25:57 I know Gav's not gonna read this, but to answer his question about whether or not Strange can use his powers if he doesnt have his hands: In The Dr Strange movie, it shows one of the students being able to conjure a spell even though he didnt have hands. So I think Strange should be able to do the exact same.

    • @thebadjuju2035

Yup, exactly. The whole point of that origin movie was for Strange to expand his mind beyond his physical capabilities.

Yup, when I started listening to the rt podcast and watching achievement hunter, one of the big things was learning their names through the intros/nameburns and associating that to their faces/voices. It's super helpful (especially at the beginning when mic quality wasn't that good and Ryan and Jack sounded exactly alike except Jack uses his higher register more than Ryan)

Burnie, the 9 realms (in the MCU) are just 9 different planets in the same universe that are linked by a cosmic nimbus Yggdrassil. Asgardians are not interdimensional beings, just a highly advanced/evolved species. Like the Olympians and many other "Gods" that haven't appeared on the MCU yet.

Bernie, about the Apple Watch: Series 2 onward is waterproof up to 50 meters for up to 30 mins. You can take it in saltwater, but you’re supposed to rinse it off in fresh water afterwards. Also, you don’t have to start a swimming workout to expel water out of the watch, you just have to turn on then off Water Lock, which you can get to by swiping up from the watch face. You don’t need to have Water Lock on to make it waterproof either, it just disables the touch screen so that water doesn’t accidentally activate it. I know all this because I just researched it for my own Apple Watch. The conversation is at 10:36 in case anyone else was wondering.

The ending of Infinity War was expected but at the same time was unexpected. That's what made the movie so good. The original snap in the comics didn't have the heros disappear but half the population just vanished, so including heros in those effected in the snap and which ones were effected was the unexpected part.

I also thought the bi-frost can actually only go to the nine realms. At least, we haven't seen the bifrost being used to reach anywhere else than the nine realms in the MCU. And titan isn't included in the nine realms. Despite all that, Thor didn't know about titan in the first place.

    • @wave1090
      @wave1090 6 років тому +3

The bifrost is used to travel through Ygdrassil, the cosmic cloud connecting the 9 planets known as the 9 realms. So yeah, Thor couldn't just go to Titan

Might be tmi, and I know using Rooster Teeth as a medical reference is odd, but I've had a pain in my left ball since about 5th grade that comes and goes and its awful. Went to three doctors, all of them said it was a hernia, so I had surgery and it turned out not to be a hernia. Doctors never knew what it was and I've just lived with it for the past 9 or so years. Hearing Burnie talk about epididymitis and say it can be reoccurring makes me think thats what it could be. You never know what you can learn within the first 5 minutes of these podcasts.

    An explanation to Infinity War.
I think the "bifrost" can only send you to a space in time. It cannot direct you to a certain person. So Thor didn't know where Thanos was so he went to Earth, a space in time he knows of, in order to get help from the Avengers. Since Thanos' army was already there, he could infer that Thanos is probably here.

    • @wave1090

Theory: After rewatching the Doctor Strange movie there is a moment when he first gets the Eye of Agamoto and is playing with the rituals. Mordo warns, "Temporal manipulations can create branches in time". I'm thinking that the path that was the only path that they would be able to win from Infinity Wars has something to do with an accidental branch in time that might have been created at some point in the first Doctor Strange movie.

The explanation I would give Burnie's axe thing, Thor knew about the infinity stones on Earth, so it made sense to go there to help. He did not know that one of them was now on titan.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned it just yet. But near the start of the podcast when they are talking about different Star Wars versions. For anyone out there who hasn't heard of them google Hamys Despecialized Star Wars, you won't regret it. It's an ongoing project to make blurays versions of the original theatrical releases of the trilogy. They are the greatest things to come from the star wars fans

51:05 FYI to the people who don't understand how time works, the 19 hundreds or the 19th century is NOT the 1900 - 1999 because of how dating works the 19th century is 1800 - 1899, meaning 1900 - 1999 is the 20th century or the 20 hundreds. Because the 1st century is from 1 - 99 meaning 100 - 199 is the 2nd century and this just continuously gets pushed back until president day, which is why today is called the 21st century not the 20th century.😉

Your main point is correct, but the "19 hundreds" are definitely the years from 1900-1999. It is not, however the 19th century.

In health class at 15, there were comprehension questions on STIs. "Can you get an STI from a toilet seat?" And so begins a long discussion between our group which gradually infects the class: suppose there was a massive gaping wound on your cheeks and there was a big pile of infected blood on the seat?

I've got a horrifying drink story for anyone that cares to read.
I woke up one Saturday morning, and like usual I was a bit thirsty, so I reached up for the glass of water I keep on the side table. As I tilted my head down to drink from the water, a spider about the size of my fist falls off from my hair and lands in the water. I had no idea it was there or how it got there, but for a few weeks afterwards whenever I felt something move my hair I would briefly think it was another spider trying to nest up there. Mostly because I found another spider in my hair the week before and was starting to wonder if they like being up there for some reason.
Also the spider didn't drown. I poured the water out, and it sprang back to life before I chucked it outside.

One thing that bothered me with Infinity War was how Bruce Banner knows so much about Thanos. He saw him when he was the Hulk and they've shown that memories aren't really shared between hulk and banner. I never understood how he knew so much about thanos. Maybe that's intentional and there's gonna be some twist in endgame, but I always thought that was so weird.

About the whole Vic situation, when you have multiple people coming forward, videos of evidence, workers and people who know him, admitting what Vic did to them then the answer to this would be pretty clear to fire him.
