now that he has the Power Stone he wouldn't need it anyway.
"Marvel special effects, not that much better." -Bruce 'I haven't seen Doctor Strange or Ant-Man' Greene
Nihilism he said special effects but I think he meant CG and he’s kinda right. Spider-Man is consistently the only stand out odd looking one in the movies so far. Thor CG has always been the best looking IMO but they were in worlds filled with CG.
Levi Harris-Hale Doctor Strange did have good CG though, some of the best in the marvel movieverse
sagasta1983 but that’s not the point. His point was that it is on a similar technical level to Justice League which it is. Compare Spider-Man or Iron man to Cyborg. Not that different, you can tell they’re fake. But no one cares because at least Marvel makes good movies.
Ant man had great special effects? Please.
Checkmate1138 yeah it did, the shrunk down scenes and yellowjacket was great, as well as younger Michael Douglas
Muppet Christmas Carol deserves a full fucking episode. One of the greatest films of all time. No “Christmas” qualifier necessary.
I would like to see a throwaway scene explaining what The Punisher and The Defenders are doing during all of this. It would be strange but I always find myself asking "What are they up to while all this is going on?"
The Rogue Moose didn't they say it's not part of the universe anymore? I swear I heard that somewhere
The Rogue Moose Jessica Jones doesn't care (-_-)
Daredevil is *Spoiler*
Iron Fist is doing something with Luke Cage I guess.
Punisher is just off in his own world
Won't happen. Because of things, TV can reference movies, but movies will not acknowledge TV. That rule was in place since Coulson came back.
Luke cage and jessica prolly fucking...
AGAIN
SebbeHB the tv shows react to things in the movies but the movies don’t acknowledge anything in the show.
They’re pretty much not canon at this point, this was made clear when Coulson came back.
Is James really suggesting that in civil war captain America breaks into the prison knocks out a bunch of sailors and then leaves his friends in jail? You're better then this.
26:35 LOOK AT ELYSE'S FACE WHEN BRUCE SAYS MUD SHARK i'm _GONE_ 😭😂
I will argue till I die, that the warehouse scene in Batman v Superman is the best choreographed fight scene in a comic book movie. I don't know why they changed how Batman fights for Justice League.
EDIT" If Cap, Iron Man and basically the cast from the first Avengers movie, aren't the focus of Infinity War, I'll be pissed. This is supposed to be their finale basically. It would really annoy me if they just used Infinity War to push sequels FOR Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. instead of ending the story for the og cast, I know that's gonna happen in the movie, but I mean I want Cap and co to be the main focus, not secondary characters to the next phase.
I completely agree that the choreography in marvel films are amazing. For example think back to Captain America civil war when Bucky and Captain America are beating on iron man that fight scene was awesome.
950Edward true my b
I love when they talk about the marvel movies on the podcast because it's so fun to see them genuinely praise and enjoy things they really actually like
I know you guys have mentioned before that you dont like doing movie podcasts for stuff thats universally liked, but I really enjoyed this podcast. I like hearing your guys' thoughts on the stuff I love, the same way I love watching cg spiderman be cg spiderman
I can't tell if James likes the Avengers because he's a fan of the comics or he just really likes seeing jacked and ripped dudes
Hfd?
They do show Cap freeing everyone from the prison, we get a shot of empty broken into cells at the end, so everyone is free, not in prison just in hiding. It's also implied Cap has kind of left everyone in limbo and gone into hiding even from his allies.
Dr. Strange's friend.
Ken Watanabe
Boruto's dad
Beyonce
Big Dong Wong
I like Bruce's attitude towards movies. A movie doesn't necessarily have to be good for me to enjoy myself. Sure, with a build-up like this, going over ten years or so, nothing other than absolute perfection is going to really satisfy us, but I am still 100% sure that I am going to enjoy this movie, because I've had fun as hell just watching the trailer over and over again.
Really appreciated Bruce laughing and James commenting during Budwatch. I made the same jokes in my head, glad they love the segment as much as I do :)
Pretty sure the directors said after he gets the power gem he doesn’t need armour because it wouldn’t make a difference
which is totally dumb and out of character
Sam Jessum nah if you’re powerful enough to wipe out half of the universes life in the blink of an eye it kinda makes sense
but his character in the comics can do the same but stays in his armour. why is this different?
xander trejo because the movies are never exactly like the comics
But don't change the coolest things about the comics, literally everybody is complaining about this redesign, Thanos is supposed to look like a god-emperor, not some pink thumb in a tank-top
I love Adams attitude during the podcast I thinks it's so honest it's hilarious. I also like that this is Adams show , he runs it perfectly
When I saw this trailer for this first time. GOOSE BUMPS!! chills everywhere
Watching grown ass men recaping Air Bud after over analyzing and over speculating a 2 minute superhero movie trailer confirms that Funhaus is either the coolest thing a nerdy teen can watch or the lamest thing a teen can watch either way it's past my bed time thanks for the entertainment guys
The closest thing to the MCU is the Arrowverse on CW. They have 4+ shows that have been expanding the universe for over 6 years all while crossing over with each other frequently. The DC movies need to learn a lesson from their successful TV shows and not attempt to make us care about characters simply because we know who they are.
I love it when Bruce keeps it real with the racism
Bruce Greene totally forgot all about a Marvel character called Bruce who turns green
LMFAO, Extremis is what helped allow Tony to live without the arc reactor and ended Ironman 3, the thing on his chest is just a part of the suit not his chest
In iron man 1, his arc reactors ran out of energy so he had to keep making new ones. in 2, he used palladium cores to power the reactor. the palladium is what was poisoning him so he created a new element that could power the reactor and keep him alive. I guess him removing all the shrapnel and getting rid of the reactor was more symbolic bc he also trashed all his suits, but duty keeps on callin.
I actually had no idea what Bruce said at first that gave everybody the "what the fuck!!?" face so I went back and had to look up "mud shark" then I understood why everyone was in shock after he said that!
Thank you so so much for all your podcasts! They keep me sane whilst I'm bedbound from my ovaries trying to slowly kill me.
I believe the arc reactor we see in the trailer is the new "Bleeding Edge" armor. Which is the 2nd most advanced armor they have in the comics, and is entirely composed of nanomachines. So its completely interchangeable for the situation.
I think that the way doctor strange beat dormamu was awesome it was a creative way to resolve the story with another giant fight. People complain the movies are to similar but also complain when they try unconventional ways to do things. I want more of that.
Funhaus helps me through the weekend hangovers, (Lawrence knows what I'm talking about). Thanks for uploading on the weekend guys!
Literally shaking with excitement when I first watched the trailer - they hit on some good points, it's incredible that superheroes are this popular, 10-15 years ago I'd never have dreamed it could be this! Amazing what Marvel have done...
That Chris Pratt moustache is always mesmerizing when it comes around. Literally didn't think it was him at first. Just makes him look like a random extra in the scene.
I hear Spookums is gonna be in the phase 4 of the MCU
When Adam mentioned the Fantastic Four and X-Men, I kind of giddily shivered. I'd love to see IW: Part 2 (Whatever it ends up being called) tie those properties in. I, personally, think that would be a HUGE win for Marvel
I just wish DC would have followed the Marvel route and gave each character a Movie or at least give the Flash a movie and maybe Batman
The CVR123 it should’ve gone
Man of steel
Batman movie
Wonder Woman
BvS
Flash
Aqua man
Justice League
Luis Navarro No BvS, just go straight into JL
Just not enough time for that. They’d be on Wonder Woman right now and would release justice league until well after infinity wars part two or whatever. I love DC but fuck it’s disappointing that they keep releasing shit movies.
The only thing I'm worried about is they are trying to tell too many stories and it will either feel rushed or like mush when combined.
"I went to another reality to escape from this." - Lawrance, because of fucking course it was Lawrance who would say that.
my respect for Adam grew during this video, he really knows his shit and his points are amazingly valid. He pointed out a lot of things i had never thought about previously, best movie podcast ever!
Adam has failed me by not watching The Muppets Christmas Carol. He can only be redeemed by returning from watching said movie and declaring his absolute love and admiration for the singularly best movie in existence.
First time I saw the Russo brothers was the community paintball episodes. They've come a long way, but even when they had a TV budget their action scenes were 100 proof
they should've called the airbud section, Budwiser. Because we all get a little bit wiser :)
I love filmhaus. Keep it up guys. You are the best.
Lawrence: "God damnit, I went to another reality to escape this" XD
26:54 LMAO Really Lawrence? you just had too didn't you? lol hahaha I love this so much 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have to chuckle whenever I see Star-lord with that littlefinger moustache.
Ive been saying it for the passed couple years where the MCU has pulled it off where each movie feelings episodic rather than a movie. Its bitter sweet to cinemabuffs, because you kinda have to watch all the Marvel Movies to understand everything and each film doesnt really have that dynamic tone where every film is separate in its own way like the The Dark Knight Trilogy, but its astonishing to see how they made this Cinematic Universe possible. Though, I kinda wish the the tv universe could be a part of it.
I think the reason why Tony Stark has an Arc Reactor on his chest is because of the new Armour upgrade. By the looks of it, the armour is based from the Bleeding Edge Armour which he installed within his bones. Guessing he still needs to power it to summon his armour out.
i agree with elyse it might be too many characters so some only get bits just because it's not possible to focus on all the characters storylines in the timeframe of a movie and also with james where they focus on the characters with upcoming movies which is the opposite of justice league where they decided to not focus on the characters with upcoming movies (aquaman)
"Here's 50 milllion dollars, show up to set!"
This is the best line
Dear god, my 6 year loves snow and santa buddies. They are as soul crushing to watch the 1st time as they are the 20th time. Kill me....
Tony Stark didn't have the shrapnel and the arc reactor removed originally because he thought that that made him iron man. At the end of IR3, he realized he was iron man and not just the suit. He says something like this at the end of the film.
I probably worded that poorly. Please forgive me.
It’s like movie makers forget that people are going to watch the movie more than once. People can watch a movie without understanding every reference or character without blatant exposition and then do their homework on their own time to see the other movies, read the comics, etc
"maybe there could have been a break out? But you don't see it".... Sure, he just knocked out the security guards to show up and not break them out.
It's like in real life when you have friends from different circles meet each other
Why can't Lawrence sit and talk? It looks like he wants to.
Antitheist eddie he has to work.
Forget scores and critics for just a moment, and think of all the money Marvel has gained from over a decade of movies. They're doing all of that just to afford the budget for IW. Why is DC only going for fast money and not the ten year's worth of fortune? It makes no fucking sense!
I didn't realize it untill Elyse said it, it's the tag team shots that were missing in Justice League, all the scenes I remember are with The Flash because he was the glue in a scene so he had to tag with everyone else he didn't have solo fight scenes. I think Elyse hit the nail on the head.
Is it me or does Thanos look like Bruce Willis
Glad to have my Budwatch boys back
“Another Loki heel turn” I literally laughed out loud
Response to Adam's question at 19:15 regarding the ending for Iron Man 3 = The reason why Iron man 3 had a scene of the arc reactor being removed from Tony's chest was because at the time Marvel studios were unsure if RDJ was to sign on for future Marvel movies planned. In 2013, it was shown as a kind of "closure" to the character in case such thing was to happen (still terrible ending if you ask me). True it makes no sense that the arc reactor appears in future Marvel movies as its completely broken continuity. Unless it gets explained in a future easter egg of sorts, I think it will remain as a badly constructed conclusion to one of the most important characters in the Marvel series.
Mud shark? Jesus Christ, that's a first. I actually had to look it up. That's probably the most offensive thing I've heard Bruce say, lol.
Evan Saltare one of the many reasons why I love Funhaus 😂
I knew what it was beforehand and made the exact same face as Elyse
null null 26:35 is when the conversation leading to it starts.
To save others who didn't know looking it up: it's a white girl who exclusively dates black guys
Harry Redmond that’s more like the kid friendly version and probably close to what Bruce thought it meant
I thought it was pretty well known that this Avengers is Infinity War, while the next one will most likely be Infinity Gauntlet. This story will go through how Thanos gets all the Infinity stones and the next will be once Thanos actually assembles the gauntlet. Thus bringing every hero together to fight Thanos in the ultimate climax of Infinity Gauntlet.
It was definitely implied that Cap broke everyone out of the Raft at the end of Civil War.
Bruce, stop trying to Jontron the fucking channel
So many colorful terms I've learned from Bruce
Yes Elyse convert Adam!! Me and my wife always watch Muppet's Christmas Carol on Xmas eve. I love those 'Meeeces with their cheeses'!
I'm impressed that they actually knew so much about the air bud puppies.
Marvel said awhile ago that Infinity will follow the plot of the different groups fighting Thanos and the Black Order for each individual Infinity Stone. Judging by that poster released awhile back that could possibly mean:
Team 1:
Adolescent Groot, Star Lord, Rocket, Drax, Thor and Loki
Team 2:
Falcon, Cap Murica, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Vision and Ant-Man
Team 3:
Gamora, Nebula, Mantis, Iron Man, Spider Man Dr. Strange and Wong
Team 4:
T'Challa and his Dora Milaje, Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, War Machine and Hulk
14:20 Well, Dunkirk did that too. And it is satisfying watching all of subplots converge at the end of the movie.
What I'm worried for about this movie is Thanos. I mean, I wish they set him up more in the previous movies but then again, I guess it's understandable how they would want each movie as a standalone with just small Easter eggs and short scenes regarding Thanos and the Infinity Stones.
But to be quite honest, I wouldn't mind a movie about him and his Black Order but I doubt Marvel would do that so they better make this HIS movie. He better dazzle the audience because while Cate did a great job on Hela, her character was just a tad bit disappointing in my opinion, she could have been so much more. Here's hoping Thanos delivers and not be some bland big grey villain.
I love that Lawrence is doing VR in the back of them.
ALL INFINITY STONES
Green=time (Eye of Agamoto)
Purple=power (GOTG Stone)
Blue=space (Teseract)
Yellow=mind (Lokis Scepter/Vision)
Red=reality (Aether)
Orange=soul (Unknown)
I believe Tony has the arc reactor because he has it in his clothes and it allows him to form the suit around him when he needs it.
When Elyse said Antman vs Wasp my mind flashed to the image of him smacking her.
The director explained that thanos no longer needs the armor as he grows more powerful with each infinity stone he finds.
If DCU wasnt so busy trying to bum rush catch up with marvel, they would be in a better spot movie wise than they are now. Marvel Avengers is close to ending. For those that know the comics Infinity War, this is a HUGE fucking deal. We talking possibly 1 more movie of Avengers, then they'll have to shut down the Avengers movie project unless reboot.
Man of steel was dope, Batman trilogy- everyone was on its dick, Wonder Woman was cool. If they focus on more character development then Big movies like JL, then we be loving dcu.
Honestly It'd be super cool if the movie was already split into multiple parts and some parts of the trailer were for future movies. Really building into the future of infinity war.
That mud shark groan from Lawrence in the back :')
as excited as I am to see Dr. Strange interact with the avengers and how he fits in their group, I have a feeling he's gonna have a small role esp with how powerful he is, basically 'defeating' dormammu by trolling him.. I really hope he gets a good chunk of a role in this movie, esp since he holds one of the infinity stones.
You're wrong about the puppies
Jon, Air bud had them in Air Bud: World Cup not Golden Reciever. Fun fact: in another dog movie, "The Duke", there's a scene where two main dogs are watching Air Bud: World Cup on tv.
Bruce laughing at 28:34 during the ad read 😂
What I love about Marvel is that their coming together movies feel like they are earned, not just a cash grab like DC with Justice League. When I watched Avengers I felt like I was being rewarded for seeing all the movies that came before, because all of the characters in the team were introduced so well (almost) and I felt especially close to Iron Man seeing that he got 2 movies. That's why I'll always think Marvel is leagues ahead of DC. Not only that but I sometimes think whenever a trailer comes out that the movie might not be so good because they're going into uncharted territory (Guardians. Dr. Strange) but now I see that Marvel can do no wrong. This is me being a Marvel fanboy, but I also want DC to do well and I'm hoping they can learn from Marvel
see everyone except adam havent read infinity war and they talk like they know all the character history when really they have just watched the movies
I'm excited for this movie not because i've had time to know each hero but because they've been building up Thanos so much i can't wait to see the pay off.
You guys know how to make an ad read enjoyable.
Jon being Jon: $4.20
Adam being Adam: $69.69
Bruce laughing in the background: PRICELESS
Elyse showing off a MVMT watch at the end of the Leesa ad was hilarious
If Warner Bros didn't hold Zack Snyder hostage we would have seen the guy marvel copied named darkseid. Darkseid honestly way better agenda, rather than finding jewels for his bracelet.
If the Funhaus crew were Marvel characters, James would be Captain America, Bruce would be Star Lord, Elyse would be Black Widow, Lawrence would be Peter Parker, Joel would be Dr Strange, Matt Peake would be Hawkeye, Adam would be Tony Stark...
Discuss.
Bruce Greene should be the Hulk though
spoole would be a baby boy
What about if they were sonic characters though?
Ben Williams lol elyse would be mantice
Elyse is Black Panther, what you talkin' 'bout Willis?
That Thanos as Rick from Pawn Stars meme won the internet.
I love DC with a passion, Batman is my favourite superhero ever, but damn Marvel's shitting on them in the movies
I am so excited for this movie and I love Marvel. I always like what the team has to say, especially Adam because comic books. I enjoyed the entire podcast/video, but my favorite part was the Airbud movie review with John and Bones. Love everyone from FunHaus.
I really like the idea Adam had. Are these movies becoming television episodes? Breaking Bad, Dexter and so forth, bent the lines for television a lot like Miami Vice did. Just thought it was interesting.
Everything James was saying around 18:17 I completely agree with. I feel like Cap and Iron Man will die and clean the slate for the new characters. Like maybe there will be a new avengers with Bucky or Sam taking the mantle of Captain America, Spider man will maybe meet Miles Morales considering that he was talked about in Homecoming, Dr Strange will be getting a lot more screen time and that seems more evident since he made his first cameo in Ragnorock, and so on. Marvel clearing the plate of their leftovers so they can put new stuff on the dish will be smart and I’m pretty excited to see what’s next.
Tommy G they have to kill off iron man , or it'll kill them with like 100+kill. A movie 1
